Cons:handles/legs are fragile. My case arrived with 3 attachment points of the legs snapped and all the small tabs that fix it in place along one side snapped of as well.

Pros:Seems like a user friendly easy to work with case. Sleek looks, great expandability.
Comment:
If you plan to move the case around much, maybe look to something sturdier. If its going to stay put then it looks like a great option. but DEFINITELY request that NCIX ship it with a fragile sticker. Mine was shipped in manufacturers box (surprised it wasnt stolen) and without a FRAGILE sticker and whatever degree of abuse it took was too much for the case. Now to wait and hope I can RMA it for exchange instead of replacement, now that NCIX's negligence in shipping it properly has alerted me to the weak points of this product.

Comment:
I ordered this case as a replacement for my Antec P280. I wanted to fit it under my desk and keep it out of the way, and absolutely love it. Has more than enough room for most power supplies, graphics cards, and hard drives. I have ordered a white one as well for my brother.

Cons:side panel is great for airflow to the expansion GPU, unfortunately using the windowed side panel lets you see the GPU but nothing else as the GPU blocks everything. (also airflow to GPU is reduced with the after market windowed panel)

Pros:lightweight, good airflow, lots of configurations for drives and fans

Bitfenix Prodigy mITX Mini-ITX Tower Case Midnight Black 1X5.25EXT 5X3.5INT No PS Top USB3.0 Audio
Cons:- Handles are have lots of give (case slides on smooth solid surfaces)- Handle mounting points are weak (mount right under screw on one corner cracked through-and-through right out of the box)- HDD modular tower should have been mounted off center... this would easily allow full sized graphics cards no problem.

Pros:- Great airflow- Pretty good layout for components- Could be a wicked case had Bitfenix ever bothered to release a 'fixed' design of the case
Comment:
I really wanted a build in this case, and will probably still get it again... once NCIX replaces the defective one (handle mount sheered off out of the box). Just have to make sure to loosen handle screw mounts slightly to reduce chances of breaking... also DO NOT carry by handles if you spent good money. After a handle breaking with zero weight in it, I'll never trust the damn thing to hold up under $1600 worth of breakable components in it!

Cons:My only complaint is the flimsy cheap plastic the handles and base legs are built out of.

Pros:Great case for a compact system. Amazing what you can squeeze in there.
Comment:
In all honest I'm afraid to lift the system using the flimsy handles. And the case wobbles very easily by just touch it. If it wasn't purchased for a christmas gift, I certainly would have returned this unit and got something different. If you have this system I wouldn't trust the handles at all.

Bought this for a budget gaming rig with the possibility of upgrading the GPU and/or overclocking (upgrading to water cooling) in the future. Build specs:Intel Core i5 3570kGigabyte z77n-wifi mITX motherboardIntel 530 120GB SSD250GB 2.5" HDD (spare HDD)Asus GTX 650ti boost4GB RAM (spare RAM I had laying around)Corsair CX-430 PSUEverything fit in the case perfectly and there is still tons of room to spare. I had removed all the drive cages as well as the optical drive cage since I no longer use those. I recommend mounting the SDDs/HDDs (you can mount 2 2.5" drives) right on the PSU Cage so that everything is nice and compact and easy to manage cables since you can hide the extra cables and extra length of used PSU cords in the PSU Cage. There's also room for additional 2 2.5" drives on the case-bottom as well as a few (maybe 2?) on the case side door.

Bitfenix Prodigy mITX Mini-ITX Tower Case Midnight Black 1X5.25EXT 5X3.5INT No PS Top USB3.0 Audio
Cons:It arrived looking like it was a USED case. The side panel was scratched, like it had been taken off MANY times, there was traces of dust all over the case, what even looked like a piece of cat or dog fur. It almost made me want to send it back, but the person I was building it for thought it was OK. Also the hard drive cage was wedged in half ways on and halfway out. The top part was in properly, but the bottom half looked like it was hastely smashed in.I know it's seperate, but I also bought a windowed side panel for this case and it too looked used. There was a few scratches and some finger prints on the case even though it was lined with a piece of plastic. and it also didn't fit properly. It was as if it was bent. It didn't line up like original side panel did. It was kind of concave, not too much, but enough to tell that it was curving inwards.

