ASUS USB-N10 USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter
Comment:
Affordable, quite tiny. Signal excellent/distance is OK for the cost point ྯbucks) but notably inferior to greater USB adapters. Sufficient for my needs and excellent fits the cost point. It travels with my B/G-only laptop for use when utilizing somebody else's N-capable AP so my laptop adapter doesn't dumb-down the radio signal for the other users.Range is compromised mainly by lack of antennae space inside this tiny adapter. But also heat create-up clearly degrades performance. Under heavy load (eg: media streaming) the adapter gets really hot and throughputs & signal stability suffer, minimizing the usable range (guess: by ㅌ%). Tested extensively against two diverse B/G APs for 3 weeks. No complaints. 4 eggs minus a different for the heat problem.

Uncomplicated, effortless set-up. Works on an old Mac mini OS X 10.4.9), this is why I purchased two units. Picked up signal in relatively short time. Great reception at a long range (my antenna is downstairs, my Mac is upstairs at the opposite end of the property, about 45-50 feet away). Need a couple of tries to get it going. Perhaps a bit slow. Documentation is a bit light in particulars. Plastic packaging is genuinely difficult to open.

ASUS USB-N10 USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter

The size of this adapter is best. Previously, I had a Netgear USB adapter that was nearly four" extended that stopped working. I was always worried about snapping it off each time I reached around to the back of the tower. Now I have no worries with this mini adapter.I've had no connectivity complications and no dropped connections thus far. Extremely consistent.I'm not using this for a laptop, but it would be an outstanding solution for a broken internal card. It comes with a cap, but I don't think I would ever use it as I would usually leave the adapter in.The range is not on par with full size 802.11n adapters with high gain antennas, but it is still extremely acceptable. The software for the driver is lightweight, not like Netgear's at all. There is not additional software program telling you that you are connected in 10 diverse techniques. It supports all current security standards. It connects at 150Mbps, not 300Mbps. This isn't a con, but just a heads up. It's in the specs.Win7 doesn't have native generic drivers for this device, so the extra software program is a have to. This adapter is running on a Win7 x64 based system 24x7 with no any concerns.

Great Speed. Quite modest. Effortless installation. Very challenging RMA method. Failed soon after much less than 2months. Incredibly difficult to find rma method. No response from ASUS. They make it more affordable to obtain a new 1 then to get a RMA replacement.

Works fantastic with Windows 7 ࿠-bit) right after installing the driver from the CD. The range is considerably superior than expected. It's smaller than a Scrabble piece installed. It wasn't totally free and took four days to arrive.

Compact, minimal configuration with Linux, works extremely properly with Linux, really low price (I got it from newegg for under ฝ.00 on sale), comes with Newegg's amazing RMA service. This isn't a lot of a con, but originally the item I ordered was malfunctioning a bit and would connect to my access point and then instantly lose connectivity. I RMA'd it and the replacement has worked flawlessly at 300mb/s connection speed. Fantastic item. Asus makes superb hardware and I have been a customer of Newegg for 8 or 9 years now. Superb costs and service.

* Tiny form factor.* Straightforward Setup.* Works Fantastic. * Fit a small snug on the initial install. I bought this to make my WD HD Tv Live wireless. Installed up and running in under 3 minutes. Only reason I did not give this a five star rating is that it is not the fastest of transfer rates. Nonetheless, for the purpose of streaming media from my media server, it works perfectly.

Steady, stable efficiency. None so far. Bought this on sale for half cost. Links up smoothly with our affordable Trendnet TEW-639 wireless router with out any lengthy wait, each in Windows XP and Windows 7. Reception is strong and steady. Did not install ASUS software program utility. Just making use of Windows Wireless Zero Configuration software program and the driver that was included on the ASUS install disc. (Plug in ASUS wireless adapter and the Discovered New Hardware Wizard appears. Browse to Drivers folder on ASUS install CD, choose driver for your version of Windows.)

Only had a brief time; bought on sale five-teen dollars shipped. Bought to use with WDTV Live (WD Television Live) and it works wonderful so far. Recognized appropriate away, set up a breeze. Range appears pretty good. Works perfectly so far. only 150mbpsǘ.4ghz wireless N. But that's OK, I'm using it in a G network. Ships via newegg cheepie shipping (DHL/USPS) not UPS, so it took an added day or so saves dollars. Working with with WDTV Live and network with WRT54g/DD-WRT WPA .

Effortless to set up and amazingly modest none Other accounts on pc had issues with Internet browsers. The ASUS Adapter worked fine but browsers (IE and Firefox) couldn't connect. I had to go into the world wide web possibilities for each and every app and adjust the "Connections" page to automatic and viola' it worked fine.

ASUS USB-N10 USB 2.0 Wireless Adapter
Cons:But not the fastest USB adapter out there....

Pros:Super Small, and fast!

This is my second time buying one of those. The first one I got for my wife's netbook about 6 months ago to replace her dead internal adapter; she's still using it, with no complaints. Then came time for me to build an HTPC. I didn’t have room for an internal adapter, so I bought this instead. It's been working great! No interruptions while streaming, or downloading. It's fast, but there are faster options available. I chose this mainly for its size, and reliability based on previous experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a small wireless N USB adapter.

*** ZERO STAR ***Where do I start? I have never come across any piece of PC hardwares that died so quickly. The QNAP TS-212 detected it right away and connected just fine with WPA2 key, for a minute or so, then refused to connect again, ever. Tried it on 2 other PCs with identical result. Drivers installed fine on XP & W7 and was showing working fine in Device Manager, but won't connect to the router no matter what. Cheap on quality. No deal even though it costed $20 only after HST.
