Smaller. Really smaller. Increadible range and resolution for such a tiny device. Picks up more wi-fi networks at better range than my internal 802.11g network in my laptop with integrated antenna. Uncomplicated install. Get's a tiny hot for the duration of use. Be careful touching the metal USB connector when getting rid of from the port following prolonged useage. Nonetheless can\'t think the reception possible from this device.

Very good cost for a compact Wireless-N adapter! Get a pretty excellent signal making use of Wireless-G from a WRT54GX by means of 300 feet of wall, floor, and concrete. Doesn't connect as rapidly as I'd like it (at least in Networking it states it's connected at 24-36MBPS). No lanyard hole. All in all, minor items that don't actually warrant the loss of a star. Arranging on choosing up a Wireless-N router to see how effectively the N performs. But until then I can say that the Wireless-G performance is major-notch.

Straightforward install, Rapidly Speeds, Very Compact (you could just about leave it plugged in your laptop even when it is turned off and place in your bag) N/A I have however to try this on any other operating system then Windows 7, nonetheless as quickly as I try it on my Ubuntu ten.04 install I'll add a lot more on how well it functions with that.

My college campus only has 802.11G wireless in the classrooms, with sparse coverage, so even though I get zero efficiency increase with the 802.11N, the added signal enhance made the difference among passing and failing the class. I nevertheless had to research even though :(Can't win 'em all occasionally, signal strength is much more crucial then bandwidth.

Runs beautifully. I have a junky small laptop that I use that doesn't have a WiFi card and once the computer boots its currently on the internet. I had to get a second 1 because I thought that I had lost the first one particular. I actually found the initial one particular the day the second arrived so I gave it to my girl buddy. Quite little = quite uncomplicated to shed. Also use the Windows Zero Config as an alternative of the third celebration computer software for connecting. WZC is considerably quicker. Granted it has much less functionality.

Tiny and easy to set up. Performs fine with Win7 64. Using WPA-AES. Signal strength is moderate but as it is so modest it hugs the laptop or computer case and its antenna is at a disadvantage compared to a units with external antenna. Would get one more. Price ร. None so far. I have only been working with G mode not N but streams You-tube just fine

Really tiny. Wireless N.Functions in osx (but see cons) It ONLY performs with the 32 bit kernel in osx....this genuinely upsets me due to the fact i like to boot with the 64 bit kernel...i wish i had identified it wasn't supported with each (most kexts in snow leopard perform with either kernel)the top is extremely modest....i lost mine quickly. I like the blue LED.

I figured it would cost as considerably to mail it in for a repair. asus adapter solved the dilemma with the sacrifice of a single usb slot.

Compact size, operates excellent with XP and Windows 7 64-bit None hence far I required anything that would enable me to have net access all through my new house so, I purchased 3 of these to operate with the ASUS WL-520GC Wireless Router I also bought from Newegg. I wish that I had bought a lot more for buddies and household. I have standard dsl service given that it's all that is obtainable in my region and this served my purposes. Connection speed is comparable to ethernet that I previously utilized at ㆈkB/sec. Will update when much better broadband speeds is available to me. As it is, I am extremely satisfied with this product and would suggested to other individuals. Excellent service from Newegg and UPS as generally.

Really smaller dongle. Rock solid overall performance. I use this device in my WD HD Reside to stream movies from my Mac Mini or Windows 7 Pc. In either instance it performs flawlessly. Range could be an concern. Such a modest device means a smaller antenna. Nonetheless, I've had a laptop about 50 feet away with little signal degradation. It's worth a shot for your particular predicament and setup at this price tag point.

Tiny Weak. The adapter was employed on a desktop and it could not retain a useful connection with a trendnet router only a few feet away. Yea, I could blame the walls amongst them. But my netbook and laptop perform quite well in the very same spot. RMAed it and ordered a PCI wireless card rather.

This is 1 of the ideal investments I ever created. I bought three of these tiny issues and they all function great. I use 2 of the on my media center computer's and the other has created its rounds on all the friends computers that I operate on. No thing simpler than just stick in the tiny usb adapter and right after installing drivers obtaining internet versus sticking the computer system subsequent to the router and operating a cable. Absolutely worth it. None.

Really tiny. Supports N. Compatible with the ASUS O!Play HDP-R1. Only 150Mbps speed. Appears to be a tiny unstable, maybe due to the fact of it's size. Was having a lot of concerns obtaining it to stay connected on N speeds I was using it with a D-Hyperlink DIR-655 router. In order to get it to function with the HDP-R1 O!Play, you have to set up the firmware for the O!Play HDP-R3 (Air) by forcing it to do a recovery firmware set up (google is your buddy here). General it worked okay, but it was a tiny unstable.

1. Tiny2. Excellent signal more than my small apartment3. Tinyfour. Operating Linux drivers5. Tiny Needs technical knowledge to get it operating in Linux I have it operating in both Ubuntu 10.04 and Gentoo. Have to download the 8712SU driver from Realtek (which requires some navigating by way of their web site). Extract the contents and concern "make && make install" as root and away ye go! On ubuntu, it worked quickly right after I modprobed it. In Gentoo, as always, it took much a lot more configuration to get operating but nonetheless is operating properly. The included scripts in the driver package give some hints on how to configure wpa_supplicant.

Really tiny. Cheap!! Wonderful Speeds. b/g/n compatable. None Had some concerns with it connecting at very first but I feel it's a faulty motherboard to blame. I am working with a neighbors connect which is far off and I get far better signal strength working with this than with any other personal computer in the residence!

I bought one particular of these tiny guys for 1 of my household members to use in their aging laptop. Installation went smooth, and the device was up and operating within about ten minutes. Device runs pretty hot (hot to the touch). I haven't observed any adverse affects as of however, but something to note I opted to install drivers from the disc, then just disable the utility and let windows manage the device. This selection was produced, mainly due to the fact the particular person employing the laptop has limited tech expertise and the wireless utility computer software included with the device can be confusing to someone who doesn't fully grasp networking.

Inexpensive! Win7 64 bit didn't want drivers. Signal APPEARS to be robust. Tiny and light While it appears to have a very good signal, the datarates are half of what I get with other adapters. My laptop's card shows a moderate signal level, but I usually get 130 Mbs. This dongle shows much greater signal level but seems to be "stuck" at 64Mbs. Slightly more quickly than G, but I nearly contemplate this a G dongle, not N I nevertheless can not complain for the value! I did attempt a 12" USB extention cable and move the dongle about. The datarates of my other N cards go up and down, this seems to just be "stuck" at 64. It's just something to preserve in my laptop bag in case I will need it on the road, so I'm definitely content with ฝ bucks.
