ASUS Sabertooth Z77 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 SLI 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 SATA3 HDMI DisplayPort USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:35mm Fan on the center of the boardThis center assist fan cannot be swapped out for a 40mm fanRear assistant fan buzzing

Pros:Looks solidEasy to navigate BIOSVirtu MVPOption to swap rear assistant fan to a 40mm fan
Comment:
I would have given this a 5 star review if the fans they sent were better quality, or at least a more standard size so I could replace them with something better.I appreciate the fact the rear assist fan can be swapped for a 40mm fan which opens up a lot of options, but the other center mounted assist fan is locked in to 35mm which is hard to replace (if anyone can find a decent 35mm fan contact me.Although the assistant fans supplied seem to be of decent quality, the rear assistant fan is buzzing, and I will need to replace it.For most people this should not be a problem, but I wanted this build to be as quiet as possible by buying Noctua fans to go with it. The fact that a small rear assistant fan is louder than the rest of the fans I bought is a bit of a let down.

ASUS Sabertooth Z77 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 SLI 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 SATA3 HDMI DisplayPort USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:None

Pros:Looks great, 5 year warranty, plenty of fan connectors
Comment:
This product is pretty much the best motherboard i had in a loooong time. The "armor" is great for dust filtering and seems to dissipate heat easily. The fact that this board comes with a 5 year warranty tells me how DURABLE and how high of a quality of product ASUS assumes this is (and they're right) I would buy again anything for a new PC.

Cons:I am not a fan of the colour scheme, but it's not too noticeable once everything is installed. The included fans for the TUF Armour have a high pitched whine and can be annoying.

Pros:The TUF Armour gives the build an very clean look.
Comment:
All in all, this board is excellent with a few minor drawbacks. Apart from colour preference and the annoying fans, this is a solid buy.

Pros:- Makes your PC look slick and clean.- Low temps.- Great performance and Durability.

Bought this motherboard when it first came out. I was an owner of a previous Sabertooth motherboard I was amazed by it's durability and performance. The pricing for the Z77 is bang on as well, perfect for both enthusiast and casual PC builders.

Cons:USB3 plug won't fit on a Corsair Carbide 500r case!!! So watch out.

Pros:Cool motherboard, don't really see the difference with the thermal armor, but it's worth the luxury!
Comment:
Got it for $219.99 with free shipping for the entire order, so couldn't bargain more haha. Cool motherboard, runs well and simple to OC my 3570k eventhough it runs a bit hot.

Comment:
Wicked board! Super fast, easy to overclock (especially if you have an unlocked processor) and the dust cover system is amazing. Also the higher quality capacitors and high-reliability soldering added to the board to meet the Mil-Specs and the 5 year warranty will keep this board running till its too old to be any use!

Great mother board, dust covers are a nice touch aswell. Only problem was on getting readings of 127c on my motherboard on thermal armor, most likely due to faulty sensors.

ASUS Sabertooth Z77 ATX LGA1155 DDR3 SLI 3PCI-E16 4PCI-E1 SATA3 HDMI DisplayPort USB3.0 Motherboard
Cons:- First board was RMA within 2 weeks of Purchase.- Second board works flawlessly.- Wish it had additional features as the P8V board.

Pros:- Looks awesome!- Amazing power delivery for extreme overclocking potential. Very stable voltages.- Awesome features, though the Turbo EVO doesn't have the level up capability which would have been a great reference point for an intial peak OC.- Thermal Radar is fantastic to have.

I've been a loyal Asus customer for over 12 years now. Lately, I've been having some bad experiences with their products failing. The Sabertooth series has always been reliable and does stand strong to what it promises to deliever. I would recommend this board or the P8V for Ivy Bridge chips. It is rare for these boards to be DOA, I blame my luck though. On a side note, I exercise caution when making exchanges with NCIX on Motherboards. I had a bad experience with the technician in store which is making me reconsider future purchases.

Cons:Thermal armour can be difficult to work around in a cramped case. For many hardware configurations the "optional" 40mm fans will not be optional. Passive cooling is questionable with the thermal armor for a more demanding system.

