Wow. For the value, i was expecting sufficient, but as an alternative i got exceptional. Place yet another fan on the back, which they are great adequate to include clips for, and this monster keeps my Phenom II x3 ice cold. Following an hour+ of Prime95 it hasn't broken 32c.Idle's with AMD Cool'n'Quiet beneath 15c. The AMD retention clip is a Discomfort IN THE RUMP to manage, nevertheless, it DOES let you orient the cooler in either direction, facing the top of your situation OR the back. Large thumbs up for that, worth the hassle. For what you pay, you actually cant go wrong.Haven't attempted unlocking the 4th core however as I'm satisfied enough with the temp's I'm finding.I'd definitely advise this cooler.

1. It does perform. Keeps my I7-870 @ 36 deg in idle2. It's cheap 1. The included thermal paste is garbage! It speads like bondo!two. The bracket style is flawed. (get rid of the plastic snaps!Ɲ. Really hard to install, even for levels above novice.4. The plastic clips are particularly easy to bend, which prevents them from lining up appropriately in their respective holes 齇 or 1156) This cooler is definately temporary. I actually don't trust the flawed bracket system. Thinking of the amount of speed and heat created by todays cpu's; I think all heatsinks should have metal brackets, that screw in. But I have no a single to blame but myself, Mr. Inexpensive Charlie. Under no circumstances-the-significantly less, I strategy to upgrade inside the subsequent couple of days. However, I gave the H-100 four eggs simply because it genuinely does operate. Way two go CoolerMaster!

Cons:I cant complain at this price

Pros:God replacement for stock cooler

I bought this heatsink fan to replace the stock cooler on my i5, and its worth every penny.Be warned, this is not for serious overclockers, but it will handle light overclocking just fine.

Fantastic cooler!! Uncomplicated installation on my AMD AM3 processor. The orientation of the heatsink and fan makes air flow ideal inside my case. The fan on the side blows air it, cooler fan blows this air across the heatsink and the 120mm rear case fan pulls the hot air out, exceptional setup! None

Amazing Fan. Keeps CPU super cool. AMD Athlon II X3 435 20C idle and 44C immediately after one hour of prime95 stress test. Comes with paste. Super rapidly shipping. Really satisfied. Clip was slightly irksome but not sufficient to take away an egg. I bought a inexpensive ū fan and employed the brackets integrated with the cooler to attach it for a extremely straightforward and efficient push-pull setup.

Size, ease of installation. None so far. My overclocked temps have gone from 36C to 28C just with the addition of this cooler. Working with the supplied thermal grease. Fits any standard 80mm fan as properly. Can not beat this cooler at this price tag. Grab it.

Solid create good quality, and quite effortless to install. It actually is a excellent replacement for a stock cooler. Will fit simply in a mid tower. Likely wasn't much better than the impressive stock cooler that came with my Phenom II 1055T.

I bought two of these to cool dual Mendocino Celeron 366s overclocked to 550, and slightly over volted to two.05v, on an old Abit BP6 dual PPGA 370 mobo I use in a server. The manufacturing excellent of the Hyper 101A is quite high, and the fans are incredibly quiet. The H101A is made for 939-AM3 sockets so I produced custom retaining clips for the 370 sockets. I completely cleaned the nickel alloy CPU heat spreaders with acetone before mounting the H101As with a light film of the included thermal paste. My calculations show that every over clocked and slightly more than volted CPU is dissipating among 40-45 watts beneath total load, considerably lower than most present day CPUs which have typical TDPs of 65w and up.Idle temp is now 24C, previously 27C with stock coolers--3C is not impressive. However, stable LOAD temp after running burnP6 for five minutes dropped from 50C to 32C, from 122F to 89F: a drop of 33 degrees Fahrenheit! The boost from idle to full load is only 8C, 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Am Not compatible out of the box with Socket A뤊. I wish Cooler Master and other people would sell these reduce mass radiator style heat pipe coolers with clips for socket A뤊. I created my own clips which perform just fine. They could incorporate them for much less than 25 cents added. They're losing some sales by not carrying out so as there are plenty of people out right here still running socket A AthlonXP rigs who would like to add a radiator style heat pipe cooler. I'm incredibly mechanical/DIY so producing my personal clips is uncomplicated. For most other people this isn't really an selection.

Easy to install. Keeps the processor operating cool beneath all loads when utilised with dual fans Ƒ pushing / 1 pulling) Only comes with 1 fan. Want to use a mounting bracket for optimum overall performance. (not included) Make positive to use a mounting bracket for the heat sink. Devoid of it, it's next to impossible to get the heatsink to pull down tight enough on the processor cover to maximize the heat transfer.

Possibly they've enhanced the clip, but I had NO challenge putting in this cooler. And to my amazement, we saw a 17 degree drop, beneath a load of Warcraft and iTunes. Oh, and yes...extremely quiet. Loudest fan in your program is usually the CPU fan.Lastly, one particular additional plus...this is fundamentally a heat sink with a Cooler Master case fan. Their fans last for years, and are very easily and cheaply replaced when it does at some point fail. Replacing all CPU coolers with this a single. You could buy the bigger version, but for ย soon after three-day shipping...Not a con! I am one of those who will go with stock model replacements, thinking "Well, this have to match the tech specs if the very same organization made it." This ought to be the stock cooler. So glad I attempted it.

