Acer Sage2 Core i5-3339Y 4GB 120GB SSD 11.6in IPS Touch Windows 8 Notebook Silver
Cons:Windows 8.1 update  is difficult, french keyboard, slowish processor, Bloatware

Pros:CHEAP! Full Windows OS, nice display, solid state drive

If you don't know much about computers, this is the wrong product for you!I followed Loafer9876's instructions here for updating to Win 8.1, which worked well. The BIOS version I used is 2.0.7.It's still not working perfectly, but it's getting there.I uninstalled a LOT of junk, most of it useless Acer stuff that runs in the background. After removing it, performance improved noticeably. The picture of the product is showing a different keyboard than was shipped (I'm in Canada). I got the AWFUL FRENCH KEYBOARD that is typical with Acer products, but I was hoping for a regular keyboard as displayed. I have to re-map the left shift and enter keys.It DID come with a BlueTooth mouse and batteries, which I wasn't expecting.I've only had the P3 one day, it's still a work in progress. I'll update  this review if anything changes.

Acer Sage2 Core i5-3339Y 4GB 120GB SSD 11.6in IPS Touch Windows 8 Notebook Silver
Cons:The 8.1 update  was a pain to deal with

Pros:Design, Adaptability, Processor Speed
Comment:
I really like this product. At the price point here on NCIX, it has been a great way to purchase -- without a major investment -- a product that allows me to get the practical functionality of a laptop and the adaptability of a tablet in one sleek product. The processor speed is great, there is ample storage and it is very portable. For heavy application use, the battery life isn't the greatest, but it is totally satisfactory for my purposes. I think it is a great option for students and business folks on the go. The 8.1 update  was the worst part of this purchase. There ought to be better instructions for updating your system drivers, etc after an 8.1 update . One of the reviewers here left great instruction/warning for the update . Something that simple, with a bit more care in presentation would help the customer experience. I returned my first purchase because I didn't know how to update  the system appropriately after the 8.1 update . ** Thank you to Loafer9876 for the review. It was very helpful. **I had to tweak my system slightly differently after the update , but you pointed me in the right direction. Acer's support line was not very helpful ...

Acer Sage2 Core i5-3339Y 4GB 120GB SSD 11.6in IPS Touch Windows 8 Notebook Silver
Cons:-WINDOWS 8.1 update  causes MASSIVE issues. Please read below.-Micro HDMI instead of full size is hard to find cables for.-CPU is slower that surface pro and other competition but great for this discounted price range.Keyboard dock is less sturdy than expected. Tablet falls down over keyboard if you get a bit too aggressive.

Pros:-Great bang for buck.-Better than expected battery life-Toshiba mSATA SSD

DO NOT update  THIS TABLET/LAPTOP TO WINDOWS 8.1 WITHOUT READING MY REVIEW!!!Instantly after the update  to 8.1 was completed the laptop felt like it had 1 gb of ram and no videocard drivers. I couldn't even watch a youtube video without it being choppy. Boot times went up to around 90 seconds from the 15 seconds it was when new.I ran CPU-Z to troubleshoot and found that the CPU was stuck at 800 mhz. The other issue was that the graphics drivers were not windows 8.1 compatible which meant the graphics card was not able to accelerate anything video related. The solution was to download all the new drivers from acer's website including a new bios (1.07 vs 1.03 IIRC) and new intel graphics drivers as well as new Bluetooth/wifi drivers. (intel hd4000 drivers from the intel site DO NOT WORK!)This fixed all the issues except the CPU being stuck at 800mhz. After a lot of research and many, many wasted hours, I discovered that under the power settings of windows there is a CPU TDP setting that had switched itself after the update  to 10 watt max TDP instead of 13 Watt TDP. This was the reason the processor was bound to 800mhz max clock. Now that I changed this setting back to 13 Watts the laptop performs as it should. If I was not a stubborn nerd that refused to pay another 300$ for a MS surface pro, I would have returned this laptop in a heartbeat, however if you have the ability and knowledge to follow the steps I have outlined here you will enjoy this laptop and the money you saved can go towards more awesome things like tuition or fuel to get you to school. :P

Acer Sage2 Core i5-3339Y 4GB 120GB SSD 11.6in IPS Touch Windows 8 Notebook Silver
Cons:1. Unreliable Windows 8 installation. Lots of error and causing the System Restart in a few second after login.2. Can not run update  Windows Patches, Windows 8 shutdown in a few sec. after login.3. Not able to boot to Safe Mode.4. Not worth to spend time and effort to fix Windows 8 initial issue which should qualify to be operatable before release.5. Not Easy to reinstall the OS because there are no DVD Drive equipped in this Ultrabook

Pros:Relatively Low Price with Intel I5 and 120GB SSD HD.
Comment:
Windows 8 Basic Model is a very poor quality product like Vista and lack of support features such as remote desktop and FTP. Re-arrange the Control Panel, Not easy to access it in Desktop like Windows 7 - Big Mistake in Design Interface. Lots of errors (e.g. Error in launch.dll). Wasting time in experiencing Fatal Error in Mircosoft Windows 8.0. Not sure if Windows 8.1 is capable in fixing all the issues.