Pros:Good value.Great features.Good performance.Excellent quality.Clean appearance though I'll concede that this doesn't matter to everyone.
Comment:
It has everything that I was looking for in a motherboard at a price point that I felt did not break the bank. After reviewing the motherboards available for my new system I believe that this one had the most robust set of features. The BIOS is very accessible and pretty intuitive, allowing for complete individual control over any overclockable components. It also has some default overclock settings, making it easy for the layman that wants a bit more bang for the buck without going into complicated micromanagement. I would strongly recommend upgrading the BIOS at the first opportunity, whether or not overclocking is on the agenda. The trend of right-angle SATA connections on the motherboard instead of 180 degree(straight)connectors off of the board is an issue that I have encountered several times now. This is not a new problem but I find cable management is frustrating in many cases due to parallel hard drive bays being positioned almost flush against the right angle SATA connectors off of the motherboard, making it far more challenging to plug all of the hard drives in without putting pressure on their SATA connectors from the mess of cables coming off of the motherboard. My computers all run 5+ SATA devices AND this is only an issue with cases that have the hard drive bays running parallel with the case(eg. Lian Li Z60B or Antec Nine Hundred) but is not a problem with sideways hard drive cages(eg. Lian Li PC-7FNB or Fractal Design Define R4). Silverstone makes some 180 degres SATA3 cables that have smaller connector heads, also sold here on NCIX, that make the challenge of right angle motherboard connectors and parallel hard drive bays a lot easier to get everything plugged in safely. Just a word of warning, to avoid potential damage to the SATA connections on hard drives and/or motherboard ensure that you are looking at the number of SATA devices, position in the case, direction the devices will be facing, etc. You can then plan accordingly, getting an accomodating case or cables that are more suited to a potential tight fit.You may have read some previous complaints about the difficulty in securing this board inside a computer case due to the thermal armor making it difficult to screw it in. That is more of a problem with the screws supplied with the case. Some cases, like the Lian Li Z60B that I put this motherboard in to, come with tall thumbscrews for motherboard installation. These thumbscrews made installing the board extremely easy and I'd strongly recommend sourcing some of these if using this motherboard. I can see how normal case screws could be very akward to use with the thermal armor on the mobo though and imagine that if you are forewarned then you can probably find an easy workaround.SATA3 performance has been stellar so far. The speeds have exceeded any of my previous builds with absolutely no bottlenecks on the board so far. Of course, I would have prefered all the SATA connections to be SATA3 capable but I am already over it.Dust covers for unused expansion slots are cute, help create  a very clean look inside the case and I imagine may reduce the amount of time one needs to spend occassionally blowing out the interior of the case for dust.Quality motherboard components are pretty common among Asus motherboards in this price range but it is worth bringing up that this motherboard has great capacitors on it and the warranty from Asus is as good as it gets in the industry. I DO have a concern here though.. Outside of the 20mm fans from the venerable Asus A7N-SLI Deluxe era that spun so quickly they burned out in mere months, I've never had to warranty a personal motherboard to Asus. Ever. Coincidentally, this motherboard comes with a couple of 20mm fans to help circulate the air under the thermal armour. I'm incapable of reviewing the longevity and performance of these fans until such a time as they ultimately fail or not but with a "performance" system I do not believe that they are all that optional. In an average gaming system installed in a case with good airflow I think the temperatures could creep into the uncomfortable range pretty quickly, even without overclocking.Overall, I would recommend this motherboard to anyone shopping around for something to drop  a new i5 or i7 into. Great features, great quality and this motherboard will not fail to impress with it's very clean appearance.

Cons:Needs a BIOS update  right out of the box for new CPUs (but its easy to do!)

Pros:The whole damn thing
Comment:
Zero problems setting it up with my new i5 3570k, but it does need a BIOS update  for the fan to run properly. update s easy and runs very cool. Also it looks awesome! The Z77 chipset is fast and great, the PCI lanes work with no conflicts, and the slim board leaves tonnes of room in the case for the rest of pieces.

Pros:Thermal armor / radar is just great!!
Comment:
mobo itself looks great but when you put it in the case with all hardwares, just way more fantastic!! Thermal radar helps alot when you OC. Aircooling heatsink problem with thermal armor is biggest fail of this mobo but you can get hydrolic heatsink like corsair H100 instead.great mobo, satisfied!

First ASUS mobo, very impressed with it in every way. If you're like me, you don't find a lot of usefulness in all the software that comes with motherboards. About the only thing I use for this one is the thermal radar, and only when I'm curious - not start with windows start up.

Cons:AI Tweaker did not seem to work for me

Pros:Nicest looking board I have seenEnough fan headers for all the fans in my caseQ-Shield and Q-Connector5 year warranty
Comment:
What can I say? This has to be one of the nicest boards I have ever seen. The thermal armor does a nice job of keeping the dust off the board and keeping everything cool. All of the fan headers are able to adjust their voltages so you can slow down the case fans for silent computing even if they are not PWM. AI Tweaker does not seem to work for me but I may just need an updated version of the software. BIOS overclocking works great.
