I love ASUS!
Cons: SATA ports on the side of board instead of straight down was dumb. Plug in all your SATA cords before installing Video cards. Tight space in a mid ATX case.
Pros: Good solid board. Decent layout. Wide support of CPU and RAM. MORE than enough SATA's. Comment:

New build
Cons: Kind of hard to get to some of the sata connectors.
Pros: I bought a I7 920, CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 TR3X6G1600C9 and a intel ssd to run the os. The installation was flawless. Windows 7 loads in about 30 seconds, just awesome. The xmp profile read the ram at 1600. I recently overclocked to 3.2 and running 24/7 stable. The mobo gets up to 40 C and the chip can reach the mid 60s under stress. I have a zalman 9700. and a zalman northbridge cooler I reseated both zalmans with as 5 and the temps stayed the same. I might get a better cpu cooler before I try higher overclocks. I have been running bad company 2 and the game runs great now. My previous platform (This is a upgrade from a e6600, asus p5b and ddr2 800) had issues with the same video card. The FPS didn't get above 30 even on low. Now I see fps in the 100s. PCmark 06 went from 11,000 to 19,000 with this upgrade using the msi n285 gtx and a corsair 650 ps. Comment:

Buyer beware
Cons: Fact i had to RMA.
Pros: This mother board was decent for the time i had it. I was continuously getting Bsod's which referred to memory. After going through 3 sets of memory i determined that the slots had to be bad. RMA'd. Comment:
Ive been building computers for going on as long as i can remember. Have used newegg as the source of this as well. Up till this RMA i would recommend them. There process for starters was extremely slow. Status sat at received for over a week. After this i got frustrated and contacted them. Get through there generic script of questions and they return with sorry sir there are bent pins on the mother board. Funny thing is im kinda sketchy of people as is so i took pictures of everything when i got it and took more before i shipped it. Cant wait to see the condition i get it back in. In fewer words there customer service is no longer a option they just want you to deal directly with the manufacture. |

ASUS P6T X58 ATX LGA1366 DDR3 LGA1366 3PCI-E16 PCI-E1 2PCI CrossFire SLI SATA2 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons: It's big. I have a big case though. CCC only gives 10Mhz overclocking on the core and memory. You'll have to use MSI Aftrburner to get more.
Pros: Only have one of these right now, looking to get a second one. Not that I need it, as it runs every single game I have, maxed out, without a skip. The single card gives a 7.5 Windows 7 experience rating without any overclocking Comment:
Will report back if it fails. |

Was going to go with the Rampage II, but none available.
Cons: The SATA ports are in a horribly poor position for anyone who would want to push the motherboard in the first place. My HD5870 covers all 6 of the ports, so I had to make sure everything was plugged in ahead of time when putting the computer back together. Not too big a deal, though I'd knock off half an egg for this if I could. The only other gripe is one I find with most of the x58 boards and that is with the DIMM slots being too close to the CPU to where overlapping heatsinks either do not allow a DIMM with a built-on heatsink to fit in or it will fry the DIMM from the heatsink heat. I wish the RAMPAGE II had still been available on here when I purchased this, I had been willing to spend the extra money on a better board. All and all these aren't too big of gripes because it is stable and the overclocking is fantastic.
Pros: The board is great for overclocking your i7 chips. I bought a budget board (which worked perfectly fine for normal use), but it had no real overclocking ability. So I purchased this board and have had no issues. Keeps my i7 stable and cool. Comment:

Works great
Cons: Bios and overclocking functions are a bit confusing after coming from a c2q setup but a couple Google searches later and I am up and running.
Pros: Works great, stable. Paired with an i7 920 @ 3.8ghz. The last boards I have bought were either Abit or Asus and I have yet to have a problem with any of them. I will not trust expensive hardware with a cheap budget board. Comment:

Excellent Board!
Cons: The ASUS software CD that shipped was not compatible with Win7x64, so I had to go to the ASUS site and download the items I wanted (ASUS Update, TurboV, ExpressGate, PC Probe, etc.).I have found that the BIOS has offered the most stable overclocking. When I manipulate the timings in the Windows environment via TurboV, the system is very unstable and crashes with minimal upward speeds. As I said above, overclocking in the BIOS is so easy and I have found to be very stable with air cooling.
Pros: I have had absolutely no issues with this board during my first four months of use. The BIOS is very intuitive and allows for very simple overclocking, as I am running my Core i7 920 at 3.7GHz with air cooling. In the BIOS I had to only change four settings to get this result--BCLK, Turbo Mode OFF, Board has ample space for everything I am using--I have it in a Midtower Lian-Li. Placement and direction of the SATA ports are great as I can use #1-4 with no problem, even though I have a 9800GTX+ in the PCI-E slot Comment:
ExpressGate is a great feature if all you need to do is quickly check something on the internet, look at photos, etc.. You do not need to wait for the OS to load, so you are working in less than 20 seconds.ASUS P6T Deluxe V26GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600Core i7 920 @ 3.7GHzArctic Cooling Freezer7 Pro Rev 2860W PC Power & Cooling PSUBFG 9800GTX+300GB VelociRaptor74GB Raptor500GB WD MyBook Studio -- avoid this one if possible--recognition issues |

