Cons:-Needs good amp-Bumpy head band

Pros:-Large sound stage-Excellent sound quality-Auto-adjusting head band
Comment:
These headphones are great. I bought them to replace my old DT 990 Pro headphones and I'm quite happy with them. The large sound stage makes it very easy to pick individual instruments in songs or to hear where things are coming from in games. I feel like the sound quality is excellent for all types of content. However, if you're looking for a bass heavy heaphone, then you might want to look elsewhere. The only downside I have so far is that the head band bumps are kind of annoying. I think I might be getting used to them though.Another thing to note is that despite these only being 32 ohm, they do require a strong amp. I have mine paired with a Little Dot MKIII, however, you could probably power it with a less powerful amp than this.

Pros:Very comfy, excellent audio quality

I've been using these headphones with an Asus Xonar Essence STX for about 2 years now. I also owned and tried different headphones over the years and those are the best (for me). The soundstage really is a plus for gaming. highly recomended.

Cons:- NEED a headphone amplifier / quality sound card,

Pros:- Incredible Sound, in every application- Great fit, over-ear design.
Comment:
Bought these from another retailer back in a time NCIX did not carry AKG products. I have had these for close to 2 years now. Purchased with a ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card and these things rock. Sound card with headphone amp definitely recommended for these things. In terms of sound, I haven't heard better and in all honestly, don't think I need to have a product "better" than this. Bass is nuts, highs too. Build quality is good, I have had the clear plastic slide thing on one side break, but so far it has not affected the fit on my head. They can take some abuse, I have dropped them and transported them countless times and they have stood up to it. I am prone to destroying headphones and these things have lasted longer than any other pair I have had before it. With the recent drops in price, they are a great buy.

Cons:Bump on the headband.

Pros:Some of the best value in a headphone out there.
Comment:
If you know headphones, you've no doubt heard of the 701s by AKG. Now that the 712s are out you can get these for a song by a price match. You will need an amp to get the most out of these, something perhaps from Schitt audio. Mid-Fi doesn't get better than these cans with an amp and dac.

Cons:Headband

Pros:LooksComfortSound QualityBuild Quality
Comment:
The leather headband has bumps and will be uncomfortable to wear if you have short hair/shaven head, otherwise it is no problem. They look great and sound is absolutely remarkable, I use it with an ODAC and fiio amp, sparkly highs and bass reproduction that isn't fatiguing. For the sale price you really can't go wrong with these phones, highly recommended, but make sure you have a DAC and AMP to go with, or the sound will not do justice to these phones!

Cons:difficult to drive, will probably need an amplifier.

Pros:Smooth, clean sound. Balanced highs, mids and lows.
Comment:
I don't own these headphones, but have been to a store that has them for demo several times, and have listened to them for quite a few hours total now.Simply the cleanest most beautiful sounding headphones I have ever listened to in this price bracket and the next as well. The only thing I've listened to that I liked better was over $2,000. That's not too bad a company to be in.I have not bought them yet because I have always been looking at closed style headphones to wear on transit and not annoy the wife with my music.... but that was with these costing $100 more at other places... with NCIX at this price.. I just may have to pick up a pair.If you are going to listen to these with a portable device, phone or portable music player... GET A HEADPHONE AMP! You will have to crank the volume otherwise, and still will hardly be able to hear them... they need power to drive them. And they leak like crazy... it is an open designed headphone. Use it at home, and not out in public. If you're in a library, bus or train, you will annoy your fellow people (you'll be in bliss though).

Cons:Need a good headphone amp to shine.

Pros:Accurate detailed and controlled bass.
Comment:
I have had these headphones for about 8 month. They replaced some expensive Sennheisers from the 1980's. I really enjoy these headphones. I use flac files with an HRT Musicstreamer II and headphone amp to drive them.I highly recommend these for audiophiles willing to put some good equipment around them.
