Arctic Silver AA-1.75G Thermal Compound
Cons:not much diff than stockvery thick

Pros:under 5 bucks
Comment:
for under 5$ there's a pretty good amount of it. seems to work fine so far, cpu temps only went down 1 degree....stuff was really thick so i doubt it spread too well under the heatsink.

Only need to use a tiny ammount to be effective. Keeps my proc WAY cool. Also this paste is non conductive so if you spill a bit on your mobo, no will need to panic. purchased two tubes that I will never ever ever go by means of. I would very reccomend this more than the cheapo generic silver gunk. It is considerably far better

Arctic Silver assists offer Reduced Full Load Core Temperatures vs stock Fan Manufacturer Pastes, comes self packaged in an uncomplicated to use paste syringe, and is adequate compound to cover around 20 or so CPU's if utilized properly in encouraged quantities. This stuff can get genuine messy if not employed appropriately and it is Extremely critical that you ought to get rid of the existing thermal paste on your CPU and FAN before applying this solution or else you could not seriously see the enhanced cooling benefits this item delivers. Make confident you follow the producers directions to apply this prouct ahead of undertaking something! Failing to do so can be messy and even damaging to your CPU, Socket, Motherboard, and/or FAN! The method is not quite challenging at all and if done correctly will aid your technique run alot cooler and execute far better at full load vs stock manufacturer thermal pastes. This solution does not really match the top quality of Arctic Silver five but this product is definately a have to over stock manufacturer pastes. I have used Arctic Silver items for years and continue to use them currently! Excellent Stuff!

Inexpensive, robust thermal compound for processors. There are about 5-eight applications based on how significantly you use. A handful of Celsius cooler then Intel's stock paste. It's not produced of silver? It functions and it's affordable. Why not?

Put a server together out of bits and pieces I had in my Sid box; slapped a heatsink and fan onto a P4 Ɠ GHz, 1MB cache) and threw Ubuntu server ten.04 alpha on it (for kicks and giggles). Whenever I ssh'd into it the fan would spin up really higher, and if I was running updates, I'd get messages on the console saying the processor had overheated and it was dropping clockspeed. It sucked. So I ordered some of this stuff and pasted a dime-sized spot of it on the processor and clamped the whole thing down. Processor fan's sounded sane ever due to the fact. As the title says, I don't know about quality of this precise brand because I haven't tested and measured and performed SCIENCE but it appears far better than some other generic paste I could have sandwiched amongst the processor and heatsink. Certainly was superior than the nonexistent thermal paste on there prior to. It was shipped from New Jersey and took a day longer than the gigabit ethernet card from LA did? Shipping was a lot more costly than the paste itself?

This tiny tiny tube has observed more than it's fair share of fresh builds and re-seating of OEM elements. To date, one particular tube has been employed on 6 CPUs, a GPU and two chipsets. Doesn't give your case that new car or truck smell. If I had only known how far 1.75g would go, I wouldn't have bought two. Thank goodness I didn't get the 10g

low-cost. fantastic quantity for what you pay. handy syringe. outperformed generic thermal paste i purchased from radio shack. none really. shipping can reasonably high if you acquire this alone. even so i purchased an assortment of required products along with it such as further case fans, and extension cables. produced it worthwhile. i use this paste on a phenom II 940be overclocked from three. to three.four GHz, with stock cooler, temps max 40-42c below higher loads during crysis warhead.

Cost and performance. The tube is difficult to reseal for later use. Could of just been me but I when I went to install a new NB heatsink the paste seemed dry. Guess I didn't seal the tube all the way :( Was ready to give this two stars mainly because my idle temps didn't transform; nevertheless, I noticed a 3C drop in one hundred% load in prime 95.

Can't evaluate to stock paste as it was employed in my initially develop, but properly controls temps. 30C no load, up to about 60 at 100%. A lot offered in the tube, feels like I got way additional than needed for just the one processor. Use the on the net guide to ensure proper installation...only a little quantity is necessary at prep of the heatsink and processor surfaces are needed.
