Works ok but with issues
Cons: Onboard video is horrible quality and quits working 3-4 times per day. It does recover quickly, but that is because of windows 7.
Pros: Cheap, onboard video, fits a phenom processor |

Works great But one glich
Cons: I used a 7750x2BE on it for most of my time having the board, Then month ago i upgraded to a 965x4BE and they both work fine! The one problem I have is when I put the computer into sleep mode everything shuts off perfectly, but when I wake it from sleep it turns on only with half the performance! From only a fresh restart I get all my performance back and this happens with both CPU's(These are two different generation of CPU's). If i boot it up fresh i can get up to 15500 in scores, but when i wake it up from sleep i get only 8000 in scores and no higher(I also notice the difference in programs, they lag a lot more when you start them up)!
Pros: It worked well from the very first day i got it! An it still run great, but one problem! Comment:
If there is a fix Asrock please put it out there! thanks! PS:NO Windows 7 drivers!?!? |

great while it lasted
Cons: Purchased 4/2009 for $80. After seven months it sometimes would not post or boot up, the power supply turned on and the power LED lit up, but that was it. After I hit the reset button a few times it would boot up. Now after eight months it never boots up at all. I should have noticed there was no manufacturer warranty listed.
Pros: 2 pcie2.0, eSATA, 6 internal SATA, firewire(1 onboard, 1 header), overclockable, directX 10, radeon hd onboard gpu plays most pre-2007 games at max. settings Comment:

Good board
Cons: Had some stability issues some time ago, removed extra nic card and seemed to have gone away
Pros: Installs vista no problem, overall good board, gaming graphics workable but not best Comment:
Great newegg price with combo |

Good MB
Cons: Would like to see support for more fans (not a big deal with this installation)
Pros: Good layout, everything is working. Comment:
Good MB for a low price, the fan thing would only apply to higher end systems. |

Cons: Did not post, either DOA or doesn't like older AM2 Proc
Pros: Cheap board with alot of features. Comment:

ASRock A780GXE/128M ATX AMD Motherboard
Cons: I can't seem to used the "ganged" memory option. I get random odd behavior ranging from stuttery performance to outright crashes. This isn't important enough to me to worry about, just an FYI.
Pros: Current Asrock boards are nice. High quality, nice layout, feature-rich, and make for an easy system build. It's not as flexible with 1066 memory as I would have liked, but I found a happy medium. Over the six-odd months that I've used it, it's been fast and very solid. Comment:
Basics: Phenom II 7204GB (2x2GB) OCZ Raptor 1066 DDR2 (with the funky heatpipes that look like handles :-)640 GB Western Digital Blue HDHIS H435H512P Radeon HD 4350 512MB Win 7 RC1It overclocked to 3.2 GHZ effortlessly with nothing but a multiplier change. The retail heatsink is okay at this speed. Dual channel memory config with 1066 forces the use of slots 1 & 2.I was actually able to get a POST with the Phenom 720 with a BIOS revision one too low. It was a little twitchy, but plenty good enough to install Win 7 and make the update, which smoothed things right out.No real complaints, especially considering the initial build cost, which was very reasonable. (memory prices were much lower then than now) It's a lot of bang for the buck. I'm not a gamer; you'll want more video-wise if you are. |

The BIG Let Down
Cons: no onboard leds, sli mode 8x instead of 16x. board does not recognize either of my sounds cards. creatives audigy 2 or the x-fi i have. This is a huge let down. i expected more from these guys. i usually buy ecs boards and have not one problem.
Pros: sli, premium capacitors, firewire port, 4 mem slots, esata ports. An AM3 supported board that runs on ddr2. Comment:
yep. stay away. if ur trying this board for the first time. i suggest looking right past this board. i would not recommend this to anyone. |

Great Value!
Cons: It doesn't have DDR3 capabilities, but for the price, I wouldn't expect it to.
Pros: This board is great value for money. It has awesome bios and possibilities for overclocking. Very durable board. Comment:
I have the board matched with 4GB of Wintec DDR2 memory, an Athlon 64 X2 6000+, Zalman heatsink and fan, and 500watt coolmax PSU, and GV-N96TZL-512I video card (soon to be running in SLI) |

