I was a bit skeptical of the dual push/pull fan, but the specs on how quite it was nonetheless made me attempt it out. I need to say it was far better than I was expecting. Mounting hardware was straightforward to install and its quieter than each of my silent 120mm fans of varying create. My CPU temp is at 36C right now with the CPU at 15% usage continual w/stock CPU speed of the i7-2600k.Motherboard temp is 26C for comparison.I have two 120MM fans and an 80mm blowing into the case with a single 120mm fan blowing the PS heat out. Practically nothing but cool air flowing out of the case. The guidelines are pretty vague, but its only a heat sink so doesn't need to have considerably. I laughed when I saw the stock cooler that came with the i7-2600k, I am glad I got this cpu cooler simply because I wouldn't have wanted to use the stock cooler at all expenses.

Not too massive, not also tiny. Just appropriate size. It allows clear access to all memory sticks on my ASUS Crossfire. Fans are loud for my tastes and they are three-pin. If you are fanatical about quiet like me, you'll want to replace them like I did.

- Looks good- Quiet- CoolerMaster makes great stuff- Drops temps nicely- got it at ี.99 Had to fully get rid of my mobo to set up this point, but it did'nt take that long ྐྵ minutes) and I applied the chance to give my box and elements a great cleaning; so I guess it's was'nt that much of a con. At this price tag point this cooler will meet the desires of absolutely everyone except the most really hard core enthusiast. I dropped this into my box when I couldn't take the noise of my 1090T's stock fan (it sounded like a turbine engine following 10 minutes of BFBC2 or video rendering). Now it's as quiet as a mouse for the duration of game play and temps have been reduced quite nicely, from 54C down to 46C at peak load, and from 32C to down to 28C at idle. If you can get this on sale like I did, then don't hesitate, you won't be sorry.Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H Win 7 - 64) Phenom II 1090T BE (OC to 3.eight)Gskill Ripjaws DDR3 1600 @ 7-8-7-24Radeon HD 6850 1gb GDDR5Coolermaster 500W psu

Well... it does an awesome job cooling the CPU. I have a Sandy Bridge i5 2500K (normally three.3GHz, running @ four.7GHz) and it keeps it good and cool. Idle temperature is around 23c - it will run beneath 55c under typical load which is quite awesome. Only when I run Intel Burn Test do I even get up to 60-63c variety. It is enormous.... I can't anxiety this sufficient. This is *NOT* for tiny cases. I have a NZXT Vulcan mATX case and it does match, but there is not a lot of headroom for clearance.MAKE Positive YOU MEASURE YOUR CASE Ahead of YOU Get. Weighs a lot, and can be type of clunky to install mainly because of the weight / bracket that you have to mount on the back of the motherboard. Getting the pins in position to match the socket 1156񳁳 position can be difficult given that it is correct in the middle. That is the dilemma with coolers that are made to be universal is that it can be cumbersome to set up with all the brackets they offer.

Appears to be doing a pretty fantastic job cooling, low noise also. Nicely produced, nice lap job. For the size of this point, and dual fans in push/pull, i believed it would have cooled a tiny better. But i am running at 4.5 ghz on a intel chip, so i guess 70c beneath full load isn't as terrible as i believe it is.. Been a AMD user for 20 years and seeing 70c is taking some getting applied to.. I don't know why persons are complaining about how hard it was to install. It was pretty well fail proof. Took about five minutes to set up. It also fits over dual Ripjaws X dimms with their massive heat spreaders.

Dropped idle temps on my Phenom II 965 125W from 50C to ㅞC (used Arctic Silver 5 CPU paste). Haven't place it beneath full load yet, but during black ops game play hasn't got more than 46C. It fit proper in my case (see other thoughts) and seems to have enough space to side fan that I also installed. Not a wallet breaker. * Very good cooler* Smaller then my old one particular (Hyper 212+)*Push and Pull Config Pre-Setup*Decent Amount of air circulation*Fancy Glossy FansƦin1Pin motherboard Connector *Slow fans 񢆈RPM Max)ჄMM*Does not cool as nicely as I was expecting Previously to this make, I had an Q6600, with a Hyper 212+ at three.6GHZ and it ran incredibly cool! About 30-35C on idle and 50-60C on stress. This is on my new build, utilizing a Phenom II 955 @ three.8GHZ, and after a 24HR Prime95, temps were at 69C (suggested max for this processor are 62C which is considerably reduced then my Q6600) I'm questioning if this is since AMD's run a tad bit hotter, or due to the fact this merely is a crappier cooler then the Hyper 212+ Push and Pull Config*If you have the space in your case, get the 212+, and buy another fan with it(comes with 1) you will be much more pleased then this!

