COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Comment:
Ahead of purchasing this cooler, I would have said that I didn't need to have to add a different great critique, but the efficiency was so evening and day, I had to! I have an i5 2500k at present running at stock speedƓ.3ghz). The terrible Intel stock cooler had idle temps of around 40C and after only about six minutes of Prime 95 torture test would leading over 80C, causing me to have to quit it. Immediately after putting this cooler on, my idle temps are nonetheless about the same, on the other hand right after over 30 minutes of "heat oriented" Prime95 test, it never topped 62C. A enormous improvement. The only con is that the cooler fan, if on the memory bank side of my MB, sits over one of the slots of memory. I have a Asus Sabertooth P67 and it's not a issue for me, as I'm utilizing the banks that are further out, but if you wanted to use all four mem banks, it could be an issue. You could put the fan on the other side, but I prefer to have the fan on that side so it blows via the heatsink and out toward my upper exhaust. I was reading some complaints about the installation being challenging and I'm quite baffled by that. I had this cooler up and operating inside 15 minutes of opening the box. Literally. Now, I have the MB cutout that makes it possible for me to mount the bracket without having removing the MB, but even with out that, it would just add time, not make the set up any a lot more challenging. It was incredibly basic and performs exactly as promised. Good cooler and fits effortlessly into my Fractal R3 case.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:-Big, just barely fit into my case and mother board.-Instructions can be confusing but you can find youtube installation tutorials

Pros:Quiet, cools CPU very well, affordable
Comment:
Purchased this to deal with a troublesome AMD Phenom 2 black edition CPU. It would get so hot on medium and high loads, causing the stock fan to speed up to the point where it sounds like a hair dryer. Installed the Cooler Master 212 and it dramatically lowered the temperature. According to speedfan, it looks like it lowered it by 10 degrees on full load!Downside is that it's quite big, and I had to remove one of my case fans on the side panels. No big deal, because now my temperatures are nice and cool throughout. Highly recommend viewing the youtube tutorials on how to install this because the instruction book can be difficult to understand at times

I was real worried about getting this since of all the persons stating it covers the first memory slot but it does not for me. There is a hair among the memory heat sink and fan. If I had a larger heat sink on the memory modules then I would be in problems. I have the G.Talent Ripjaws F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL I have none. Nicely perhaps, I can hear the noise from fan but does not bother me simply because I came from a jet engine sounding Computer to this lol Intel Core i5 2500k (LGA 1155)ASUS P8P67 DELUXE R.3G.Skill Ripjaws 16GB Ɣ x 4GB)DDR3 WD Caviar Black 500GB SATA-six. performs effectively. keeps my cpu cool with only the one particular fan. i have it mounted horizontal so i can maintain my 2 120mm exhaust fans up top rated. idle - 31cLoad - 49c it's a bit large so make positive it will fit in your case. i would suggest to this to everyone. great cooler for the cost. you can usually add a 2nd fan for a push/pull config.

Keeps the cpu incredibly cool. a lot of mounting choices.value. -installing the push fan forced me to move the memory to slots three and 4 on my motherboard. mainly because the push fan sat suitable more than slot 1.-My antec 1200 has a side window fan that I am not able to use due to the fact the cooler sits that close to the side window. -Removed 1 egg since this point is just as well large. i7 2600k runs at 32c in windows. prime 97 didnt go more than 50 after 30minutes. Games run in the low 40's. Making use of True temp GTThis was a very good obtain for a low cost cooler. But it appears undesirable in the case. Not very impressive, other than its Massive size. Its not extremely flashy. If you consider size is going to be an problem. Dont get it.Antec 1200Asus p67 LEIntel Sandy bridge 2600K

This thing is great. I was possessing overheating difficulties with my stock cooler on my Phenom 9850. It was idling at about 50C and under load, it would overheat. I popped this child in, idles at about 30C and hasn't gone more than 47C beneath load. Great. Can't be any much more content with this. None!

This issue keeps my CPU extremely cool. Design and style and set up is incredibly nice and does what its suppose to do. Kinda of massive, but if you want suitable cooling. it has to be. If you strategy on overclocking, your cooling program that came with the CPU will not be capable to handle the heat at a specific point. That's exactly where this comes in. Item is great, like most COOLER MASTER solutions.

