COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Comment:
1.) I have no thought which is the proper way to apply thermal paste, and it nonetheless dropped the temperatures on my nicely.two.) The stock cooler sat at 42C idle, now chillin' at 32C. 1.) I thought that possibly the complications people stated about the directions were bogus. They weren't, due to the fact the manual genuinely does suck. Though it is somewhat obvious how to perform it. I'm running an AMD Phenom x4 955 Black Edition in an Antec Three Hundred case. Two 120mm fans blowing in, one 140mm fan blowing out.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Large side to side profile in case. Needs a full size case to fit from what I can tell.

Pros:Best value air cooler on the market. Still beats out some watercooling option.
Comment:
Got 3.6GHz out of an AthlonII X4 635 with this. Loved it and it still managed to be quieter than my graphics card. Core temps from 65C down to 42 at load. Backplate holds it solidly in place.

Cons:Thermal compound not pre-applied (but included)

Pros:Great cooling factor, quiet and very easy to install
Comment:
One of the best CPU cooler I've bought and will buy again. I wish the compound would have been pre-applied but that's just me being lazy.

Pros:Very quiet and efficient

On my previous motherboard I had a small heatsink and fan and noticed a considerable difference with the 2 fan/heatpipe/large heatsink. Once I managed to adjust everything properly and get it fastened it worked very well.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Only a good performer, not an outstanding one, backplate required (included)

Pros:Effective cooling, very good price, four heat pipes, reasonably quiet fan
Comment:
A great cooler, very affordable, and a good way to get people into the world of overclocking - effectively cut 5 degrees off my temperatures with an old Scythe Ninja on a Q9300. Can't wait to see its performance with an FX-6100. On low fanspeeds it's not as great for overclocking, but is still way more quiet than a stock cooler. I even attempted to use it passively, and it ran just below its thermal max passively (I do NOT reccommend this, but it's possible if your fan fails or something you'll have time to shut down your PC safely before replacing the fan without thermal throttling ruining your day)It's a large cooler, but you have to expect that for good performance. One potential downside is that it requires a backplate which means you will probably have to pull your motherboard out to install it - that said the included backplate is high quality, and a big cooler like this should be screwed to a plate for stability reasons anyway. At least you don't need to fiddle with silly pushpins.

Cons:-Only has one fan-Bracket is tricky to install

Pros:-Good cooling-Looks good-Fits in most cases

Overall this is a pretty decent cooler for the price. If you are looking for something cheap and effective Coolermaster is the way to go. It won't cool as well as a $100 dollar cooler but what do you expect?

I read alot of critiques before finding this and alot of them mentioned about how challenging it was to install. Most aftermarket coolers are but this 1 was nowhere near as challenging as some have been in the past. It went on excellent and looks great for sure. Ohh and it cools like a beast. none My ripjaws ram was too tall for the fan installed on the right side of the cooler to work. so i moved the fan to the left side and all is nicely. Just preserve that in mind if you get ram with a tall heatsink on them.

Using mine with two 1350RPM yate loon fans on a 2500k at 4.4ghz with arctic cooling mx-2 paste - literally cannot get it to go over 50 degrees via prime95 no matter how long I leave it on. Wasn't expecting it to be that good, and could easily go for a higher OC if I wanted. Those fans are silent too.Really happy how this thing turned out. I thought I mounted it wrong.

This is an excellent bang for a buck heatsink. I got it price matched for $22, and its totally worth it!! I get 20C idle on my E6850, and 37C on Full load. Moreover, its very quiet even on its max RPM. Its a great buy overall and highly recommended!

I like the fact you can add on another fan to this heat sink. I use one of my extra case fan and mount it on without any problem. it keeps mu i5 2500k oc to 4.3ghz under 30 degree all time. Highly recommended.

Wonderful cooler, absolutely unbeatable price. Looks so rad. Keeps the CPU a great 15-20*C cooler. The fan it comes with is a touch loud, so either control it via 4pin or replace. I replaced mine with 2 x YL push/pull. Be careful if you are switching from stock cooling, the lack of radial cooling onto the board might heat up your VRM, NB, and RAM to too high. You could be superior off with stock cooling, so check to see if you CPU wants it very first.

Comment:
Extremely good heatsink and provides a lot more cooling than I had expected it too. It keeps my i5 2500k OC 4.2GHz at 27 °C idle and 38 °C full load. I'm working with just the 1 fan it came with in a push circulation...was going to put it in a push pull but there is no require. None Believed this was going to eat a DIM slot but it didn't even though really close but even if it would have the G.SKILL ram I bought would have nonetheless fit under it as lengthy as I put them in initial.

Just brought this home today and unboxed it. It looks sweet! It should fit in cases which are 8.11" wide and will work for 2 memory stick configuration. 4 sticks might get tricky if you have really tall RAM like the corsair vengeance. Can't beat the Hyper 212+ for the price.

Pros:QuietEverything in the box you need
Comment:
This is a pretty good fan and value for the dollar. But don't expect it to keep up with the more $$$ coolers. Fitment is key for good temps, and it is a little fussy to get seated properly. But everything is in the box that you'll need. Even extra clips for a second fan. Overall pretty good. Better then stock fan, but there are even better fans out there.

COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 120mm sleeve CPU Cooler
Cons:Too tall. Be prepared to drill.

Pros:Great cooling, excellent value
Comment:
Did not fit into my case (an ordinary full height tower case from NCIX). I had to drill and Dremel eight holes into the side panel for the heat pipe ends to stick out through. This is just stupid, some "injuneer" failing to make basic measurements of the cases these are intended to go into. There is plenty of clearance between the fins and the surrounding components on the PCB (though that's just my board), but unless you have super-tall DIMM or components you should be fine. I also noticed the fan was slightly out of balance (not severely so; probably any mass produced fan will not be perfect). A small wobble applied to a long lever arm such as this heat sink presents can develop vibration-induced failures over time and cause rattles, so I rebalanced it. Now I'm quite impressed.I'm not overclocking, just silencing the system and providing plenty of cooling capacity when needed. On that note, I went into the BIOS and increased the temperature setting at which the CPU fan turns on. Now, when the system is lightly loaded the fan does not even spin up, as this massive radiator provides more than enough cooling through convection. But the full fan capacity is there when its needed. Really nice solution.I'd have rated this 5 stars if it had fit the case. Strong suggestion: pop the heatsink off your CPU, put a straight-edge across the sides of the case and measure the height from the top of your CPU to where the inside of your case would be. And allow for a few additional mm of clearance, you don't want it touching the case cover as the pressure will transfer stresses to the circuit board. (And no, you can't cut the tips of the heatpipes off, because they are hollow and filled with fluid and vapor.)

Have this installed on a 2500k, Over clocked a bit but nothing crazy (4ghz). I have not pushed this motherboard combo to its max yet but it is definitly keeping the temps in check. For the price you cant beat it.
