Heat sink looks quite cool. Was replacing an old 9800GTX+. Runs most games significantly less than half as fantastic. Could not run any 3d games more than 20fps. All drivers had been updated and clean installed. Immediately after dealing with tech support many times, I was sooner or later informed that my program's 550W PSU was insufficient to run this card, regardless of that being listed ON THE BOX, as the advisable power supply.Asus told me that to run this card, I needed a minimum of 750W PSU.

Rapidly, DX 11 assistance, runs incredibly cool. Ran each game I attempted whilst it was installed. What can I say it's a great card although it's operating. Card died not a week immediately after I constructed my technique. Began experiencing strange artifacts even though watching youtube videos. Soon my driver started to reset. On a hunch I ran some benchmark tests such as vantage and furmark. All tests had terrible graphic tearing and warping. Card wasn't even overclocked. Reinstalled driver with no results. I then installed my old 9800 GX2 and dilemma solved. Back to Newegg it goes. 1st time I've had to RMA something I've purchased from them. Hopefully this isn't indicative of the all round excellent of ASUS solutions.Card gets 1 egg due to my aggravation and obtaining to wait more than a week for a replacement.

Dual FansActual quiet! if you set it on auto. None It may possibly just be my unlocked X4 B60 clocked at three.7 but I'm receiving 78FPS typical with Resident Evil five every thing maxed out DX10 at 1920x1080. Which isn't bad but I was expecting higher, perhaps if I switch to intel it will be higher. But nonetheless this card is perfect! Can max every game out staying above 60fps+I will get a different this summer time.

Quite sturdy; The fan shroud is aluminum and is an operational element of the heat sink thermal resolution and is attached at multiple points on the card. I did not have to use the power cables as a card assistance like the last ASUS video card I installed for a buddy. It runs Video Card Stability Test @ 1210fps. I have noticed issues on GTA4 that I have under no circumstances seen ahead of – Great Efficiency! Powers down properly when idling – drops 200 watts from the wall outlet. My rig went from drawing 350 watts @ full test mode to 150 watts @ complete idle. It's a very quiet video card - aftermarket thermal solution is not needed. I am not positive if this card was a fluke, but it was packaged with out any kind of static protection bag. Static is a killer and this scares me as to how long it may possibly final (This is why I dropped 1 egg off of the rating - absolutely nothing to do with Newegg). - Very strong- Runs extremely cool (at low fan speed idle about 37c)- Nice design with outstanding cooling system - Doesn't permit my Computer to go back in time when the temp reaches 88 since it stays so cold.- There isn't something terrible about this card This card performs beautifully at max setting on any game I can find.

Very solidly create in a way that inspires confidence. Not huge. Initially ran well; was neither hot nor loud. Died immediately after only a handful of days; would show bizarre texture effects (not just "artifacts") and then lock up. Was not overheating, and manually ramping the fans made no distinction. Has two power connectors. Tried updated drivers; no fix. Also, a flange on the mounting bracket prevented my tool-cost-free expansion slots from working; had to use a screw. Purchased mainly due to excellent Civ V benchmarks, and Sacred 2 utilizes PhysX. RMA procedure was fast. PSU is a SG-650, so no difficulties there. Case is a CM690, so good airflow. Guess I just got a negative one.I'll review once more when the replacement arrives; will most likely finish up either a five-egg or a 1-egg purchase.

Installed card, installed drivers. Tested, badly.Cleaned old drivers, performed new clean set up of drivers. Tested, exact same result.Games are unplayable on this card, significantly less than 20fps. 9800 was 50-60 on the identical settings.

Energy connectors in very good positioning...cards overclock effectively... None I can feel of GamerOSD caused problems in some of my games..primarily ones that use DX9...soon after removing the computer software had no issues

Runs quiet, and cool. It runs the games I want it to on High-Ultra settings with 50-60 FPS. None as of but. For how several men and women that have had great experiences with this card there is no purpose a person need to give it 1-2 eggs for a DoA item. Its tech men and women, not each 1 is going to be flawless. You have no thought what the individuals did that handled the card just before you when it was becoming tested or shipped. DoA is DoA, RMA it and quit down rating good products.

This was a really necessary upgrade from 2x XFX 8600 GTS in SLI! I'm not a hardcore computer gamer, I play WoW and been testing out RIFT for the duration of the Beta period. I'm essentially able to see points in the game I weren't capable to see just before. Acquiring this card has inspired me to start off buying new games for my Computer to play now. So lengthy to consoles. This card will be in my case for quite a lengthy time. Not really poor but a note: if you have a Coolermaster HAF 932 you will want to do some modification to the card, that back best rail that has "ASUS" on it will have to be removed for the tool-much less snaps to snap in spot.