Pros:Perfect size, looks great, love the feel of the soft touch finish, fits all the components I need and the airflow is decent.
Comment:
It's functionality is great, aesthetics are amazing and it was just right for the performance I wanted to use in that small size. I didn't like how the case seemed 2nd hand. If it is refurbished or is an open box, please say so. I KNOW I didn't click on any "open box" 'button, and I never will. I don't buy 2nd hand anything.I would have returned both the side panel and the case, but I don't want to waste my time, or theirs.Had the case come perfect with zero scratches, dust and fur, I would have easily given it a 5 out of 5 stars. It deserves that rating, but I'm not sure if it's Bitfenix, NCIX or shipping to blame. I'm not impressed. I ordered 3 other cases (Bitfenix Ghost, Bitfenix Outlaw and Bitfenix Survivor) from NCIX and those came perfect, but **** happens sometimes I guess. If this happens again, I'm sending it right back.

Cons:Placement of "front" mounted controls.

Pros:AppearanceConstructionComponent layoutNumber/configuration of HD baysHandles full-length dual-slot video cardsGood airflowVery quiet fans
Comment:
This case is simply stunning looking and it's constructed as well as it looks. All of the internal metal edges are finished and the entire thing is powder coated, inside and out.The unusual component layout is great, the mother board sits horizontally above the power supply which is able to draw air in from beneath the system and vent it out the back which keeps all the PS heat out of the case. The layout also allows the use of simply massive CPU coolers along with very flexible arrangements for your choice of numerous 3.5" and 2.25" hard drives/SSDs. All that while allowing room for installation of a full-length dual-slot video card. The case comes with two 120mm fans, one pulling air in at the front and one pushing air out at the back. The case is drilled to accept larger fans at the front and rear if you so desire, it also designed to have two fans installed in the top of the case. If you're into overclocking there is a tremendous amount of space above the motherboard to install the cooling system of your choice. As long as you're satisfied with a single video card this case is a power user's dream. The only thing I don't like about the case is the side mounted power button, power LEDs, USB and audio ports. Esthetically it's great but the problem is that since the side of the case is removable you have to be careful removing it or you risk ripping cables out of the motherboard. Overall I'd give the case about a 4.9 out of five, and if you don't like black it comes in a number of other colours.

Cons:Bigger than I imagined for an ITX

Pros:Looks nice, has a good setup package, roomy.
Comment:
This is a very nice looking case, it's roomy (bigger than I imagined sadly), you can see they planned for its users to either build a custom NAS or gaming rig out of it. There's a removable tray for the HDD and enough space for a large GPU card. The power supply and motherboard have ample space however be careful when selecting the PSU... keep the dimensions in mind. If you decide to remove all those HDD trays in favor of room for something else there's a suggested setup in the manual to tuck some SSDs or 2.5 inch HDD in little nooks near the PSU or the side panel. I may decide to build another system with a future prodigy some day.

Cons:BIG (for mITX), bad PSU area design, plastic-feeling handles

Pros:Nice looking
Comment:
I have a Shuttle mITX system and bought this second foray into mITX because I wanted a case that would last longer than the motherboard, and the Shuttle case is so tailored to its motherboards, I'm not certain an alternate mITX board will fit in it when the time comes. I'm not entirely happy with this new case, however.1. It's BIG. I was shocked when I compared it to an old mid tower case - though it is shorter, it is also much wider (to accommodate the mITX board horizontally) and almost as deep. In volume it is almost mid-tower sized and actually takes up more desk/floor space than the tower! Compared to the Shuttle it's monstrous. I like the case, but if you are looking for a mini case (as opposed to a case that accommodates a mITX board) this may not be the one.2. Even with all that space, the PSU area is too tight for a 160mm deep power supply. The opening at the back is offset so the cables can't be run straight through. So there is no choice but to bend the PSU wiring at 90 degrees within less than an inch of space and run then out the sides. A Bitfenix video shows this, explaining that "It's OK the severely bend the cables." That sounds like a patch - the PSU area should have enough space for a decent PSU (especially since you can load the case up with more than a half a dozen HDs.)3. The plastic "handles" at the top seem flimsy. If you do load this up with HDs, video card and a cooler, it's going to be pretty heavy, and I don't get the feeling the "handles" will hold up. If Bitfenix were to argue they are not handles, I'd say they should be, and should be designed as such. It's just too tempting to pick up the box that way.In short, nice case, but not really a small case, and feels a bit beta.

