COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Big, you need a large Case. It stands some 6 1/2"

Pros:Cool & Quiet
Comment:
Dropped my 940 Phenom II temp. from 35c(95f) to 24c(87f)at idle, and I don't think it's moved under load ? I sprung for the extra Cooler Master fan(Blade Master 120)cost almost as much as the heatsink & fan, but I'd do it again, it was worth it!Make sure you have the case for this puppy !

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Included fan is noticable when the CPU ramps up, cases with top-mounted PSUs may need slight modification.

Pros:Great cooling, very inexpensive.
Comment:
A great heat-sink/fan combo, and is considerably quieter than the stock fan that came with my Phenom II X2 920. If your case has a PSU that's top-mounted with a fan on its bottom, you may need to make a plate to keep the PSU fan from sucking air away from the CPU fan. Other coolers may be quieter, but for the money this is hard to beat!

Cons:Installation is a pain, bad instructions

Pros:Price, Value
Comment:
For $24 I don't think you can do better. It keeps my i7 2600k under 70 degrees at 4.7ghz no problem. Sure there are better coolers, but not for under $25

Pros:-Easy setup-Build quality-Inexpensive

This beast gets the job done and that's all I need especially for the 2k series I5 chips which run unbelievably cool anyway.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:-thermal grease it comes with seems decent, probably not the best quality-heatsink is quite big

Pros:-great price for $20 on sale, excellent budget cpu cooler-combined with my new Antec 900 gamer case, helped reduce cpu temp by 15-20 C
Comment:
Got this during boxing day week on sale for $20, this combined with a Antec 900 gaming case helped reduce my temps by 15-20 C on a OC e6600 so I'm very happy with the results. The only problem I came across was that the heatsink was a tiny bit too big for me to put on my case side fan. I actually had to trim off one corner of the fan with a router bit at my work to be able to close the case with the side fan.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:The heat sink tends to vibrate a lot when the stock fan reaches maximum rpm.

Pros:Excellent cooling performances at this price range. Cools down my q6600(3Ghz) to 25 idle and 45 max as apposed to the stock fan 40 idle and 75 max.
Comment:
In summary, this is the best I can find around this price range. For less than 30 bucks, I don't think you can find much other ones better than this. The stock fan is really really loud when running at 2k rpm and causes lots of vibration. A replacement fan may greatly increase its performance.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Huge. Mounting took some figuring out.

Pros:Great value, can take 2 fans.
Comment:
Excellent cooling ability, well worth the $20. 1 fan is keeping my 905e at 35C load at 3.5GHz 1.3v.The thing barely fits in my case; 1-2cm more height and the side cover wouldn't be able to close. The included fan overhangs 2 ram slots and sticks with big heatsinks wouldn't fit.Printed instruction manual could have been more verbose; website has outdated manual / video / pictures compared to what was actually inside the box.

Pros:Inexpensive.Easy to install.Excellent cooling.Quiet.

Good cooling great price. Just barely fit in my case, another millimeter or two and I would have had to cut holes for the ends of the heat pipes.

Cons:not very easy to install, bulky

Pros:inexpensive, keeps things cool
Comment:
I found that even though this item was priced aggressively, and kept my system cool - it was a big pain to install. For some reason the instructions were not very intuitive. I'm no expert but these things should be fairly straight forward. I recommend for someone who knows what they are doing.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Might be too tall for side fan cases.

Pros:Massive cooling and great value even not on sale
Comment:
I bought this on sale and seems to be highly recommended. No issues with overclocking i5-760 but I had to remove the side fan on my Azza Helios 910 to get this monster to fit. It's about an inch too big if you ask me.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:can't really think of any, it was $19.95 on sale, but I would have paid $29.95

Pros:great design, silent, easy to install
Comment:
I recently purchased an E7500 that I got up to 3.6ghz at 1.28vcore on my old E4300's heatsink which was bigger than the stock E7500 heatsink. It would hit 65C playing games, 80 when doing cpu benchmarksIn short:stock intel fan = 3.6ghz b 1.28vcore = 80degrees under 8k prime95 torture test, 65 gaming, 35 idlehyper 212 plus = 4ghz b 1.41 vcore = 55 degrees under 8k prime95 torture test, 45 gaming, 22 idle a vast improvement for 30 bucks! and it was much easier to install than my old zalman alcu flower design heatsink. It took about 30 minutes to take my case apart, clean it, mount the hyper 212 plus and put it back together again and boot it up:)

