COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Huge

Pros:Price, Price, and great performance
Comment:
This cooler keeps my CPU nice and cold even under heavy gaming! Make sure you check that it will fit your case before buying this cooler or you will be disappointed.Works great in a NZXT Hades, if you remove the side fan which isn't really needed with this cooler working.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:contact surface is not polished

Pros:easy installationnot heavycheapup to 2 fans
Comment:
on sale for 20 bucks, very good deal for a competent cooler. I bought it for my Core2 Quad Q9450 LGA775 to replace the Vendetta2. the fan that comes with it is very good, I set it to silent in the bios and added another 120mm 800rpm fan to pull so the whole setup is very quiet. The installation is easy compare to others I had to deal with in the past. the instruction is good enough. I didn't use the thermal compound, instead I used MX2. the surface is not smooth, the first time I didn't use enough so the contact is incomplete and the max temp were high around 63c. after reapplying the compound, this time thicker. I was able to lower the temp to 53c during load.the fans are attached using a clip system which is alot easier than other methods I've seen before.Realtemp and Prime95 at max heat.48c, 51c, 53c, 53c

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Socket pins are confusing to adjust

Pros:Cheap. Performs well for something that is so cheap
Comment:
This comes with all sorts of mounting hardware for every socket imaginable. It's fantastic. Easy to install the fans, especially compared to my OCZ vendetta 2. Comes with all the hardware to mount a second fan for even better cooling too.Adjusting the positioning of the pins is a pain however. You have to pull on the spring to get it to move, but the manual doens't really help explain that. I had to google it. This review was modfied by poster @ 12-08-10 03:11 PM

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:- Horrible instructions

Pros:- Good performance-Option for dual fans if wanted-Good Value
Comment:
Bought this a couple days ago and installed it on a i5 760. The installation was extremely difficult and complicated as the instructions were absolutely horrible and it was my first build. For users who have already have experience installing heat sinks it would probably be fine, but without experience the instructions are almost useless. It is a lot bigger then I thought and is sort of ugly but in terms of performance, it is running very well. Running temperatures around 20 C idle w/o any over clocking. Good price and value

Cons:None that I have found on performance. Only the instructions are not very good.

Pros:Great bargain at $20 on sale, so if upgrading from stock this would be an excellent buy. Very good cooling because its huge. Ability to add a second fan.
Comment:
Installed to cool a AMD x2 555(unlocked)and is cooling about 5-7 degrees from stock on average. Nice looking unit.

Pros:Affordable, better than the stock cooler that intel provided
Comment:
I bought this fan on sale at $19.99 upon the recommendation of one of my friends. For a first time build it didn't disappoint, it kept my computer cooler than if I had stayed with the stock cooler that came with my i5-760. All in all I am fairly happy with this purchase.

Cons:The siez is big, but it is fine for mid-case

Pros:Nice and easy to install. I intalled duel fans on it and applied the themo paste and OC. temp is around 44 on my ASUS MB. This is my first build, and worked like a charm.
Comment:
I didnt expect coolermaste to have great products, since this is my first build. I didnt know anything about the heatsinks or water cooling. I bought this, because it is CHEAP. Oh well, it is much better than Intel fan for sure.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:HugeKind of hard to install (maybe I am just bad)Jet engine fan

Pros:Ice cold coolingBest bang for the buckPowerful fan
Comment:
All I can say is this cooler is amazing. It cools my non OC E8400 c 3ghz to 19c idle and well under 30c when loaded. The bad thing is the fan is blowing so strong my case sound like a jet engine. I had to adjust the fan to 60% to quiet it down. Right now running an OC'ed E8400 c 3.6 ghz well under 40c, loaded.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Very lousy instructions... youtube has videos that help immensely.

Pros:Very easy to remove fan.
Comment:
Great fan. Fits nicely into the case without needing to figure out how to cut holes in the side. Dropped the CPU temps by 10 degrees C. You need to remove the CPU back plate which means you have to take the motherboard out of the case. I'm not sure if it's tight enough and haven't figured out if the little nut just above the CPU actually does anything if you turn it.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:- Doesn`t work with socket 939 or 940- Poor quality of thermal compound

Pros:+ Great price (got it for 20$, weekly special).+ Good Performance
Comment:
For the price, you won't find anything better. While most reviews on the web mention that this heatsink have the mounting hardware for 939 or 940 CPUs, it does not. I bought the mounting hardware separately (hardware store) and it works like a charm.I have an Opteron 165 (dual core) 1.8Ghz OC to 2.4Ghz.Note: Ncix and CoolerMaster websites are up to date and have the correct information related to the socket compatibility. COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Installation was a bit tricky and tension was difficult to guage. Fan is a bit loud (about same as stock) so replacing it with a Noctua later would be a good idea. The fins are very sharp.

Pros:Dropped the duo core CPU temp by about 10 degrees. Big but fits in most any mid tower case. This cooler and a Noctua fan is still cheaper than just about any other similar performing cooler.
Comment:
Would prefer a nut on the CPU side that's attached to the CPU side tension plate. That way, the bolts can be screwed in from the underside of the motherboard using the included bolt "wrench" (which is a cylinder with a hexagonal bolt head shape drilled into it). This "wrench" needs grooves like thumbscrews for a better grip. Overall pretty good.

Cons:the stock fan is not that good

Pros:great pricegood performance heatsinknice mounting
Comment:
heatsinks of this type are usually $40, $50, got this on sale for $20, works just as good as the expensive ones, the mounting works on many types of cpu's, and has clips to add on 2nd fan, for extra cooling, the stock fan is not good though, i would recommend getting a noctua or a nexus 120mm fan, and it would be excellent heatsink

Cons:Heatsink can move around even after mounting it on top of CPU. Build quality is just okay (expected for the price)May be too tall to fit some cases.

Pros:Cheap, does it's job, installation easy (if you watch youtube video)
Comment:
Brought my i7 950 temps from 50 (stock) to 36 idle and doesn't go above 60 after playing games and slight overclocking.Installation was very easy on Antec 300. Did not have to remove the motherboard because of cutout in the back. Fits well with space leftover for a side fan.Do yourself a favour and watch the youtube installation video because the included instructions are difficult to decipher.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:- Watch out where the fan is facing. It depends on your motherboard to determine which direction your fan is facing. I had to use a large fan on the left side of the chassis to decrease the temperature to -10 c, because the fan faced downwards.

Pros:- Compatible with AMD and Intel motherboards. (Had to put this in because of the requirements of the review).
Comment:
I'm an overclocker. Here are my specs. I have an overclocked Phenom II B55 X4 at 3.5 ghz. 250 mhz at x14 multiplier. Stays great at between 30 - 40 c at full load. Raise it to 250 mhz and it goes past 40 c to around 50 c.I hope this helps considering my specs and fan direction...