Cons:Some awkward screw locations for installing Mobo.

Pros:Awesome overall design. I especially like the SSD pockets on the side panels.
Comment:
I love this box, except for one thing. The XFX 650W PSU is a little too long for the available space so the cables get squashed... The available holes, while excellently placed, are 1/2" off from the bundle coming out of the PSU, so I'll have to widen the hole with a Dremel. However, if you are using a "normal" PSU it would probably fit fine.

Cons:S&H is a bit much, 1 USB 3.0 Connection looks off?

Pros:Not a bad price, arrived faster than expected, was in stock!
Comment:
So I open it up and I see that the bottom USB 3.0 port looks a little out of place, like it was mounted off a cm or two. I'm putting the build together soon and it would be very disappointing if that port was broken. My order was received a day early, awesome! I would hate to have to swap out my side panel due to improper manufacturing/handling. Other than that I'm happy!

Comment:
I have done several itx builds in several cases and I've always preferred the smaller options such as the m350 or the isk-300, but the pictures of the Prodigy caught my eye, so I decided to try one out.I was expecting a case that was large for mini-ITX. What I got was a case that is just plain large. The footprint of this thing is wider than a standard ATX case, and roughly as deep. It's height is the one savings compared to a standard mid-tower case.Unlike most itx cases, which focus on maximum space savings, Bitfenix has apparently made no effort to present a compact ideal with the Prodigy, which I find a little puzzling in an itx-only chassis.I like the Prodigy aesthetic very much, and performance-wise it seems to be fine, but I'm having a hard time imagining what niche Bitfenix is attempting to fill with this. I find nothing at all wrong with this product, especially at its current price, but as far as form factor, I have to admit that I just don't get it.

Bitfenix Prodigy mITX Mini-ITX Tower Case Midnight Black 1X5.25EXT 5X3.5INT No PS Top USB3.0 Audio
Cons:There are few & far between, as far as my experience goes. Most could complain that it is nearing the size of a mini-atx case, which is actually a bit of a stretch of the truth. You could, but it takes much modding to do so, and there really isn't any space left for drives at all. In my experience, the only downsides I could find, were very minor issues like an ever so slight scuff on the plastic of the face plate on the silver trim ring around the mesh. One that is well hidden by it being in place, and completely a non-issue as I was painting mine anyway. The other being the much complained about handles/feet being a little on the soft side. It's more of an issue w/ the feet, as it does lead to a little instability on carpet from what I understand. Not an problem as far as I'm concerned, due to mine sitting on my desk (I have too much airflow to sit mine on the carpet/floor). But... I can see where those that have complained about it would have a reason to in those specific circumstances. Other than this, note that w/o modding the mobo tray/stand, a 140mm power supply is much easier to work with in the limited space available. However, with a nice cut out on the front side of the mobo tray/stand, you can certainly mount a sufficient psu capable of powering anything & everything you could throw into this case with no problem.Be advised: If you do mod this case to suit your needs, the easiest to find replacements for the specialized tapered flat top rivets Bitfenix uses during assembly, can be found at a local hobby shop. Tapered flat 4-40 screws & lock nuts fit it perfectly. The other, is that Bitfenix does not sell replacement parts at all. So take care not to mess up whilst modding the case!