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:-None, i guess it would be not having included the second fanbut come on. Atleast it provided a 2nd Vibration Foam Rubber

Pros:-Cooling More Temp. Per Dollar-Quite Easy to install
Comment:
The cooling is unbelievable, i was looking for a budget fan and this does more then i expected. Running this on a E660, which i overclocked by 30% and not even a change in temperature. The setup was quite easy once you know what part is for what, the guide could've used more diagrams but hey its a learning exp. The screws have to go in a specific way where the flat meet the flat edges.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:-Huge, do your research, may not fit well in every case

Pros:-Huge cooling capacity for price(19.99 weekly sale)-Quiet enough-Can be used across multiple sockets-Huge
Comment:
Wont repeat all thats been said in all the other reviews, just brute amount of cooling for half the price of other brand name coolers. Using on a C2 stepping X4 965, overclocked, PWM fan does not even need to speed up. Is quite tall, watch your clearance on cases with side fans!

Pretty much every other review has gone over the best and worst of this item. The only thing I can add is when I opened the box I couldn't find the backplate. It was underneath the inner cardboard liner. I am just glad I don't throw my boxes away immediately.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Poor quality control and packaging

Pros:Good cooling performance
Comment:
When I first got this, I found that stuff inside the box were flying around and making noise when I was just holding the box. Upon installation, I found out that one of the nut given was wrong and didn't fit the screw. Tried to email cooler master and didn't get any response. Luckily I found a nut that fit and proceed with the installation, but I still expect them at least reply me or mail me a good one. I'll see if NCIX will exchange it for me or just give me a nut, since I don't want to pull everything out again.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:- if you're not careful, the OS will fubar itself- thermal grease isn't the best, get a better kind

Pros:- reduces heat greatly compared to stock coolers- fits both kinds of cpus (Intel/AMD)
Comment:
bought this to upgrade the AMD stock cooler on my Athlon II X4 635 and good grief was it a nightmare, for one you likely will have to unplug everything, and take out the mobo itself so you can mount the rear bracket to the back of the mobo, then you have to really be careful to stick the cooler and mount it properly on the cpu (btw, I suggest getting some Arctic Cooling MX-2 thermal grease instead of the included crap, much better stuff)my friend who installed this managed to completely **** the OS up installing this, when booting back up after the install Windows 7 gave the dreaded 'BootMgr is Missing' error and we spent 5 solid hours trying to fix it to no avail, thus I had to spend 15 hours reinstalling and recustomizing the OS back to normal since we had to reinstall windows 7 on top of the former install.overall this is a good product, it lowers the temperatures from a stock by 30 or so degrees (celisus or w/e), (42-46 down to 12-16, 24 tops when gaming heavily) but the install is a nightmare, good value still though, picked this up PM'ed down to 21 bucks.recommended but only if you ABSOLUTELY know what you're doing.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Included thermal grease is not nearly as efficient as aftermarket solutions, Machining of heat pipes and block requires excessive grease application

Pros:Super easy to install,Great value when on sale, Included fan provides acceptable performance,Excellent cooling capacity that matches or comes close to heatsinks that are much more expensive
Comment:
I bought this on sale for a rig I built for a friend. I found this heat sink fairly easy to install but do agree with other reviewers that the instructions aren't the most clear. The included thermal grease does the trick but other aftermarket solutions perform much better ( See: Arctic Cooling MX-2). The machining of the heat sink block could be improved so that heat pipes are completely flush with block. You must apply excess grease into the grooves for complete contact with the processor ( the purpose of grease is to fill nanoscale pores in the heatsink metal so that there is no air between the heatsink and processor, not large grooves or gaps as this is less efficient than metal on metal contact). The fan is adequate if a bit on the loud side. Push pull configuration does provides some improvement in performance but the added cost of the additional fan would make me lean towards other coolers in the 40$ price range if the hyper 212+ is not on sale.
