COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+
Cons:Relatively large compared to stock cooler

Pros:Inexpensive, quiet, effective cooling, optional second fan can be used
Comment:
Slightly loud when under full load but most of the time super silent. I attached a second fan to mine. Device is quite large and just fits around my other components. Haven't tried overclocking my Intel i5 yet, but stock cooling is very effective. Great deal especially when on sale for less that $30. I've seen this cooler mentioned in many magazines and reviews and it is always highly rated.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+
Cons:Included fan 'ticks'.Not same quality as e.g. Thermalright.Bare copper parts, no plating.

Pros:Cheap.Performance.Can use any 120mm fan.
Comment:
Installation was OK. Instructions are clear enough.Good value for money.Swapped the included fan for a Nexus quiet orange fan.3570K idles at 8C above ambient, load at ~40C above ambient with the Nexus at 1160 RPM.Rear bracket was slightly mis-aligned with the holes on the motherboard (one leg may be slightly bent). This made the fourth spacer bolt more difficult to get in than it should have been.Rear nuts are loose and not incorporated in the rear bracket, so one hand is needed on each side of the board during initial installation.

Cons:Nothing

Pros:Nice CPU cooler Keeps Phenom II x4 965 cool
Comment:
Nice CPU cooler Keeps Phenom II x4 965 cool with a 3.8GHz OC, Can OC to around 4GHz but I am not very good with OC.

Cons:large (could be a good thing)

Pros:quietgreat heat disapprobation
Comment:
Could be a bad mobo design, but the fan is overhanging the RAM slot closest to the CPU. I will not be able to install a high profile RAM unless I move the fan to the other side as a pull configuration. I have the ASUS P8Z77-v lk mobo

Cons:none so far

Pros:Keeps my i5-3570k very cool even when overclockedFor it's size, it does a very good job
Comment:
I used to own a Scythe Ninja heatsink, which was massive and made it nearly impossible to work with my motherboard once it was mounted to the case. This 212 EVO heatsink does a very good job and leaves lots of space to work with. My i5 temperatures do not pass 60 degrees C when playing BF3.

Cons:Large, difficult installation

Pros:Cools very well
Comment:
Instructions were not very clear. Installation is difficult in an already put together case. The fan is very quiet and keeps stock clocked i5 around 30 C idle. The cooler is pretty big, almost didn't fit in my case.

Cons:A little bit tricky to install

Pros:Nice cooling for a cheap price
Comment:
Keep in mind it was my first time installing a new CPU heatsink, even after reading the instructions I found it rather difficult to get it on correctly but after about 10 minutes of fustration I managed to do it properly heh.I bought it when it was on sale for 27.99$ and for the price (even now) it's a really good purchase. Keeps my 3770k nice and cool. I'd highly recommend it for someone who wants better cooling for a good price (the stock heatsinks on intel CPU's are quite terrible).

Dont know if its installed exactly right but its not doing a much better job than the stock cooler, also when first mounting it was a pain and i almost destroyed my MOBO trying to remove it, if it works id say it was amazing but having all these troubles not so much.

Cons:sizeinstallation

Pros:Priceperformance
Comment:
As a CPU cooler newbie I found this cooler a bit tricky to install but it was fairly straight forward after reading through the instructions carefully. Once installed I had some clearance issues with my motherboard because the fan stuck out and interfered with my RAM. Once I had it installed i booted up my system and ran a stress test and wow am I impressed with the performance of this thing. My CPU runs very cool. for the price, I couldn't be happier.

Cons:Almost didn't fit in z9 plus case, a pain to install if you've never used the mounting bracket system or motherboard mount before.

Pros:Fairly quietGreat air flowKeeps things nice and cool
Comment:
Using on a stock i3570k mounted in a zalman z9 plus case with 7 120mm fans, with an ambient temperature of 21 degrees the chip idles at 28 degrees, under prime95 load test reaches 59 degrees max. More than happy with the performance of this cooler.

Comment:
This is the third 212 ive used paired with the i5 2500k, and they have been great each time. The fan does sometimes interfere with the ram slots, but its easy to adjust it up a little.I have been able to get the 2500k to 4.5 and 4.2ghz stable with good temps, around 50 degrees c on load. I realize without context that doesnt mean much, but still.I would keep using this cooler for sure.

Cons:very largeinstructions could be better

Pros:Performance:price ratio is great.
Comment:
Installed on a 3570k. This cools very well and is inexpensive. At 4.2 ghz (I have not tried higher yet) My hottest core hits ~60, I can see that climbing a bit in the summer months tho. friend with same setup hits close to 70 while running prime at 4.5. Much better than the stock intel cooler. This thing is huge tho, may be an issue with some ram configurations. I had to relocate my side panel fan.I give this five stars, but if it cost more I would reduce that to 4.Overall a great cooler for the price.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+
Cons:probably not enough heatsink area to deal with a maximum OC with an ivy bridge cpu

Pros:performance, build quality, mounting hardware, inexepensive
Comment:
Switched out my old scythe zipang for this unit on my OC'd, and aging q9550. BF3 temps were a concern with the zipang even with the upgraded noiseblocker fan i had on it. hovering around 68-70C after an hour or so playing, now with the 212 temps sit at 55c at their hottest, and with a 100mhz higher overlock than before. 4.1ghz y1.34v. Very impressed how quickly this thing sheds heat as well, temperature drop  is nearly instant when cpu load drop s where as the zipang would take serveral minutes to perform the same drop . Only concern is that i'll have to upgrade to a more susbstantial heatsink in the future if i want to get close to 4.8ghz from an ivy bridge or haswell later on down the road, something with much more surface area to avoid heat-soaking like the hyper 612, or noctua dh14.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+
Cons:Cheap looking thermal paste.

Pros:Solid design, inexpensive
Comment:
Computer was overheating because of BF3 and this cooler resolved it. Fan is relatively quiet and the design of the base is better than the older Evo plus model. Installation was relatively painless. I first installed the thermal paste by trying to apply it evenly over the processor, but I ended up having heating issues. When i went to reseat the heatsink, I noticed that this method of applying thermal paste wasn't very efficient. Some parts of the heatsink base didn't even touch the CPU. Instead, I applied a small rice-sized portion of thermal grease over the CPU and have noticed better temperatures since. Also note, that if your motherboard only has 1 PWM port and you have another case fan you want to control, you must use the adapter part of the Evo's cord.
