COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Impinges on 1st memory slot. Requires removal of MB to install backplate on AMD Socket AM3.

Pros:Excellent price. Quiet. Good cooling.
Comment:
Installed this to replace an aging OCZ Vendetta HSF which was starting to show it's age. Requires removal of the stock retention mechanism and backplate so you may have to remove the MB from case. In top to bottom orientation, it may obstruct the memory slot on some baords. Overall an excellent product for the price.

Cons:Nothing

Pros:It works great! I mean awesome! Its size is impressive!Has a mounting plate and sits solid tight!
Comment:
What can I say. This is the first one of these I have bought and man am I impressed what $25 bucks got me. First off, this this is pretty big, far bigger then I expected! Second, it's quiet! And most important it works great! Put this on a 3570K and the processor temps barely budge at stock clocks!

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:None that I can think of.

Pros:Does its job and keeps the CPU cooler than the stock HSF. Cheap. Quiet using the stock fan.
Comment:
It's cheap, it's quiet, and it's effective, what more do you need? It's also quite easy to install. Comes with everything you need to turn it into a push/pull configuration except the extra fan. Push/pull should result in a couple extra degrees of cooling.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Deceptively good value!

Pros:Easy and solid installation. Very good cooling.
Comment:
This HSF was a little larger than the picture looked, but it fit easily into my full tower case. Installation was relatively easy and the HSF is not going anywhere. Using speedfan, my CPU and all cores are running at 15C or less! This is a Core 2 Quad LGA775 processor. I haven't owned it for long but I'm impressed already.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:-Fan is loud at 100% speed. I keep it at 30% because my CPU is cool enough.-I can still move the whole heatsink a little with a bit of pressure even after tightening all screws. Perhaps it's meant to be that way, I'm not sure.

Pros:-Keeps CPU cool-Bang for the buck-Fairly easy to install
Comment:
I use this HSF on a i5-3570k overclocked at 4.3ghz. Keeps my CPU under 27C at idle and under 60C at load using only 30% of max fan speed (660 RPM). Make sure your case can fit this 120mm heatsink and fan.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Comment:
I installed this on a Gigabyte U3-B3 񡼃 socket) mobo operating an i7, 2600K inside an Antec Illusion 300 case. To verify cooling differences involving the stock cooler and this a single I compared temperatures although running the Windows Performance Index Test which runs and holds the CPU for about 1 minute at aproximately 70% of its max output. Also, I ran the test with the system overclocked to 4 GHZ. In the course of the test the stock cooler would consistenly hit 70C. The precise identical test working with the Hyper 212Plus hit a highest temperature of 50C - now that is a big difference. Not a CON but guidance to these installing this fan. You absolute have to take the time to view the installation video readily available on Newegg to conserve oneself time and frustration. I did, and I am particular that if I did not points would not have gone so smoothly. Interestingly, the Antec Case output fan ends up just a handful of inches (about 3) away from and in line with the cooler, so it in fact assists the fan on the cooler in a push pull style. Also, the top rated fan is close sufficient to assist in the side direction. I installed the cooler without having taking out the mobo because the Antec case has a large hole below the CPU - ideal. I had to move my two sticks of RAM from sockets 1 and 3 and placed them in sockets two and four. Fascinating, the RAM overall performance test remained the similar, a 7.eight out of a feasible 7.9.If I ever need to have to use the RAM sockets 1 and 2, I can easily move the fan to the other side and spot it to PULL air so that it does not fight the case output fan - no difficulty, there is enough room to do just that if required in the future.1 more factor. I strongly suspect that provided the close proximity to the cooler of my rear and top case fans, the cooler fan is seriously not necessary.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Paper directions are not very good but enough helpful guides/vids on the web helped out more.

Pros:My i5-750 always ran hot with the stock cooler, now this has lowered CPU temps at idle by 10C+, more than expected. The newer design with the plastic fan clips to attach to the radiator allow easy height adjustments if needed.
Comment:
Very impressed, much stronger mount than the stock Intel plastic plugs, perhaps that is what this i5-750 needed.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:One misleading installation indication in the manual

Pros:Does the job and is silent
Comment:
Very good cooler, i can hardly hear it.The installation can be a little tricky. The manual had a warning information about the back-plate in the LGA1155 sectioned that belonged to the other socket group sections, so make sure to look carefully at the drawings.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Comment:
Massive heatsink, huge fan, huge air motion. Drops CPU temperature speedily, and keeps it low. Adjustable for either vertical or horizontal airflow. Loudest fan in my desktop, but it can be loud as long as it does its job. Bit of a pain to set up the backplate, but worth the trouble - see Other thoughts for details. I set this fan in a vertical airflow configuration to take benefit of my pc case's airflow design (bottom to best, to obey a certain law of physics). Attempted operating a burn test on my 970BE at stock speed - temperature never rose above 45C. Temperature ranges from 20C ~ 35C below normal use. Mileage may vary.

Wow! For the value this is an unbeatable aftermarket cooling remedy! 2500K idle was hivering about 25C never hit 40C in prime 95 100% load at 3.3Ghz. I OCed to 4.two Ghz and it under no circumstances hits 60C! None! Installation was a snap! Just watch the installation video right here at Newegg. With the bracket in the back and front this feels like a nice and sturdy set up.

Installed in a 775 motherboard in a Rosewill Challenge case. Keeps my dual core at 37c using stock clock speeds. The fan is quiet so you wont hardly hear it. N/A I didn't assume it was going to fit in the case at 1st. On the other hand, once you begin screwing it down to the motherboard additional room was created offered it a great fit.I will be using this resolution for each and every new personal computer I develop.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Lots of other DC coolers on the market these days that perform better.

Pros:Price / performance.
Comment:
I'm still buying these when they come up on sale and try to keep a spare at all times. Not the best performer these days, but still miles ahead of stock cooling, and can usually be had for a very reasonable price.Fairly easy to install.Honestly with these on the market at reasonable prices, there's absolutely no reason anybody should be running noisy stock cooling.