780GXE/128M
Cons: There was an error on the boot screen from the first time I booted and it's remained. I figured a BIOS update would fix it but can't find one on their site. None of the PCI slots work. Typewriter doesn't work in DOS screen when trying to start in safe mode, etc. Sometimes the bIOS won't let you use it. You can change the date and it resorts back to wrong date. Recently the volume screen for the onboard sound appears in the center of the screen when you first boot and never goes away even if the sound is disabled. I've written to ASrock using their site forms and all I get back is an acknowledgement.
Pros: Easy to install. Lots of times I don't get the little LED, HDD, speaker, wires connected right to the mobo and this was very clear. Comment:
I've had other ASrock boards that worked with no problems so I didn't know how bad their support is if you need it. Others who pay closer attention than me have said they've gone downhill and I'll have to agree. I doubt I'll buy another board from them. |

Poor Sound Quality
Cons: Onboard Realtek audio is horrible. On my previous board i could adjust the Equalizer to where i wanted it. The only option now is to use one of their presets. They all sound Horrible. I am disgusted.
Pros: Good Motherboard, Easy set-up and Os installation went smooth. Comment:

Good bargin, BUT.....
Cons: Read the fine print, when using an AM2 processor the memory is single channel. You must have at least AM2+ and 1066 mem for dual channel. Also the Ethernet port sometimes would not come up on boot, had to remove the cable and plug back in. I changed the wake up on LAN setting to all off, I think that was what fixed it.Also stay completely away from the power save options, it will do strange things if you are defraging HD or any other automated program and it tries to power down.
Pros: Good deal for the $$ BUT READ THE CONS.Even though the video is onboard it still perfoms well because of the side port mem. Lots of options for overclock. All the drivers worked right out of the box. Comment:
Generally it was a good deal. I needed a new computer fast because of lightning strike. WOW that was exciting. YES, I was on the computer when it happened. |

still going strong
Cons: none
Pros: this board is still kicking for me, have had it since early january, am running windows 7 on it and no problems at all what so ever, have built a second machine using this board and have had that for almost 3 months now. overall i am very satisfied with this board and i recommend that u buy it for this amazing price. Comment:
The motherboard does get warm, i fixed this by buying a better case with better fans. dropped the temps right down. |

Good Board
Cons: None.
Pros: Lots of options for OCing. Lots of ports for expansion. I have no complaints with this board. Everything worked out of the box. Comment:
I haven't sat down to OC with my Phenom X4 9750, but it's in my plans in the very near future. |

Great Budget Board
Cons: N/A
Pros: Great budget motherboard. Tons of options in the bios for OC tweaking if this is your thing. Simple setup this motherboard should last me for awhile. Comment:
I have always had good luck with ASRock & ASUS motherboards. For the record this is a spin off of ASUS I was actually told that from an ASRock employee after I emailed & asked them to confirm the rumor. Also got a AMD Phenom II X2 550 B.E. AM3 chip running at 3.8Ghz & is stable. Could go higher but I am not comfortable with a higher v core. The above mentioned chip works great with BIOS v1.50 When installing a Phenom core chip you will have access to the north bridge voltage. This voltage by default is 1.3volts which the manual does not tell you. Hope this info helps someone out. |

Good Board
Cons: Not a huge fan of Realtek gigabit.
Pros: Solid board, good features. Running as a home server with CentOS Linux.Fast, and no setup glitches with an X2 545 Proc and 8gb G.Skill Memory. Comment:
Paired with a Raid card, and a more desirable NIC this makes a nice server board. |

Decent motherboard - minor problems
Cons: There are a few issues: the PCIe 1x nearest to the CPU is blocked by the chipset heatsink, so you cannot put any cards in that are longer than the back of the PCIe slot. This cuts your PCIe ports down to the 2 16x slots left. With a PCIe video card, you now have one left. As other reviewers have said, the eSATA requires the use of one of the internal SATA ports. The BIOS has a lot of options to work with overclocking, but nothing like some of the previous boards I have owned. There is also much missing in the BIOS relating to your Hard Drives. The AMD Raid takes 5-20 seconds to start during boot.
Pros: Overall this is a good motherboard. Well built, AM3 support, 140W support. Comment:

Dead LAN
Cons: The onboard LAN does not work.
Pros: Price is right for a mid level system.Connections are well marked. Comment:
Overall, I can't complain. The setup was easy, and it posted on the first try. My only problem was the onboard LAN didn't work but that really didn't matter to me as I installed a wireless card and connect that way. I have always liked ASUS boards and as I understand it, AsRock is a mid range board subsidiary of ASUS. I will probably stick with ASUS from now on. |

Solid Board -- NO issues with Ubuntu 9.04
Cons: NADA.. ZILCH..
Pros: Beefy board, fit into a REALLY OLD 2 foot high ATX case that had an old P166 board in it originally and all the mounting holes lined up like a glove.. Easy install of all components.. EIDE drive works fine, 640G SATA humming alont great. I put a 5050e 45 watt processor with stock HS/FAN in with the 4 gig 2-2G dual channel GSkill DDR-II memory and a cool running added in Gigabyte HD4350/512M it all runs cool and almost silent. Rock solid sound off onboard, the video with the onboard Radeon 3200 and the added 4350 working in tandem is surperb, though overkill for most things I do, and could really get by with the onboard for what I do 99% of the time, I can work with 3D modelling software under Linux. firewire! ESATA CONNECTION -> NICE!! Comment:
I installed Kubuntu 9.04 on this hardware combo, and it went flawlessly, EXCEPT for a temporary loss of net on the Realtec r8189 driver for the onboard, and also the 8139too driver for another added in older PCI 10/100 NIC that I had added. First it worked and then... But I went to Realtec site, and downloaded new drivers for both and then found that I had to edit the /etc/network/interfaces file to add in reference to both.. SO NOT THE BOARDS FAULT.. but working smooth as glass no on both onboard and add in. This is really a dream machine as the speed is awesome, and solid performance and QUIET.. only using one very quiet 80mm case fan, and still cool as ice. Oh running everything at stock speeds and still virtually instantaneous on all jobs. Came quickly from UPS and no packaging or damage issues.. HAPPY CAMPER HERE. |

Works Great
Cons: -The space between the two graphic card slots is too close to each other, putting in my Radeon 4850 already takes up a decent amount of space, doubt another card could fit for the crossfire. =(-Also No Free Shipping =(
Pros: -Boots incredibly fast.-Worked instantly with Windows 7.-Bios readily available from the Asrock Website, in case you want to be up-to-date.-The Mobo has a pretty design and simple to understand for setup.-eSata available. Comment:

DOA
Cons: Motherboard arrived DOA, I am fairly upset that despite good reviews that this board has had several DOAs according to previous reviews. I gave ASROCK a shot, but I ended up just like the other reviewers that got a DOA. It seems either New Egg has gotten a bad batch or Asrock has no quality control.
Pros: Lots of features Comment:
I decided that I am going to order a higher quality board from another manufacturer. |

noob?
Cons: idk if its me being usta ASUS raid or if its my OS cdi would turn raid on... for all disk, should be just the ports you need raid withi figured the JBOD is to pass things thought the raid controller, still weirdi had 2 80 gig's that where in raid 0 on my last setup.boot to the vista disk ( its a corp disk, which is i think the issue )hdd screen i pick the driver ( from the cd, from a floppy copy, from a jumper, i even redownloaded and tried that copy of the driver )EVERY TIME, says no driver foundi say "B... GOOD SIR!"again might be my disk, so im not mad at the mobo, buuuutttt, the raid setup is goofie, should be turn raid on the ports you need raid on.
Pros: works, cheap, fastwith the CPU, GPU, RAM, it is a darn fast gaming comptuer Comment:
i bought this mobo for a video editing setup, i wanted raid for the disk performance : / odd huh, the one thing i bought it for it cant do with my setup.when i get my hands on a "genuine" copy ill try raid again. might change, but i dough it. |
