I like it!
Cons: None
Pros: I really do enjoy this motherboard. It was easy to setup none the less although the motherboard plate did give me some problems but I won't take away any eggs because of that. I simply went with a E6300 Duel Core, Zotac GeForce 9800GT 512mb, 2gb Kingston 1066mhz ram, 430 Watt Thermaltake Power Supply, and everything's going great. I can easily do the 20% auto-overclock without any problems don't know what peoples problem with not being able to get 5% auto-overclock. For my needs this motherboard is perfect, it's a cheap motherboard so if your expecting the best why are you not spending more money? 11700 3DMarks when overclocked 20% with a lot of upgrade room. ASUS P5G43T-M Pro mATX LGA775 G43 DDR3 1PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 2PCI HDMI Video Sound GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:- No Floppy connector.- Video problems on the board I received while using onboard video.
Pros:- ICH10 southbridge- HDMI, DVI & VGA- PCI-E x1- 6 Sata ports Comment:
The pros I listed are just a bunch of specs but the combination of those features is the reason I purchased this G43 board over others. The ICH10 southbridge is supported by the new Intel RST AHCI/Raid drivers, which will replace the Intel MSM drivers, and will hopefully eventually support TRIM. If you don't need TRIM in the future or trust in the microsoft AHCI/Raid drivers look into the Asus P5QPL-VM EPU with the G41 chipset. It's essentially the identical board with ICH7 and 4 Sata ports instead of 6. (I own both boards)The board I received works except the video is intermittent and artifacts appear when running any 3d game or application. Sent the board back to NCIX for RMA but was notified of bent cpu socket pins, Asus would charge $90 for warranty which was more than I paid for the board. This is Asus's crap policy and not the fault of NCIX. NCIX did a great job explaining the situation and trying to assist me.I am taking off 2 stars because of Asus' motherboard warranty policy. |

Good board for the price
Cons: -1 Egg for making the PCIe x1 slot PCIe 1 and not PCIe 2 like the x16 slot -- this would allow for a 500MB\sec card instead of a 250MB\sec card -- there are some new 6GB SATA and SAS x1 2.0 RAID controllers I would have like to put in there, but now I will use my existing HighPoint PCIe1 x1 Card and be stuck at 250MB\sec for IO..Not a big deal though, more than enough bandwidth to act as a fileserver and media server. Also I would have liked to have onboard FireWire for my front panel connector. Since the video card blocks the first PCI slot, I don't have any open slots for a firewire card. Also I don't like the onboard video, -1 again. -- it just seems like a waste. You know people would rather spend an extra 100$ and get a semi-decent card with an NVidia or ATI chip on it that can do 3d games and has 1080p codec acceleration than some low specd intel chip -- thats what the PCIe 2.0 x16 slot is for. Get rid of the onboard video and give us RAID or firewire or something useful
Pros: uATX, supports 45nm CPUs and DDR3.Optical audio output Comment:

Sometimes the board wont show an image on the monitor
Cons: This board randomly decides it wont send a signal to the monitor. I thought it was just the monitor but I have tried it on 2 other boards and they work perfectly. So i tried different monitors on this board and they wont show an image! I expected more from ASUS! Pretty disappointed about this. This build was for my mother for Christmas! Not even 2 months old!

Great Motherboard
Cons: None.
Pros: Very easy-to-navigate BIOS, encountered no problems during setup of my new machine (see other thoughts). Comment:
I used this motherboard with a Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB of DDR3 1333 RAM, a 1 TB SATA 3.0 HDD, a GeForce 9600 GT video card and some generic 802.11b PCI card. It's performed beautifully. |

Eggcelant!
Cons: None!
Pros: Great buy for the money. Usually never went with Micro ATX but i tried it for the first time and loved it. Everything fits snug and totally loving it! The Geforce 220 I bought fit just right on the board with no problems. Not to mention built in HDMI. Comment:
Could use more USB slots but i can live! |

Working good
Cons: None.
Pros: Quick shipping on Neweggs part, awesome. I don't mess with the BIOS and things like that. It was easy to install and loaded right up. Would buy again. Comment:

ASUS P5G43T-M Pro mATX LGA775 G43 DDR3 1PCI-E16 1PCI-E1 2PCI HDMI Video Sound GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:- Slow bootup because RAID drive detection is on by default in BIOS- No frills; only 2 RAM slots- no Firewire
Pros:- The least expensive mATX DDR3 Core 2 Duo board that's half-decent- Still has overclocking options in BIOS- One SATA cable has a 90-degree plug which is handy in crowded builds Comment:
I paired this motherboard with a Core 2 Duo E6300 and a Sparkle 350W PSU with no problems. The motherboard appears to be stable and reasonably well appointed. The G43 chipset is a great choice for budget builds for non-gamers, but still retains some HD video acceleration. |

Simple installation
Cons: If I had to do it over, a slightly faster combination might have been selected.
Pros: This mother board came up on the first try. It was to be used in a multi OS test box and it offered no difficulty in configuring all the required installations. No special configuration was required, it was run in effectively the factory default. Comment:

It's not a "basic" board.
Cons: Nothing
Pros: Everything Comment:
The board is hardly "basic" or "average". It's very powerful, and a majority of the reviews I've read thus far are obviously written by inexperienced builders. I highly recommend this board to anyone. |

DDR3 775 socket motherboard
Cons: The BIOS is not what I'm used to with Gigabyte. I don't care for AMI BIOS....that said, it does the job and after you figure it out....it works.
Pros: DDR3 memory supportIt's a good 775 motherboard for a medium duty computer or HTPC. The onboard graphics could be better, but I have found it to be fine. No problem. Comment:
I always buy Gigabyte and this will probably be the last Asus I buy for a while, but don't let that stop you. It's a fine board. Don't plan to start overclocking or anything like that. It's not good for that...(although it can be done) It's good for the casual user. I would recommend it. |

Great Board
Cons: None
Pros: Great Board. It does everything you need it to for a basic computer. Comment:
Cheap DDR3 board but pointless unless you go with a equivalent FSB CPU. |

Good MOBO w/ Advanced Problems
Cons: My one MAJOR complaint for this board is that it will NOT overclock. The maximum FSB of this motherboard is 350 mhz. I tried every trick in the book to overclock this motherboard and it won’t post over 350 mhz. It sucks because that is a mere 5% overclock on my system, when I know the rest of my components can handle a 20 to 25% overclock easy. I guess uATX builds are difficult to get good overclocks. My mistake I guess, but with DDR3 support at 1333 I assumed this mobo would be handle little more then what I got.
Pros: This motherboard is a great uATX board. The DDR3 and C2Q support works wonderfully together. I had no problems with the initial build, everything posted first boot. I really like the IDE support. It made it convenient to hook up old HDD for extra storage. The PCI-e 2.0 slot is really good as well, installed a nvidia 9800 gt and that works seemlessly. Comment:
Overall, this board is great for a uATX build, with perks like IDE and DDR3 that gives it a mix of old technology with some of the new. I’m a little disappointed that the board won’t overclock at all, but it still yielded a very fast system that I still really enjoy. 4/5 eggsBuild Components:Intel C2Q q9550Asus p5g43t-m Pro MOBOPNY XLR8 9800 GT 1 GBSeagate 80 gb (sata), 1000 gb (sata) HDD2 Maxtor 320 gb (ide) HDD Antec mini p180 caseZalman 9700nt heatsinkG-Skills DDR3-1333Antec BP550 Plus power supply |

Refuses to overclock
Cons: I bought this board along with an E8400 CPU to build a budget gaming PC. Asus is normally great for overclocking as I had no issues with my previous budget board, but no amount of tweaking BIOS settings would allow me a setting higher than the FSB 5% auto-overclock. Adjusting core voltages did nothing to fix the issue, and any attempt to manually set up the FSB resulted in no post and a reset to stock values. I bought an E8400 specifically for its great overclocking ability, so suffice it to say I'm extremely disappointed with this board.
Pros: Cheap and easy to set up. Comment:
Fine if you have no intentions of ever going above stock values, terrible otherwise. |

