Incredible high quality. Adore the high res 1920x1080. I was working with an older 19 inch LCD from I-INC and the good quality distinction is just ridiculous. I love obtaining the button on the monitor to switch among the HDMI/DVI/VGA inputs, now I can hook up my xbox on the VGA port and the Pc on DVI port and leave the cables on and just press the button to switch amongst them on the monitor. Oh and this monitor comes with a DVI cable which is also a plus. My older monitor didn't. Incredible price tag for a sweet monitor IMO. The refresh rate was mentioned to be 50 - 76 Hz but I can only see up to 60Hz in windows 7. I am employed to 75Hz from my old monitor so I kinda had a tough time acquiring utilized to the lower refresh rate, specially in games. Kinda gave me a headache for a few days when i played for also long but right after a handful of days i got utilized to it and there are no troubles.

-excellent colors (at least compared to something else in this price tag range)-no dead pixels (yet anyway)-decent viewing angle-quite bright -controls work but my 15 year old CRT was a lot more intuitive, but it price 1500 not 150-going from a mostly dark screen to a white background (like a browser) will blind you and hurt. This isn't genuinely a con even though, just implies you should turn the brightness down.-glossy finish = fingerprint magnet-speaker are a joke (and volume manage is bad), but anybody who makes use of monitor speakers shouldn't complain about excellent. surely get this, particularly if it's nonetheless on sale.

Gorgeous HD display - ran it with both DVI and then HDMI to my Radeon 5380 GPU and anything looks fantastic. It's ASUS! 1 can do no incorrect with this corporation. This is a beautiful monitor, occasionally i even watch Netflix on this rather than my 46 inch HDTV! I do a lot of gaming and this was completely best. Blue Energy Star sticker on the best left corner, but other than that ZERO! If you're looking, just purchase it. You won't regret it.

-Complete 1920x1080 resolution is fantastic.-Scenery Mode of Splendid Technology is breathtaking. -One dead pixel showed up immediately after only about a week.-When alt-tabbing from a fullscreen application (World of Warcraft in this case) to desktop while each are the similar resolution, this monitor turns off and comes back on, resulting in a few seconds lag. This did not happen on my preceding monitor. This behavior is very annoying.These two cons forced me to dock an egg. If you could do half-eggs, I would give this monitor a 3.5Ǜ instead of 4Ǜ. I expected much better from ASUS. I have not tried the built-in speakers. Frankly I would have preferred the monitor not have them. I don't like paying for things I don't use. Even so, they don't interfere with my gaming experience and I do appreciate the convenience of possessing them if my good speakers ever fail.

Clear, vibrant and Amazing looking color on this monitor. The SPLENDID color modes are extremely nice and general? This point makes my other monitor appear terrible. Going to replace it as properly soon. The buttons on the bottom aren't bad, but at times it gets inconvenient if you accidentally hit some thing mid-game.

I am having difficulty coming up with any cons. The speakers aren't incredibly fantastic, but I expected that. I truly can\'t come up with any substantial cons for this monitor. Initially I didn't actually like the color, even so immediately after playing with the settings I really like it! I also like that there is a button to alter inputs, my old monitor needed going through the menu. It is considerably brighter than my old LCD screen. Also the screen size looks a lot bigger than I believed it would be. General I am very pleased with this monitor, and got it at a wonderful price tag.

Good monitor, wonderful colors, has the selection to select Gaming mode, Scenary Mode, Standard Mode, and Theater Mode!!! IT WENT ON บ OFF THE Subsequent DAY Immediately after IT CAME!!!! And there is a little smaller tiny black dot on the screen. Im not confident if this is a pixel malfunction or if there is dust inside. Im pretty confident its a pixel malfunction; It is a really thick black small square dot!!!!!! Good price. COULDNT Come across THE FEBURARY REBATE Form!!! I applied the March rebate form I hope they approve it, if not Ill have to do anything about it!

Price tag, capabilities and look. It died right after a small more than a month. The critiques for this monitor were wonderful but I got a lemon. It bleeds white light about the edges and about 7 days soon after the 30 day return period it started flickering badly with a D-Sub cable. I altered to a DVI cable and it cleared up, but now it is back. In truth, any movement of the plug causes intense flickering and then the monitor blows up white and is unusable. I have switched cables and applied distinct video connections. Same point happens with D-Sub, HDMI and DVI. I'm fairly sure it is the board the connectors are mounted to. Way too substantially motion of those connectors with no a lot force.Now I have to deal with Asus. The finest I can hope for is repair or a factory reconditioned replacement.I'm not happy and I possibly will not acquire a monitor from New Egg once more. I'd rather pay more and have a neighborhood retailer to return it to.

Got this for an older 2006 Vaio (RC210G) where i have alot of my older function. I had to upgrade the video card (XFX HD 5550) and i figured id take benefit of the hdmi output. The image looks great, no dead pixels, and you can tweak the visual settings fairly extensively. Full 1080p looks wonderful. Tends to make me like my older pc almost as much as my new one. A single could mention the speakers as a con but who makes use of monitors speakers? So i just disabled them and ran the pc output through my Presonus CS.

I had it plugged in through HDMI at first and it worked great. Speakers are not the greatest, but not bad at all. Works excellently through DVI as well.Sadly I was in the rush to nuy this thing as my other monitir had an unfortunate accident. So I had to pay $20 more from a local store rather than buy at NCIX. havent tried the HDMI but, but so far, this is the greatest monitor ive ever observed, hands down, picture excellent, "havent tried the speakers however" but i bought it with knowing that they wouldnt be excellent, so no cause to try them, im astounded how properly this screen looks, running 1080p from my desktop and it looks awesome i really cant think of anything, except if you buy this, when your taking off the plastic wrap about the screen, there isnt a bottom 1, make Positive you appear, >.< i accidentally tore off the "void warranty if tampered" sticker >.<, i created positive every thing worked on the screen 1st, other than me not paying attention, adore this screen came from a 17" ViewSonic that ive had for years, dont get me incorrect, it nonetheless works fine but i wanted a bigger screen, and do to the size of my space, i discovered that 21" to 23" would be best. i was shooting for a 23" but i decided on this 21.5 since of 1 the HDMI for my xbox 360, 2 it supported DVI and VGA, which is just nice to have possibilities, and three i was genuinely counting on ideal image, kinda of a leap of faith on my portion because i dont seriously get stuff like THIS on the web, "do only to dead pixels and what not" but this thing is Best, controls on it are easy and every little thing...

wonderful picture, presets are good, LED backlighting makes pictures genuinely "pop", versatile inputs (HDMI, DVI, and VGA? yes please!), speakers (not seriously excellent but passable), stunning glossy finish on cabinet, and for the price tag it really can't be beat! as many have mentioned, the speakers are "tinny" and you actually would want one thing else, but a single factor many overlooked was the reality that you have the line-in input and also a headphone jack, I'm using my monitor as a pass-by means of for my headphones. I read quite a few evaluations ahead of buying, so I was aware of the regular complaints, but as an common user I genuinely LIKE the glossy finish (yes, it picks up fingerprints, but who is consistently handling their monitor?), the presets looked fine for me (I recommend using Monitor Calibration Wizard, even though, good little program and it's totally free), and for the cost I feel a lot of reviewers are being unfairly nit-picky. LED backlighting is genuinely a large upgrade to my eyes.
