A decent little matx board. Used to setup a low power consumption Virtual Server using XenServer. Setup with an energy efficient quad core, 4x2gb ram sticks and using onboard video, the machine doesn't use very much power.This budget board would likely fit most tasks except for hardcore gamer builds.I would definitely buy again if I was looking at another AMD budget build for server purposes, but otherwise I might get a different feature set without onboard video. |

Love Asus motherboards - have some extra DDR2 lying around and wanted a cheap 6-core build. This fit the requirements and has been a snap to build. Will probably marry this into a Nzxt Vulcan chassis for a portable powerhouse for LANs. Only one of 2 motherboards that I could find that used the 785G chipset, had 4 DIMM sockets for DDR2 - and this one had the better placement for the SATA sockets; so none would be blocked with a double slot video card. |

Can't figure out how to overclock manually, wish instructions are better for newbies for overclocking. it does have a setting to overclock by up to 10%, so that makes it easy. But no option to go higher.
Pros: so far so good. I bought it for the express boot-up into the asus browser. Most days I just browse the web and email, so I only use the asus onboard browser and don't even go into windows. It's great. love the feature. Don't need windows. love it love it love it. Comment:
It's a good board, wish there was another PCIe, but it does what it's supposed to do and enough ports and function for my current need. Probably would have gotten a higher end board if I finally figure out what the differences are. |

I have a rear mounted power supply and the ATX12V plug in is at the top of the case so its quite a reach but my cable was just long enough with out any tension.Only one PCI-e slot so people would have to hold off on the crossfire.

I'm very pleased with this board. I would have been even more pleased if it had been able to unlock the other two cores on my X2 555BE processor, but the Gigabyte board I also have couldn't do it either. It has all the features you could want on an economic product. I highly recommend. |

No floppy

Only been using it for a couple of hours. All is fine. I may have opted for something different, if I realized it didn't have a floppy port. The rest is super. The AMD cool and quiet software is a bit of a pain, I see no way to turn off the system tray icon. Let's face it, it's not that important once you've finished the settings. |

I just would like to say that this board is a great value, but you'll have to buy your own CPU fan or take it off an old computer, I failed to read all the way into it. I will also add that when trying to do a fresh hook up and install I found after a long 2 weeks or trial and error that the primary DIMM slots (BLUE) did not work right, I had almost every error message you could get, that's why it was so hard to find the problem. In the end I decided to keep the board because the Black DIMM slots worked with no problem and I did not want to go through the hassle of taking everything apart again. In the end I would buy this board again. |

Bought this to upgrade my HP a1630n. Easy to install and Windows 7 recognized and installed all drivers right away. Older CPU fan has 3 pin and this mobo has 4 which means fan stays on all the time, had to replace that. System panel connector is different configuration (older 9 pin to newer 20 pin). Basically took it apart and manually hooked up to each pin. Mobo has book with chart, so was pretty straight forward. Wish it came with Q connector. Hybrid CrossfireX technology will not work with most newer HD video cards, mine is ATI HD4830, read compatibility from their website before considering any crossfire. Adapted easily to all my older CPU and Ram. HD Capture Card and Video card work great. Good cheap mobo for upgrading CPU and RAM. If you're looking for some strong gaming features you should buy something better. |

I see others commenting on the ''lack'' of features , but I paid a Toyota price for a Cadillac-I'm not gonna gripe because it isn't a Rolls. :) It lets me OC , it puts me online in stupid-fast time by bypassing the OS , and seems to work great with Windows 7 64 bit. I'm calling it a win. Add TD's customer service , and it's a BIG win. |

Decent mobo
Comment:
The mobo comes with a GPU overclocking program but I didn't really use it. The TurboKey is a real joke as you don't have access to anything but their built in profiles (all they do is jack up the FSB by like 10%). Use the bios to OC. The HD4200 is good for watching videos and general computer use(I would upgrade to a discrete card for a HTPC). HD4200 will not score well in benchmarks and will not be good for gaming. I upgraded to a HD 5770. There is only one PCI-e slot which is sort of frustrating. Make good use of it! Only one mobo case fan connection. Bright side, great price. Decent bios OCing features. It uses DDR2 ram(cheaper). It is micro!! Works great in my mini tower case. I love the option for a custom start up screen. |

Overall a very nice board, i have built over 100 towers and I am a long-term fan. However, I tried pairing this board with the PC2 8500 2x2GB RAMs OCZ2P10664GK which is on the approved list. They are not compatible with 2 sticks, only 1 at a time. Even after flashing the BIOS I could get nothing with 2 sticks until switching RAM manufacturers. |

Got this for a budget gaming rig. It has core unlocker so people can test their luck and hopefully they get an extra core or 2. Its a very budget mobo and have basically everything you need. Though since its mATX, a double slot graphics, one pci card, and one more pcie x1 card and thats all you can put on it.
