ASUS P8Z77-V Pro LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 SLI 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI SATA3 DisplayPort USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Graphics card slot came off when removing card to replace drive cable located underneath!

Pros:Great board and easy to install. Installation guide very detailed.
Comment:
Unfortunately, I had less than a full day of use since I ran into an unexpected "problem". Once the system was all back together - new mobo, chip, big fan and ram, etc. - I noticed I no longer had access to five of my drive letters (E, F, H, I and J). One of the drive cables did not appear to be seated properly in the board. Access was difficult due to the length of my graphics card, so the card had to be removed. I disconnected the monitor cable, the retaining screw and I made sure I had depressed the small plastic locking mechanism at the back of the slot. However, when I pulled up on the card to remove it, the whole plastic (blue) slot stayed on the card thereby leaving what looked like two parallel fine-toothed combs! Impossible to re-install obviously. I honestly believe it to be a manufacturing defect as I've never had a problem with any ASUS products before.

Pros:-Fan control software (Fan Xpert 2)-Aesthetics-Has all screw holes for an ATX motherboard (some motherboards skimp on this for the right edge of the board)-Wi-Fi works perfectly-Well designed BIOS interface
Comment:
The board performs well as expected. It has 6 PWM fan headers (including 2 CPU fan headers). Fan Xpert 2 works very well and can even control 3-pin fans connected to the 4 non-CPU fan headers. Have not tried overclocking yet. This review was modfied by poster @ 05-01-13 01:59 PM

ASUS P8Z77-V Pro LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 SLI 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI SATA3 DisplayPort USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:- Overclock not as good as my old Gigabyte P67A- Misses some USB ports natively- COuld include 4 SATA6 cable (4 ports...)

Pros:- Good features- PCI port usable with SLI- 21st century BIOS- Good general quality feel
Comment:
Great board overall. Updated to the last BIOS 1908 right off the start.Got enough SATA6 ports for SSD.One of the few Z77 that you can use a old PCI card with SLI setupI really like the ASUS Bios. Coming from Gigabyte P67A-DS4, it'S great.Good quality overall. Very impressed by this card but no the best value on the market.I bought this board because my old P67 mobo died, and it had 4 SATA6, enough USB 3.0 ports, and usable PCI port with SLI setup.I would have gone Gigabyte again if these specs were met

Cons:Ugly included SLI bridgePrice premium vs lower tier family

Pros:StabilityBuild qualityIncluded WiFi CardUEFI BIOS
Comment:
Aside from the rather ugly included SLI bridge, this motherboard has many great features for overclocking and a great UEFI BIOS; there are a good number of fan headers too if you need them. The related ASUS utilities are also rather nice too, e.g. Fan Xpert 2. It also has an included WiFi card that is rather decent.

Cons:Only complaint is following install instructions they don't tell you to put the wifi-go in until later in the installation. This will require the removal of your board from the case just a heads up.

Pros:Setup was a breezeeasy to locate important buttons and LED's location of plugins makes it easy to minimize cable cluttergreat/easy bios

Cons:Asus Bios Updating software is SLOW when accesing asus's website.Erroronious motherboard readings (-61°C and 127°C readings occasionally)Automatic Overclocking "works" BUT is done in such a way that it generates a LOT of heat.

Pros:Amazing OC FeaturesExcellent VRM setupFan Xpert is awesome!Well laid out Fan PortsTonnes of USB3.0 ports!Wireless Card on mobo
Comment:
This is overall a very good board however for it being one of their higher end flavours for the Z77 this board should perform flawlessly. After using the board for 2 weeks and exploring its features extensivly, i've found that overall its very stable and very configurable when know what to do in BIOS settings. For the not so knowledgeable user this board can actually be a bit dangerous with their automatic overclocking capabilities. It sets the Bclck above normal and sets the voltage levels overly aggressivly in order to obtain a stable overclock. THis means excessive heat. I've been able to manage a very stable overclock, higher than the auto feature using lower voltages resulting in much less heat. The Asus software that comes with the board is overall excellent, i'm not a big fan of the GUI but it does the job. The Monitoring and configurable software available on it is a really nice plus however the temperature sensor readouts appear to report bad values from time to time. A full restart seems to fix it but this is not acceptable for a higher end board like this.