Pros:Great case for a high powered m-itx build, with plenty of space for full size video cards. Can be fitted with as many as 10 drives (5) 3.5" HDD's, & (5) 2.5" HDD/SSD's for huge data storage potential. Very useful for those interested in mini server/htpc applications. The prodigy is also a great case for modding, and highly configurable in it's original state, to suit your storage needs right out of the box. I've owned a few Lian Li cases over the years, and Bitfenix's execution is very, very close to the same quality as Lian Li's fabrication work. The internal design is very well thought out and easy to work with, especially concerning modding the case. Very impressive for a relative newcomer to the industry. Well done ladies & gents! *Tips hat to the Bitfenix crew* In fact, I am impressed enough, to where I ordered a second for an HTPC build as well.

Cons:Had some minor defects on the grills (front and the top fan filter)Not big enough cut outs for PSU wiring.

Pros:Very nice looking case
Comment:
This is a very nice looking case, I can sit all day just looking at it.I had some minor defects with the grills, front of the case and the fan filter up top. When I ran my hand on the side of them, there where some soft-steel-wires coming out of it?Another issue is that trying to put a non-modular PSU and having it fit was more than a normal task. The 24 pin PSU cable was on an angle, and hitting against the steel cage in the front of the PSU, making it hard to fit inside the case. If Bitfenix had made a slightly larger cut out in the front of the cage there, the 24pin would of been able to go through, not on an angle but straight through, and not hit against the cage. (Hope you know what I mean)All in all, good looking case, would recommend!

Cons:- Side panel motherboard headers, disks come off with the panel, making it a pain to take off the side panel with the power button

Pros:- Roomy, no obstructions for CPU heat sink or DRAM heat spreaders- Slide-in drive rails make installing HDDs simple- 3.5" drive bays have space between the drives to allow decent airflow- No backplane for the 3.5" drives (fewer connectors, shorter connections to SATA ports)
Comment:
I used this case to build a Windows Home Server box. It does its job well. I didn't have any quality complaints that some of the other reviews mention, but maybe I just got lucky. It is not as small as some other mini-ITX cases, but it is reasonable for what I need. I could do without the wacky plastic fins, but they do come in handy when the box is sitting on carpet, to keep airways clear. My biggest gripe with the case is that the power button and USB ports on the side panel come off with the panel, and the cables are short enough that I need to remove the motherboard connectors if I want to take the panel off (time consuming, and I worry that these things are not the most sturdy wires/connectors and that doing this a bunch would break something). I also have a 2.5" SSD installed in one of the bays on the side panel, but the SATA and power cables are long enough that that can stay connected.Fortunately, I don't need to remove that side panel to do most things. The case is wide enough that you can mount the 3.5" drives such that they slide out the other side of the case and that their connectors are facing the non-power-button side of the case, so swapping storage drives does not need the power-button panel removed.Pay attention to the depth of your power supply with this case. There are recommended dimensions on the Bitfenix site. I used a SeaSonic S12II 430B, and it fits, but there is not really room to spare. There are some spots on either side of the power supply that work well for tucking the extra connections away.I'd give it 5 stars if the power button/USB ports/audio ports were on the front panel, or if removing the side panel did not require disconnecting the motherboard headers.

Pros:Solid metal constructionPlenty of space for everything including oversized video cards
Comment:
This case is very solid and is very expandable which is nice. It offers great features for someone looking to build a gaming ITX computer, but is pretty impractical for anything else. Ex... if you're going to make a mini NAS / Server there are much smaller more compact options out there than this. The main selling point is that this is an ITX case that can accommodate a full 13+" dual slot graphics card and lots of cooling. The main gripe I have about this case is the quality of the build. The plastic handles are a nice touch, but in hind sight they are not well executed. The edges are very sharp when picking up the case and the rounded shape on the bottom means the case rocks a little when nudged. The biggest deal breaker about this case was when I picked it up to transport my new computer, opened it up, and saw that the plastic mounting holes for the handles were cracked broken. I was literally holding a $1500 computer on the stairs by a couple mm of cracked / broken plastic. This is not acceptable. I do not want anyone to build a new computer only to find out they dropped it down a flight of stairs when the handles fail. BITFENIX FIX THIS!Stick to more reliable brands, if you want a performance ITX go with the Silverstone SG08
