Trying to figure out the precise amount to use..... I have utilized Arctic Silver for over 5 years on every machine I've built. I OC my personal machines, and I have never had an issue with the thermal paste.

Comment: All I have ever used over my 7 years of computer building. Always my go to for TIM. Usually 4-5 degree drop from stock paste if applied correctly. Anything else is better than the factory goop they slap on whatever cooler your using. Or even better thean most of the TIM you get with an aftermarket cooler.

Melosa Rating: Review Date: 07/01/12	Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound Comment: CPU (AMD Phenom II x6 1100T) Idles at 21-22 °C employing Cooler Master Hyper 212+ and this thermal compound. Can be messy to put on. What I did initial is fill out the gaps of the CPU Cooler with this thermal paste then spread it thin evenly. Then I place 3 thin lines at the center of the CPU Cooler ahead of placing it on leading of the CPU.I know this appears also a lot or not a frequent way of placing a thermal paste... but whatever... it worked for me! :P

Should come with a modest, plastic spatula, for the value.Overpriced for the volume of grease. The tube is 1ǚ inch in diameter, and only 1.5 inches long. Adequate to do about five heatsinks, but way over priced. Make a spatula by cutting a half inch out of an old credit card. Functions good.