The best of the best
Cons: The only con i have seen is that when you use a large heatsink and i mean large like the Ultra chill-tek the memory dimm nearest to the cpu can over heat because it sets under the heat sink. I went from 12 gb to 10 gb however I cannot guarantee it wasnt a bad dimm either. so i still give it 5 eggs.
Pros: One of the best mobos i have ever seen so many things packed in to one. Solid and reliable as always with ASUS products. Comment:

Excellent!
Cons: No complaints here!
Pros: Great motherboard! Worked like a charm after install. Comes with a slew of overclocking software. Havn't messed too much with overclocking since that is an area that I have not really got into as of yet. Loved having the power/reset buttons right on the motherboard. This should become a standard for motherboards! Comment:
This is the first time that I have used an ASUS product. If this is any indication of what all their products are like, then I'm a fan for life! |

Quality Motherboard
Cons: None so far
Pros: It was my first time building a computer but I found this motherboard to be an excellent start to the experience. The instructions are well written, laid out conveniently, and very helpful. Plenty of diagrams and the motherboard itself is also labeled and laid out beautifully. This board is made very friendly for overclockers and leaves plenty of room for upgrades, I'm very pleased with it. Comment:

Terrible! I'm one of the unlucky ones! Bad DiMM
Cons: Board has a bad DIMM SLOT (A1). Wouldn't boot on it or memory wouldn't be recognized from it. ASUS tech support is not the best either. After looking at other reviews, i find it very common to have memory issues. Seems like a 70% work of box rate (kinda like buying a xbox 360) haha!
Pros: Board is great! Has some eye candy features! Great oc' abilties and express gate is cool! I have owned a p6t se before. This is my 5th build and going with a p6t deluxe that only was to fail me. Comment:
ASUS TECH SUPPORT WAS THE WORST PART of the ordeal! The only reason I’m writing this review is because of the phone support. I called them the day I purchased the board. Explaining my problem, etc etc. The support tech guy not only belittled me but gave me no help watsoever. He told me you have a bad DIMM and didn't try to walk me through any troubleshooting methods. I asked him is this common with this board" He replies "NO, its not common or a KNOWN ISSUE at all". I felt like he didn't care about my problem or care about his job. It could have been a bad employee but i felt intimidated talking to him. He also seemed to want to end the conversation fast and didn’t give a appropriate "thank you" or watever in the end. I hope ASUS will listen to consumers... |

ASUS P6T X58 ATX LGA1366 DDR3 LGA1366 3PCI-E16 PCI-E1 2PCI CrossFire SLI SATA2 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:not good for crossfire
Pros:relatively cheapsolid board Comment:
overall the build and quality of the motherboard is solid. Asus epu6 engine is a great little tool but I find that it doesn't set the right speeds for medium and max power savings. Why they bothered with a -50% adjustment when the most it will decrease speed is to 1425mhz is confusing. the increments don't make sense in my opinion, but still the gui is better than others i've used. Don't try to crossfire on this board unless you wanna use the 4x slot...which wouldn't make sense in the first place. The slots are way too close to allow good airflow. I would give 3.5 stars |

its like a girlfriend
Cons: Cold boot issue: my board does not detect all 3 ram sticks upon the first cold boot, i.e. when i come home from work. But if it shut it down (not restart) and then turn it on again it will detect all the RAM. It took me 3 weeks of trying every possible timing and voltage until i stumbled upon this fix. Very frustrating.
Pros: First off, this board is a beast. I have an SLI setup and my i7 920 overclocks to 3.4ghz with little effort. No complaints about the features or performance. Comment:
Its like a girlfriend: awesome when you figure out what makes her tick just right. |

Go with ASUS
Cons: -None
Pros: -Lots of features-Amazing performance-Super easy and stable OC platform-Reset and On/Off button on Mobo-Great design Comment:
I've been using ASUS motherboards for a few years now and I can't think of a reason not to continue using their products. I've heard about users complaining about quality and the QC at ASUS. I have a friend who works at ASUS, but I've had nothing but the absolute best experience with their products. I can say with confidence that my ASUS P6T beats out my friend's Gigabyte X58A-UDR3 with ease. If you are a previous ASUS mobo owner considering the jump to the X58 or P55 platform, go with ASUS. If you are a ECS/ASRock/Other Value mobo user, get the ASUS, it has the performance/reliability/quality/customer service that the other companies just cannot match. I love my new setup. |

Don't buy if using Locked CPU
Cons: If you are using a CPU with a locked multiplier, i.e. anything that is not Extreme Edition Black box, the memory settings can only be DDR3-800 or DDR3-1066. This is stated in the BIOS. So my purchase of DDR3-1866 memory is now running at DDR3-1066 until I get a new CPU. If you try running a locked CPU at any other timings BSOD BSOD BSOD
