Comment:
Purchased this drive in October 2013 for a dual boot Haswell-based desktop. Has performed like a champ under a linux/win7 setup. The imaging software offered was even useful at one point when Clonezilla was failing me. Fan of the Adata now.

I had some bad experience with my previous SSD two years ago so it take me some courage to try this one out, especially it is a new brand to me.However, everything turns out to be much better than I expected. The speed of this drive feels like a top end model, no lag, no lost+found files, nothing. With such solid price, i am considering to buy a larger one for me so that I can give the smaller one to my mon. I think She should like it even she doesn't really care about the speed most of time.

ADATA SX900 2.5" 256GB SSD SATA 3 SandForce 2281 550MB/SEC Write and 530MB/SEC Read
Cons:- Cheaper now than when I bought it?

Pros:- Fast drive (quick check a second ago: 510 read, 490 write)- No data corruption/problems, 10 months in- Great value
Comment:
Really quick drive, straight forward installation like any other hard drive. Windows boots 3 times faster than BIOS POST.256GB is right at the sweet spot for me. All my programs can be installed on the SSD, so they load fast (including games), and I store documents/data on another regular HDD.Came with 2.5->3.5" bracket, fits perfectly. This was a good buy.

ADATA SX900 2.5" 256GB SSD SATA 3 SandForce 2281 550MB/SEC Write and 530MB/SEC Read
Cons:issues with the included 2.5" to 3.5", does not support lock-clip for the SATA3 cable

Pros:Capable SSD
Comment:
This SSD performs as it was advertised, however it was a major let down that the pins used to connect the 3.5" adaptor did NOT fit through the holes. This SSD also does not work with clips used to secure the SATA 3 cable

ADATA SX900 2.5" 256GB SSD SATA 3 SandForce 2281 550MB/SEC Write and 530MB/SEC Read
Cons:blue screens galore, slower than other SSDs

Pros:nothing really
Comment:
I bought this drive as my primary OS drive after seeing it on sale and it had some decent reviews. With minimal PC building knowledge, I didn't really know what was causing my blue screens. I thought it was something I had installed wrong, didn't put enough thermal paste on the CPU, whatever. I finally rebuilt the exact same system but used my Patriot Pyro SE as the primary drive and haven't had a single hiccup. It's also 4x as fast to boot. The Adata drive is total junk. There are lots of others out there for similar price. Don't skimp out on an extra $20 or something to get a quality product, because this one will just be a pain in your butt.

This SSD is fast and great, work well in my laptop. No problem at all using this SSD but i thought it was coming with a software like the Samsung SSD. That would be very usefull to help disable stuff in Windows and to optimize everything. Still able to do it manually

Pros:fast; relatively cheap; reliable so far
Comment:
got the 256GB one in early Dec 2014 on an i5 mATX build with gigabyte mobo. still working great no complaints. fast. might get another one for next build...comes with a 3.5" sled and thickness pad (for mounting in laptops since these guys are a few mm thinner than a standard 2.5" mech drive) which i didn't need for the build, but ended up useful for another kingston 128GB V300 that came with just the drive and no other parts that was installed in an older desktop case that doesn't support 2.5" drives natively.update: Dec 2014; have it for almost a year now, absolutely nothing wrong and still working great! ADATA SX900 2.5" 256GB SSD SATA 3 SandForce 2281 550MB/SEC Write and 530MB/SEC Read
Cons:Limited RMA support, No RAISE, Dead within 6 months of intermittent use

Pros:Great Cost/Performance Ratio
Comment:
Purchased a few of the 128GB SX900 drives, from NCIX and other stores, all have worked flawlessly, couldn't be happier with them. However, today is now the second 256GB SX900 drive that has died inexplicably. Completely dead, BIOS sees nothing in each case. Cables/Ports/Motherboard all checked clean.I'm in Canada, and all RMA's in North America must be shipped to California at the customers expense (don't forget tracking and insurance). RMA's are only processed via email. Mind you, they do get back to you within 24 business hours.If/when I get this one back or a replacement, I still can't trust it for any kind of day-to-day use. ADATA SX900 2.5" 256GB SSD SATA 3 SandForce 2281 550MB/SEC Write and 530MB/SEC Read
Cons:The imagining software it comes with lacks features and functionality.

Pros:Works as advertised, gives you all the great things SSD's do for your computer.
Comment:
SSD works great, had to imagine using the included software. The acronis software "version" that is bundled is very basic. It would not let me use the whole ssd after I selected the hdd to copy. It was confused or something as I had a partition on the hdd. I ended up having to create  a 120gb system partition as it wouldn't let me use the whole ssd. Very disappointing software version from acronis. The initial setup for the image software was not straight forward either. Had to go through a "round about" process to get a serial activated and work for a very limited version. Other than the image software the drive is great! It is fast and doesn't hiccup at all. Best priced ssd avail and is a quality drive!

Cons:First drive was DOA, took a whole day of troubleshooting to confirm it was dead. Included cloning software would not work.

Pros:Good price for a 256gb drive.
Comment:
First drive was DOA, luckily I had another computer in house to verify it was dead, but I lost a whole day trying to make it work. Cloning software would not work on this drive, had to do a fresh install. Last 2 ssd I purchased did not have this problem.

Cons:doesn't come with usb cable for you to transfer your files over

Pros:-Good SSD to begin with-256GB is consider mid range for this price
Comment:
purchased it on 01/27/13, I'm using it for my macbook pro late 2011 because the mechanical hard drive drains my battery when idle. I used a software to clone my macbook pro hard drive and the swap was easy, this hard drive on a 5gb transfer using black magic give me around 550mb/s as advertised! Im kinda impress with this sad, my first and only so far. Hopefully i would buy more when it becomes cheaper and more affordable to students. I purchased it for $169.99 before tax, after tax was roughly around $190 isn. This product is Made In Taiwan so it should be a good brand cause electrons made in taiwan is pretty good quality.

Cons:Acronis software activation did not work despite following instructions precisely.

Pros:FAST!!!!Superb product all around.
Comment:
Although I have only owned the unit for a week, this is hands down the best performance related upgrade I have ever done. My intent was to get my 5 year old PC running faster, and this did the trick. I recommend this unit to anyone looking for an immediate increase in performance. The only downfall was the Acronis imaging software would not register correctly, so I ended up having to do a fresh install of Win 7, which was probably for the best anyway. Buy this from NCIX, no place else is cheaper for an SSD this size and this quality. 3 yr warranty on unit, can't lose. Came with the adapter to replace the physically larger original, fit perfectly, even used a spare laptop drive in the same space for backup and storage purposes.

ADATA SX900 2.5" 256GB SSD SATA 3 SandForce 2281 550MB/SEC Write and 530MB/SEC Read
Cons:Desktop model, no enclosure for your old hdd.

Pros:Easy installation, great price.
Comment:
Picked this yesterday and was able to install it with no problems. The Acronis software worked well but you need to download and activate it before you can use it. It is good enough to clone your old drive and will get you going but it is not a full version. Also, take note that this is the 'desktop' version that is on sale so you won't be getting a case/enclosure for you old hdd to use as an external drive. Not a deal breaker but NCIX could do better to clarify this on their website.