Cools incredibly well.Space for an additional 120mm if you're so inclined. Extremely huge. Make positive you have space in your case. The additional mounting brackets you have to put on the motherboard add a bit of time to your build if you're not utilized to that step.Likewise, the direct heat pipe setup can be intimidating if, like me, you're only utilised to applying thermal paste to retail heatsink/fan combos. As lengthy as "cons" list may well be, don't let it detract you from this cooler. If you're developing your own computer, you're used to attempting new factors anyway, and it's fairly tough to mess up if you have at least an intermediate level of understanding. With an MSI P67A-G45 motherboard, i5 2500K CPU and this cooler, it *just* match into my IN WIN Fanqua case, so be aware of its size prior to purchasing.I applied a *thin* line of thermal paste to each and every of the copper pipes producing make contact with with the CPU (more towards the center for the outer two), and then did the classic twist-back-and-forth following I had set it down. You *will* bump it as you are attempting to install the bracket to hold it down. The bracket that screws in and holds the complete rig with each other has a peg that fits into a slot on the aluminum base that tends to make contact with the CPU. That threw me off for a second.Practically quickly OCed my CPU to 4.2 GHz and it's holding steady at 30-40C. Playing ArmA OA it *might* hit 50C.

Fairly simple to install. Comes with a socket that can be employed with a flat head or phillips head screwdriver for tightening down mounting screws. Its quite universal Blocks memory banks on some motherboards. I bought this for my P8P67-Pro and it blocks the very first bank of memory. If you strategy on getting this, I hugely suggest limiting your create to two sticks of ram instead of 4. This way you can use the banks that are not blocked. In my case, I went with 2x 4gig sticks for 8 gigs of ram.

For a seriously low price this heatsink and fan does the job seriously nicely. I saw my temps on my brand new intel i7 cpu go down by 15-20% and even when I use all the cores at 100% it doesn't even get above 65 degrees Celsius at all. The fan is a tiny tricky to get on since there are sharp edges but it is not a deal breaker. You just have to be cautious. If you are arranging to construct a new computer I highly suggest this for your cpu cooler. It is way greater than any stock fan and is a extremely good cost for how substantially it cools. I've had it for virtually a month now and it has been doing it's job properly.

This is my second 212+ (first was on my AMD machine). Great cooler! The option to add a second 'push' or 'pull' fan is fantastic. Nothing out there beats this in value. Just get some good (on sale) TIM and you'll be able to overclock with low temps with ease!

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:the Hyper 212 Evo puts out about 47.1 dBA at full fan speed and whisper quiet at 600RPM (30.0 dBA).

Pros:compatible with Intel socket LGA1366/1155/1156/775 and AMD socket FM1/AM2/AM3 processors
Comment:
The 120mm PWM fan is held in place on the Hyper 212 Evo heatsink with plastic clips. To counteract an unbalanced impeller, which can lead to vibration and rattling noises, small rubber patches are applied to the four corners of the 120mm PWM fan.The Hyper 212 Evo accommodates a fan on either side of the aluminum fin tower. By using the extra fan clips a second 120mm fan can be installed by those that desire a push-pull fan arrangement.Heatsink InstallationCoolermaster's Hyper 212 Evo heatsink is compatible with Intel socket LGA1366/1155/1156/775 and AMD socket FM1/AM2/AM3 processors.

Awesome cooler Frustrating installation Be prepared to take apart your laptop or computer to set up this cpu cooler. My cpu idle temps on the stock amd x6 cooler was about 35 degrees celsius. With this new cooler, my idle temps are about 20 degrees celsius, and roughly 35 on full load. I also coupled this cooler with the Arctic Silver 5 High Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound.I won't complain about how large this cooler is. Just do your investigation just before shopping for to make certain it'll match into your case. My CoolerMaster HAF 932 has about an inch involving the cooler and side case fans.I knocked off an egg due to the installation frustration I encountered.

Cons:-Bad high profile ram compatibility, had to mount vertical.-Not very clear instruction of mounting but figured out after, quite simple after all-Universal backplate is a tight fit.

Pros:-Cheapest Value Heatsink-Rich bundled accessories with heatsink-Strong, sturdy and easy mounting.-Excellent temps, even with my poor thermal grease application with IC7 Diamond (lol)-No bent or damaged fins, had many that had damaged cooling fins.-Ultra silent, 4pin pwm fan.-4 6mm direct contact heatpipes

You can't ask for more with this CPU cooler, best value cooler out there if you want to do some overclocking. Kept my i7 2600K O.C. to 4.6GHz 1.25v around 33c idle. It includes extra fan clips, a hexagonal wrench for you if you don't have one, a miniature tube of thermal grease, 4 anti vibration pads for you to use, the other 4 for the other side of the heatsink with the fan and pads already mounted for you, making my pc dead silent when I bought this for the lanfest to replace my H80 which is being rma'd, but ended up i couldn't play. Really surprised what this cooler brings to the table. Reccommend it to anyone looking for a kickass aftermarket cooler for less!

Comment:
Believe or not, if you install the fan "right", it will touch the ram that is the closet to the CPU on a Z77 board.you will have to adjust the fan (place it higher above the heat-sink)But it is a great choice for OC.