Cons:Some ram sticks in the first ram slot my have clearance issues with a BIG HSF such as the 212 EVO

Pros:Many featuresLayout (for the most part) is greatPrice in a bundle is goodWiFi Go
Comment:
Upgraded from an AMD system with a 790 FX chipset. Biggest difference for me would be the overclockability and going from sata 3.0 to sata 6.0. You can really notice it.I paid a little extra just for the WiFi Go feature. Even on an Ipod touch (small screen) this works great. The added benefit of extra power phases over the other boards I was looking at was a nice bonus also.In a Chip + board bundle it is a good value.I could not use the ram slot closest to the HSF (212 Evo) as there was little clearance. raising the fan could possibly resolve this. But as I only run two sticks I just relocated my ram in different slots.I was worried I would not notice much of an improvement over my 790fx + Phenom 955 system. I was wrong. Even at stock speeds this games much better, add in the faster SSD speeds I get now and this was worth it.

Simple to install. Good quality. No problem at all. Compatible with components even not in recommendation list. All drivers and software included in an easy to use CD.Plus, ASUS actually has android apps for it's mobo. You can remote control it from a tablet or smart phone. What a surprise ! I am really happy with . I am biginner with PC and I was able to OC my 3770k easy wiht it and have it stable without going into the BIOS.Wifigo: I had a computer build from NCIX and i odered a Wireless card...this is rly bad...i had constant 300 kb/s. instead of my Imac with 26 mb/s. So i decide to desactivate it and use the MOBO wifi-go. I get the same as my IMAC so im happy of my MOBO and not happy about the card!:PEdit: I would have personally upgrade te the Tunderbolt option, since im a Mac user i get to use it a lot now. I couldn't have picked a better board to pair with my i5-3570k, the overclocking options are through the roof and the number of ports and add-ons are excellent! The ONLY downside is the lack of a firewire port or firewire jumpers to attach an extension to.I haven't overclocked yet but I expect to get a good boost in GHz with this beast. It looks great too!

Cons:Hard to tell which SATA port is which, no firewire port, not enough USB ports on the back panel

Pros:Awesome value, plenty of fan headers, EFI bios is great, good layout for wire management.
Comment:
Got this board with a I7 3770K CPU to replace an old 775 board. I didn't even have to re-install windows 7, the computer booted up with the old install and all I had to do was upgrade the motherboard drivers. Lots of fan headers, good layout for people with older PCI sound cards and for wire management. I just wish the manual was a little more specific about a lot of the functions of this board (the manual list the functions but doesn't say what each function does).

ASUS P8Z77-V Pro LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 SLI 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI SATA3 DisplayPort USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:Overclock require a bit more voltageWifi is somewhat slowUSB 3.0 header need to be redesign, come apart with little effort

Pros:Nice board layout
Comment:
The board layout is okay to work with. Wouldn't mind if there is one or two more three/four pin fan headers. If planning to use the wifi module. Be sure to install the wifi module, screw the one screw in from the bottom of the board, before screw down the board into the case. The included USB 3.0 header on the board and the adapter, male, female, could really need to be redesign. They header on the board look very weak, couldn't hole the female header in place. Very easy to come apart due to the thick wire, unless willing to crazy glue it down.Overclocking on these new board requires little effort. Use OC Tuner instead, let the board figure it out. A typical unlock I7 3770k running at 4.4Ghz need a little over 1.35v with OC Tuner. One or two system reboots and done.Booting into Windows with the Mushkin Chrono Deluxe 240Gb is fairly fast. No Intel Rapid Storage Technology enable.Satisfied with the results. Might try a Gigabyte board in the future.
