I bought this monitor because it has speakers, my ps3 uses hdmi output , and sony copywrited its bluetooth game sound, so my turtle beaches couldnt pick up sound, so i needed an audio out, which i had no idea that it had aux output and input, BONUS FROM ME! Works great, no dead pixels, great size, good response time, good colour modes for various uses, could notice clarity when playing console games from my old phillips TV, works with my macbook using minidisplay to hdmi. Definitely recommend it to any other console gamers. Basically a TV without cable input.

Got this to replace my gf's second monitor and so far Dell < Asus < LG < Samsung for me. Better than Dell's aging monitor but still worse than Samsung in terms of screen quality. Come to think about it, I think my LG monitor I bought for similar price has better quality than Asus. First Asus product which I wasn't impressed with.

<赨 can't be beat. With HDMI, DVI and VGA connectors, VESA-compatible, 2ms response, 1920x1080 resolution and wonderful contrast ratio makes for a fantastic feature-set. This is a nice monitor for the price. Good quality picture, decent color reproduction. It arrived with all good pixels. The size is perfect for casual desktop use. It's very suitable for gaming. The only real negative to this monitor is the very poor speakers. They are so weak at 100% sound level that you can barely hear them. Any background noise in the room and they are useless. Usually I don't consider using monitor speakers, but for this computer build I was planning to. I had to end up buying desktop speakers. Other than the speakers, I can recommend this monitor.

great colour, capabilities, excellent, price menus are slow, require to press buttons many occasions to register. this is annoying when switching inputs or volume. volume control is not very great, as it requires like three clicks before it can be raised or lowered.

Exceptional resolution, fantastic colors/contrast for the value. Good hookup choices. Wonderful worth for the cash. Some ghosting visible on a vibrant background, but I don't notice it most of the time. Its a TN panel, so viewing angle is typical. Speakers are so-so and not very loud, so don't count on to play much hi-def audio. This is for common purpose house use (movies, internet, picture editing and application improvement)I use a pair of Dell Ultrasharps at work, so I'm used to having adjustment/rotation and an great viewing angle. The Asus is not stellar in these respects (limited adjustment and TN), but for the value, its absolutely 5 stars. I wish Asus had left off the speakers and supplied a USB hub as an alternative - that would have created it great.

Good monitor with built in speakers. Speakers are a bit quiet when connected to the computer, but are okay when connected to my satellite receiver, which indicates it is probably more of an issue with the output level from my computer.

(Note, neither have any dead pixels)I ran a stuck pixel finder tool (just a thing that cycles by means of background colors) when I got each monitors and identified that both have two.I'm fairly picky about having no noticeable defects on my screens, but I've determined that they are not going to be noticeable under regular viewing, so I'm not going to try and return them. There are methods to try and repair stuck pixels as nicely so I'll give those strategies a attempt because I am slightly OCD about this sort of factor :)That's the only thing maintaining them from a 5-star rating.

Bought 2, they are OK. Glossy back, bezel and base, matte screen.I find that for web surfing, multi-window work, the screen displayed whites will change (to more yellow) depending on other colours in windows/on the screen.Gaming seems to be fine.

This monitor replaces my workhorse Acer 22". In comparison, at 1st I was a bit underwhelmed by the size as it seems to be the very same height but just a bit wider. This monitor is excellent for it's value, but was even better through the sale.It's complete 1080p HDMI, but you're going to have to mess around with the stock settings to get a crisp monitor image. I recommend downloading 'pixperan', which will allow you to modify your monitor settings very easily because it delivers you with several diverse tests.It's sound is slightly louder (not by considerably) than an iPhone at complete volume if you'd like to compare, but you shouldn't acquire this monitor for the speakers. Extremely huge screen and is surprisingly light for it's size. The monitor doesn't display any picture. Pressing the menu buttons also does not bring anything up on screen. Waiting to hear back from ASUS about this monitor. I'll update my overview afterwards.

Though not the best monitor out there, it is very acceptable for the sale price I purchased it at. They make a great second or third monitor if you are picky, but make a fantastic main monitor if you are on a budget and just don't care about the little things.