For the cost and size I couldn't be happier. It dropped the idle temp on my OC i5-2500k by about 10 degrees. Under complete load, the distinction was very noticeable.Running Prime95 with that processor and an Antec900 case + stock cooler the temp would take off. It would simply hit 75+ until I stopped it. With this new cooler and the processor OC to four.4GHz the temp on Prime95 never gets above 60.The installation wasn't practically as terrible as some of the other testimonials make it look. While, I had a case with the mobo processor cutout. Took about 15-20 min. None actually. When it's not 120mm it nevertheless is pretty hefty. Make sure you have space. Outstanding little cooler. With my 955 be at stock speed undervolted to 1.25Vcore I was obtaining @ 34C idle and 52C load. Now throw this little terrible boy into the mix and I'm at 3.8GHz @ 1.35 Vcore and I'm idling at 32C and 48C load temps. 'Nuff stated. I can take this to 4GHz, but the added speed isn't worth it, so 3.eight 24ǝ and I have no worries. Unless you strategy some intense overclocking, this is certainly the cooler you want to get. I have to say, I can't consider of a single one particular. The installation was really effortless as extended as you have a cutout in your case. I used mx-two TIM, but I have employed the cooler master TIM prior to and it is truly very fantastic. Get this, you will not regret the buy.

This cooler is probably the finest for its dollar. Sliced off 14 degrees idle ࿌C to 30C) and in all probability more than 20 (I don't know the exact since my computer shuts down after 60C). The push/pull fans are stunning and work completely. The shine on the bottom of the copper heatsink was awesome. Even so, the set up is challenging. If you don't have a case with a cpu cutout on the back, it's really difficult. You actually have to take your computer system apart, pull the mobo out and place it back together once again. Undoubtedly NOT for the tech unsavvy. (Of course, if you're worried about CPU temps then you almost certainly aren't one of these people.)

I guess its pretty quiet. IT IS Enormous!!!!!! (Not genuinely a con... as.. properly.. whatever.. >_>) The installation was mainly painless...It blocks fairly substantially each and every connector on the upper appropriate corner of my motherboard.I had to push the 8 pin for my CPU in with a stick...But all that aside, I appreciate this cooler.Just don't be dumb like me and plug stuff in prior to you screw your mobo into the case...As of posting this... my CPU is at 27 C.If you have heat troubles GET THIS Issue! I bought this cooler to replace a Coolermaster GeminS524 Top Down Cooler in an HTPC NMedia 2000b case. The Gemin S524 could not keep my OC'd Phenom II 965 below 62 degrees c 4.03Ghz(1.4125v).I removed both 92mm fans that came with this cooler and replaced them with Coolermaster Blademaster 92mm PWM fans. I priced matched the fans down to $5.x each. This N520 cooler can actually keep my Phenom around 57-58 degrees under full load which is 5 degrees cooler then the Gemin S524. The fans do spin up to ~2800rpm's 100% to obtain this temperatures. At idle I am seeing a steady 43 degrees with both fans c 45% (~1800rpm) which is what the stock fans spin at that come with this kit. I would say that this cooler is at it's limits with a 125watt tdp cpu.

Cheap. Nice strong headsink. Its Large. Get prepared to get rid of side fans or get out the dremel.Kind of tricky to set up.There is no airflow diagram to show which way air flows by means of the heatsink. Despite the fact that prevalent sense told me, by searching at the fans, and the truth that the "Cooler Master" stamp would be upside down, I installed the heatsink exactly as it was shown in the "diagram" (if you want to get in touch with it that) and the picture on the box.The diagram and box are incorrect. Immediately after discovering that air flow was reversed, rather than get rid of the heatsink, I removed the fans and switched them.

GHz, and this cooler will be good nonetheless. With C&Q turned off it idles at 33c, and max is 44c at complete load with Prime95. First one particular came defective (It was missing threading on a leg), but Newegg's buyer service a lot more than created up for it, and the second one is ideal. Does an adequate cooling job for the cost. Lowered CPU temp 5C from stock fan/heatsink (AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE). Hope it will drop a handful of additional degrees after the Arctic Silver five has broken in. Loud. Quieter than my stock fan/heatsink (nicknamed "The Banshee), but if that's 19 dB, it ought to be measured at about 5 meters. Other fans (that also claim 19 dB) are drowned out by the vibrating hum of the 92mm fans. Want I had gotten the bigger 120mm push/pull, at least then I could very easily replace the crizappy loud fans with actual silent ones. Perversely, they're Coolermaster, also. Wasn't also hard to install, but not the most enjoyable experience in a mid-tower... Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Client - We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. The great factor about this cooler is that even under full tension from intelburn my 965 BE at 3.4 only reached 50 C. the sound of the fans compared to the stock one from AMD is like night and day. Sort of a pita to set up for an AM3 but offered a tiny bit of time it genuinely isn't to hard to do. Also the directions do not show how to place on thermal paste. So you may want google how if you don't know how. Seeing how it is the most essential aspect. Large =)