-Rock-solid milling. Metallic heat sink cover is of sturdy construction and incredibly sleek-Though "quiet" is subjective, I come across it to be barely audible, under a load*-Overall efficiency edges out my old GTX 460 1gb-New heat sink style facilitates greater processor surface region contact (copper heat pipes and base are integrated)-Dual-Fan cooling remedy in every single way superior to the reference series style. Never wanders even close to "too hot. I have no fan manage at the moment installed, nor have I encountered a situation for which it's required-Judging by the clock speeds of other offerings, there seems to be ample headroom for OC-Power jacks face the user rather of the HDD brackets (very great, given the length of the card) -*One of the fans occasionally emits a rattling/grinding sound that is just audible over the rest of the technique. However, allowing it to graze my fingertip although in operation eliminates it. Only ever happens upon startup. -Not able to remain at 60 fps at 1920 x 1080p on a 22 inch monitor with Globe of Warcraft set to Ultra in Orgrimmar, only 51-52...nevertheless searching for a single-card resolution that can. I haven't reinstalled yet so hopefully this is just some weird glitch on my personal computer's portion. This card stays Very cool. Right after 24 hours of stress testing (Furmark @ 1920x1080) the card topped out at 59c. At idle, it gets down to 30c. Ambient air temperature is 21c. Framerates in games are extremely stable and smooth! For you Folding@Home'rs out there, this factor can pull an simple 15k PPD! I only wish the 560 had the backplate like the 570 does... Excellent entry card for people today to upgrade to. I upgraded from a ATI 4850 512MB, and my Vantage scores quadrupled. ASUS tends to make some wonderful items, and their innovation with the DCII is good!

Shadow & Night Shadow top quality is awesome! Koodles to Newegg for their customer assistance & Fed-Ex’ing new card overnight & sending a prepaid return by way of UPS. Thank You Newegg! Replacement card functions excellent (Zero driver reinstalls) & I am truly pleased with the overall performance. Does NOT come in a anti-static bag, 1st card would not run at additional than 164fps immediately after reboot until I reinstalled drivers - would come out of hibernation fine, but Every single reboot expected driver reinstall. 1st card caused a slow laptop or computer until driver reinstall. It was a three second slowdown just beginning Video Card Stability Test plan. BIOS was out-of-date from factory. Due to the fact it does not come in an anti-static bag, I would suggest getting the extended warranty. Good cooler See beneath I've utilised ASUS products for years and bought a different a single of their laptops. I sent in my Mail in Rebate for 贶 and it was rejected. Maintain in mind, I photocopy Almost everything and have only had a single of maybe 20 Mail-In rebates get reject (they went out of enterprise shortly there soon after....who'd have thought). I faxed them copies and filed a BBB.org complaint against ASUS. They LOST/NEVER got my fax......even though I clearly have confirmation it was received by the girl I sent it also. It's been a total nightmare and I wouldn't count on acquiring anything back from them. Sad ASUS, I've usually enjoyed your items. Even when I lately purchased a new HD6870 Graphics card I looked at ASUS DirectCU, but since of this practical experience I went XFX....and guess what? I GOT MY MAIL IN REBATE! Rapid AT THAT! ASUS demands to take better care of their loyal customers (now former).

I have bought many Asus products more than the years which contain: CD-Rom drives, DVD burner drives and video cards. I actually believe they make just as fantastic a product as everyone else out on the industry. I would steer a client on to an Asus laptop any day of the week. If you are interested in getting a rebate from Asus be prepared to WAIT! Do NOT be in a hurry. They will at some point mail it out to you at the final possible moment! Make confident you make copies of almost everything and document it effectively for the rebate approach. If any little point goes incorrect, they will stiff you for the ten bucks more rapidly than you can blink an eye. C'mon Asus...........you can do far better than that!

This card is very rapidly and was a noticeable step up from the GTX460 768 I upgraded from. I can now run 8x AA at 1920x1080 on most games. The voltage regulators and so forth. all have a separate factory heatsink preinstalled, for water cooling just add a GPU waterblock. I utilised a Swiftech MCW80 with the GTX460 kit, and all the mounting holes lined up perfectly. I did not add heatsinks to the memory, since the stock cooler did not supply any either. They get warm but not hot. None truly. It's a fantastic card. I necessary a new video card for my media center, so I decided to purchase this for my key rig and transfer my GTX460 768 to the media center.Method specs:- Core2 Quad Q9550- 8GB DDR2- Xonar DG sound card- Samsung F3 1TB