Memory Issues
Cons: None yet.
Pros: Cheap, DDR3, 6 SATA, On-board Video Comment:
I haven't received this board yet, but I see some people are having issues with memory clock speed. The manual says that memory meant to be overclocked may list at a slower speed than advertised, meaning it needs to be overclocked. |

Great board, great price
Cons: No USB 3.0, but then again barely any other motherboard has it either. I really wish the board had eSata and Firewire ports, but for the price I can't really complain.
Pros: Wow - I couldn't believe a motherboard this small could be packed with so many features. It was a breeze to install and configure and all my components worked without a hitch. I used this board to build a budget gaming system, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a HTPC setup. Comment:

DDR3-800, what??
Cons: - RAM which was listed on the support list (F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK) does not run at advertised speeds on this board. It doesn't even show the DRAM Frequency menu options it should (800, 1066, 1333)! It only shows 800! I'm not sure if I received a defective set of RAM or the board is having issues... I'll update this later when I get the replacement RAM.
Pros: - Everything runs as it should, except the RAM. See cons. Comment:
A board that's advertised to run RAM at 1333MHz should run RAM at 1333MHz... |

Diluted Motherboard
Cons: - BIOS is terrible- 2 fan connections- impossible to overclock- Only 2 RAM Slots
Pros: - Cheap- Integrated Graphics- Small Form Factor Comment:
My q9400 refuses to overclock even slightly. If I raise the clock rate by 10mHz (to 343mHz, the computer doesn't post. The quick overclock settings all fail (including 5%. I guess you get what you pay for...which in this case is complete junk. The product is hidden on ASUS's website...and I have a feeling the BIOS posted on the website is older than what was provided with the board (I no longer have the option to control SpeedStep after flash), but ASUS claims only one BIOS release.I generally have used Gigabyte boards in the past (expensive and cheap boards), but thought to give ASUS a chance and regret it. Clearly, they do not put the same level of effort into their high end and bargain boards. |

Final Review
Cons: There are some cons here...First I had bough GSKILL RIPJAW 1333 MHZ Ram for this board. Would not work at 1333 MHZ was running at 996 MHZ? Next I RMA'ed this ram for a loss of $20 and I bought the GSKILL ram from the supported list. This ram also did not function at 1333MHZ but it ran at 996 MHZ. This confused me a little because I though supported ram from the supported ram list would work but I guess not. Another review posted that his Corsair ram worked so I would buy that if you decide to go with this board. Also sometimes when this board restars I will have it overclocked and it will say overclocking failed...but this only happens when I restart. If I start up regularly this never happens. Minor annoyance though.
Pros: Onboard Video - HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA A+Supports DDR3 Memory - FutureproofWide support for many new processorsGreat price and good for a budget build6 SATA Ports and comes with good black SATA cables6 USB Ports good I have webcam, mouse, keyboard, and printer. + USB HeadersNice looking board with good heatsinks you can touch heatsinks and they are cool.PCI Express 2.0 - Most Intel Micro ATX budget boards do not have these and this makes it a decent pick for a low cost gaming computer. Pros: Great features for the price. PCI Express 2.0, DDR3 1300, Core2 Quad support. ASUS... They make the best boards on the planet. Bought for a budget build for the in-laws. After a week of burn-in, it's running rock solid. Haven't come across a single little blip of an issue. Comment:

Cons: Board feels a liitle thin. Not really a BiG deal but: Rear case fan connecter on the top right of board(?) / legacy connecters: Serail port(?) / BIOS has LPT1 port setting but board has no such port (?)
Pros: Price / ICH10 /Intel G chipset / Win 7 64-bit support Comment:
Not a big fan of ASUS, but I'd really like to give it a 4.5 (if I could). Loaded Win 7 Pro 64 - Bit / 4 GIG RAM / with AHCI HDD settings - runs Smooth, Fast, & Reliable. Honestly for the price, it's a good buy. |
