COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:documentation, little bit too large for case

Pros:drops temp nicely on a i2600 with intel board
Comment:
This is the first time I have tried an aftermarket cooler. How was I supposed to know the backplate went on the BACK of the motherboard. Why don't these manufacturers supply pictures instead of their crummy diagrams?

Comment:
Why did it alter the game? 1 word. Cost! Previously high good quality CPU coolers ran ์ usd to over 贄 dollars, but this unit makes CPU coolers "uncool" again, as this standard item just works and no want to stare at graphs or benches anymore. This sets a new cheapo standard and reduces the requirements for high-priced coolers. Pros:- 120mm PWM fan- Fan clips for effortless removal, cleaning, fan replacement- Optional clips for 2nd 120mm fan (can further reduce temps by two to five degrees C - YMMV)- copper heatpipes- smooth mounting surface, near mirror finish lapping not necessary.- Overclocks sandybridge K cpus from four to 4.9 Ghz- 1155 and 1156 socket compatible- four pin fan power cable- even pressure mounting design- No distracting LED lights- Hyper but without the Hype! Can't think of any genuine cons. Doesn't light up like a alien ship. No anodized fin colors. Will not permit room for a ram cooler, but it might be unnecessary depending on your mobo. On my Asus P8P67 the ram slots sit appropriate in front of the first fan. This is a great old adage. Preserve it basic and it works! Have my 212+ with additional fan on a Asus P8P67 Pro mobo with 8 GB Ripjaw 1600s. The fan touches the ram slots, but does not impede installation. Some individuals are posting temps, but if I recall correctly it takes like a 100 hours for Artic Silver to cure, then you need to see further temp improvement. Stared at the mirrored finish for a hour deciding if lapping was necessary. Its so smooth I didn't feel it was necessary. The push/pull configuration is just awesome. Use any additional 120mm fan laying around. Coolermaster has won me back! I'm rocking the 2500k processor and under heavy load im averaging lower 40ish C temps

Cons:- Bigger than I expected

Pros:- Low cost- Works well
Comment:
I was looking for an aftermarket cooler as I haven't had the best experience with stock cooling solutions. So I got this one on sale with my last build. It works fine. Seems to be better than stock. Only note I have is that this was bigger than I expected! Good thing I have a big case.

Cons:Huge! Better have a BIG case or it isn't going to fit!

Pros:nice quiet 120mm fan, great for overclocking, just keeping it cool when converting videos, 3D gaming etc.

Best cooler for the money! OCed my C2D E8400 to 4GHz with this cooler and it didn't even break a sweat! Nice and quiet and keeps me running at about 50c no matter what I happen to be doing!

Cons:None (its pretty big but its really not a concern unless you have a tiny case)

Pros:For the price, you can't beat it period.

One of the best purchases I made on my new build. Glad I went with this instead of liquid cooling. I have read tons of reviews and benchmarks. Buy this, you won't be sorry,

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:backplate installation, almost too Tall for my case

Pros:cool and quiet
Comment:
nice big tower cooler, quiet, and works good once getting the backplate installed (AM3). Almost doesn't fit in my Coolermaster Elite 350 midtower ATX case. (the tops of the heatpipes touch the side panel door by a hair).keeps my temps nice while running at 3.8GHz (50's max while 3D rendering at 100%).

Cons:mounting bracket

Pros:Great bang for your buck and excellent cooling.
Comment:
This is a great little cooler for the price and it's very efficient in a Push/Pull configuration. I did find the bracket a little annoying but it is what it is. Overall one of the best I have had and will buy again on next build.

Slapped this in with the SycleFlow fans 2 of them for push pull and got impressive cooling temps, 955BE e 4GHz max OCCT Temps around 50c. If you are looking for a good priced aftermarket cooler, this will do fine.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:-stock fan is kind of loud on max

Pros:-best bang for buck tower heatsink-cheap when on sale-allow any orientation mounting (N/S/E/W) on AMD motherboards versus other tower heatsinks that can only be mounted North/South on AMD boards.-comes with 2 sets of fan clips so you can 2x 120mm fans-performs within 2-3*C of heatsinks costing 3-4x as much when using the same fan.
Comment:
Best bang for buck tower style heatsink by far. It performs nearly as well as some $60-80 heatsinks when testing with the same fan. One of the few heatsink that allows N/S/E/W orientation on AMD motherboards (lots of tower heatsinks only allow N/S mounting on AMD boards). I would definitely buy this again for any new build along with 2 quieter 120mm fans because the stock fan is not that quiet on max power.

Comment:
Simple installation and fantastic cooling. Can add an additional fan for a push-pull configuration for even additional cooling. Excellent for mild overclocking. Worth the income spent. Incredibly tall cooler that can prohibit installation in some smaller circumstances. Check your clearance above your cpu in your case ahead of you obtain this cooler.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Installation -- see summary

Pros:Cools the processor quite well
Comment:
I have to give this a 3-star rating due to the very frustrating time I had trying to install this on a Gigabyte 870A-UD3. I may have been doing something wrong, but it was almost impossible to press each corner down to screw into the base. Took me almost an hour of cursing and swearing...just glad I didn't toss it out the window. Other than the incredibly hard time installing, it performs just as well as the reviews. Keeping my Phenom II 955 at 3.4GHz under 40C at all times, even when gaming.

Removed from my old core2duo E6850 and bolted proper up to my Asus P67 board. Keeps my o/c i5-2500k at 30C idleናC load @ four.43Ghz. No issues altering over boards, just make positive to keep the little adapter that comes for the nuts for your backplate. truly? if you're considering any other cooler in the sub 贄 range you should have rode the short bus, this is amazing! Don't listen to all the "you have to apply the thermal paste a specific way posts" put a dime size portion of thermal paste on the center of your processor and bolt this baby up. EZ breezy. Included thermal paste working fantastic

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:- Absolute pain to set up and to maintain over time- Way too bulky

Pros:- Great value- Cools down my i7 920 much better than the stock heat-sink did - Quiet- Comes with thermal paste and fan
Comment:
I use this heat-sink with a i7 920 OC'd to 3491MHz (174.6 x 20) and the CPU idles at 32 degrees Celsius, with each core idling at 46 degrees (keeping in mind that this is in a hot room - around 23 degrees - and in the summer). So the cooling is good, and the product is cheap (relative to other heat-sinks). However, the time it took to set this up took far too long. The heatpipe is extremely tall and practically touches the side of my case. Maintaining the thermal paste over time is a nightmare as the screws holding the heat-sink down are very VERY hard to loosen. Not because it is on too tight, but rather because the mount under the screw will rotate as you loosen the screw, making for a very VERY frustrating experience that has scratched 4 holes in my 300 dollar motherboard (which is still operational, but still).Overall, I don't think I can rate this any lower than 4 considering that it does it's job well, and it has incredible value. But the process of installing/removing may be too frustrating for some.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:~Huge

Pros:~Decent cooler
Comment:
This is a decent cooler. I added the front fan from my HAF912 to this cooler in push pull configuration. With two fans this cooler rocks, my i5-2500k stays around 30 on idle and 40-45 on load. Make sure your case is wide enough to fit this heatsink. A motherboard cutout on your case should be helpful in installing this if you are thinking of upgrading your stock cooler.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Comment:
Keeps the cpu cool like no other cooler ive had prior to.Quiet. With my present fan placement, it blocks the initial ram slot. The instructions it came with are bad. Now the way i have the fan set up, it blocks my very first ram slot, but i can alter that if i ever want to add far more. Also, don't bother with the directions it comes with, use the instructional video on new egg, and installing will be effortless.
