i am not going to compare this with my 27 inch dell ultrasharp u2711 which i paid much much higher pricewith all cons listed above, this is a very decent monitor at this price range, you could get this for $99 at warehouse sales, too bad it was in BC only

Clear image, no dead pixles. Sound, although it is built in and 1 watt speakers. I expected absolutely nothing good but the sound on my four year old HOP monitor was much greater. usually end up using headphones to watch movies due to it getting quiet. May well be greater if there is a wall or some thing straight behind the monitor but I have a corner desk. many persons say the monitor is to bright, personally I do not uncover this to be the case. Even so I use it in a extremely properly lit room

I picked up another one after owning one for several months and I'm extremely happy with it. There's a reason it's a top seller, it gives excellent performance per dollar and Asus is great to deal with if ever an issue arises.

SomertonBobThat black border in HDMI is a graphic card problem. Radeon net internet site says to adjust resolution and it stretches the picture to total screen as an HDMI simulation. But, if you have an HDMI cable plugged in from your cable or satellite box, the factory setting works just fine with no black borders. You only get that black border when you have a HDMI cable plugged into a graphics card. none Sounds like other individuals are getting graphic card troubles and blaming it on this monitor.When the auto messes up, the mechanic may well have to verify twenty or thirty diverse products before obtaining the bring about.But it appears some folks writing these evaluations, claiming to be expert tech level, bad mouth this item (and other items) devoid of hunting for all probable causes. So, it's an RMA and back to obtain a different c r a p p y LG monitor...On another thread, a guy is undesirable mouthing the Avermedia hd video capture card simply because it freezes up on him. Duh, that occurs since he's got a 256mb graphics card and operating a 5600 disc drive even though attempting to capture 1080i video.Come people, think ahead of you write.

No dead pixels. LED backlight should give very good power consumption and a likelihood at longer life than old-style backlights. Does not auto-select inputs. Plug in with VGA cable and it says "HDMI - no signal" untill we press the input-pick button. The DVI input appears dead. Have attempted with the included DVI cable and a identified-very good 1 of ours. Often says no signal. (Our DVI cable and similar personal computer perform fine on a 1080p monitor of an additional brand. Similar comp operates with VGA cable with either monitor.) Have not tested the HDMI input.Menus are not as intuitive as on the LG E2340 / LG E2350 or NEC EA192M.Buttons are on the bottom, facing down, not the decrease-front like I prefer. At least it has true buttons, not the horrid touch-sensitive abominations on the LG E2350. Inputs are on the back, facing down. May well be ok if you want to put it against a wall, but I take place to hate that arrangement.Have not tested the speakers.Must have got an additional LG 2340. Have many, no issues with any of them.Plan to try to RMA it tomorrow because of the DVI issue.

HDMI, DVI, VGA inputStand seems sturdyCost, if you dont thoughts the Cons Bleeding(brighter edges) on all four sides of the monitor.Ghosting in games and even moving windows around on the desktop.do a google search to see for oneself. Need to Have Paid Much more for an HP

Totally beautiful visuals, brightness; I compared side-by-side with Dell ST2420L, and this monitor even though 23.6, looks amazing and the whites/colors are wonderful. None I was organizing on using my other Dell ST2420L as my principal monitor, but now use this as my most important monitor - even even though its small smaller sized.

I've always liked ASUS monitors. They offer a good blend of quality and affordability with many of the common features that are good for a monitor.I have noticed no real serious backlight bleed, though, to be honest I have not used it in a dark environment too much yet. The colors are nice and bright right out of the box. I felt very little adjustment was necessary.This is the 3rd ASUS monitor I've purchased throughout the years and so far, none of them have arrived with dead pixels which sorta speaks a bit about ASUS' quality control.

Large monitor. Nice upgrade from my old 19". Easy to setup and set up. No dead pixels. Really vivid and the colors had been crisp and clear. Stand does not vertically adjust. Not that big of an problem. Great worth for the cost.

A nice thin monitor with a clear image. Very vivid and bright colours. The size seems very big to me and this is probably as big as I would want. Overall I am very pleased with this monitor. Some minor complaints... The speakers are very weak and less powerful than many laptop speakers, but that isn't too surprising I guess. There are also annoying dialog boxes that splash onto the upper left corner to tell you what input the monitor is using when it first starts. These splash boxes obscure the bios info and my GRUB bootloader selection for Linux/Windows

LED, 1080p, good picture excellent, has all three key inputs, no ghosting (or none that i have noticed), somewhat low-cost still a TN screen, no displayport, speakers aren't very loud, not 120 Hz This is a single of the greatest monitors on the industry at the moment for these looking to get most of the new, high-finish capabilities with out paying a ridiculous cost.