This fit in my case completely great! It also offers my case a cool look to the inside. I have been capable to overclock my athlon two propus 620 2.6ghz to a 3.4ghz which is deff a plus for me and it still stays cool ( about 36C) none An additional fan already installed would have been great but all round I would by once more for an additional develop!

for its size it works wonderful and it consists of hardware for adding second fan. Im making use of two fans on it for a phenomIIx4 oc to 3.3ghz and i havent seen temps over 38-40c under load and although idle it runs at 32-33c. None My last cpu was a phenomx3 8650 and i had Cooler master Hyper N 520 and it was a lot more then double the size of this a single and kept it at around the exact same temps i was actually impressed by this smaller 1.

Mounting bracket is a breeze! Apply thermal compound to heat pipe grooves on cooling plate, insert long half of bracket into appropriate position on cooler and seat cooler on CPU, hook extended part of bracket onto retention hook, hook brief half of bracket onto second retaining hook and insert end of long half into position in brief half, press down on clamp and...done!Very decent integrated thermal compound.Substantially quieter than stock AMD heat sink fan and lowered temps by additional than 12 degrees Celsius. Some men and women just don't get it. Did not purchase on Newegg.com

Low cost So inexpensive it did not come with any mounting brackets. Useless if I cannot set up on my CPU Why would I RMA a ฟ item and spend บ to return it? Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,I apologize for the inconvenience. If you were attempting to set up this cooler on an Intel Motherboard, I am afraid you chose the incorrect cooler. I have linked the appropriate cooler with Intel hardware. If you have been attempting to use it as an AMD cooler, please be sure that the OEM plastic bracket is still installed around the cpu itself. This is an affordable upgrade to the tiny OEM HSF's that AMD is shipping at the moment. It's enough to cool an AMD AM3 processor doing typical every day tasks. Cheaply created. General it would be fine except for 1 significant concern with its style and that is the contact plate. As you can see from the pictures the speak to plate on the bottom is not 1 contiguous piece of metal. The heat pipes run by way of the plate but are exposed. There are a quantity of other incredibly superior designs that are like this but right here's the difference: on this style there is a gap in between exactly where the heat pipes meet the plate. In other words it is cheaply created and the two pieces are not machined accurately so they do not fit together that properly. This implies that when you place it onto your CPU there is going to be a void amongst your CPU's metal cap and the bottom of the HSF rather than contiguous contact. I would highly suggest lapping the bottom of this heatsink but honestly I didn't do it mainly because I'm not certain if this cheap thing is worth that kind of time. Also, lapping it nevertheless isn't going to remove the voids, just enhance on the regions that actually do make make contact with. At the minimum you need to have to take a tiny additional time applying thermal paste to the surfaces of the heat sink and CPU to make this perform decently. Follow the guide on the arctic silver web page. Prep both surfaces with the paste, then remove it, then apply just the ideal amount in the center of the CPU.

Functions incredibly effectively, keeps my CPU extremely awesome, the heat sink stays awesome to the touch as well simply because of the properly designed placement of the fan. Looks quite tricky to install (directions are fundamentally 2 confusing photographs) Took me a great 10 minutes to even attempt and figure out how to set it up to latch it into spot but once you do its easy. Incredibly much worth the dollars.

Low value for a Dual Heat Pipe cooler, quieter than the stock AMD that came with the cpu, compact size, works great! For the value, none I was acquiring 111deg idle / 128+deg under video rendering with the stock AMD fan that came with the Athlon II X3 435 CPU with it unlocked to a Phenom II X4 B5 with 6mb L3 cache. With this cooler using the stock grease that comes with it I am finding 86deg idle / 110deg below the identical load....fan-tastic! It's base does cover the whole CPU, as opposed to some critiques I have read mentioned, and the clips are fairly straightforward to place on. The trick is you position the long section initially, then paying interest to the orientation of that sections finish piece, place the lock-down section on, and lock it down. This will hold the assembly with each other until you get it in position. The measurements are 4 1ǘ" tall x 3 1ǘ" wide x two 3ǚ" deep like fan. This fits on my ASRock M3A770DE MB in a standard mid-tower 9 1ǘ" "thick" Rosewill situation with 1 1ǘ" to spare over the best of it, and plenty of space around it, like the memory. It does it's job well, and is worth the $$!

Far better than stock fan from Phenom X6. Genuinely. Replaced that with this on a Athlon X2. In addition, the fan blows the hot air right out the major vent of the situation. I also turned the back fan about to blow in and it hits the heat sink fins with added air. I like the thought of two fans, but not essential. Doesn't really cover about 3sq-mm of each and every corner of the processor, but it nonetheless operates fine. I'm Quite disappointed with that huge fan that comes with the AMD Phenom. It looks cool, and covers the complete cpu, but it's heat pipe design nonetheless fails to operate as well as this significantly flimsier heat pipe design on an Athlon X2 4200+.

I also have a 120mm fan pulling air in the front, i have it placed at the top, where the drive bays are, this feeds a enormous amount of cool air more than the ram, and appropriate into the heatsink fan.P.S. I reside in the desert, so cooling for me is srys small business :P

Its quiet and smaller for this kind of cooler. Also has the ablity to add an added 80mm fan if you have the space. The package comes with the brackets for the fan and thermal grease. Works excellent on my AMD X2 4800+ 2.5Ghz ࿡W) processor. Coolermaster web site says the Hyper 101 is very good up to 70 W processors. Think it. Despite the fact that you may possibly read it's excellent up to 95 watts, it wasn't true in my expertise. I attempted to use it on an AMD X2 6000+ three.1Ghz ࿹W) processor, to upgrade my method. The Hyper 101 was not capable to keep up and temps would reach 60C very easily. I had to put my 4800+ CPU back in the Motherboard. Use only on low energy CPUs.

Very quiet, supports a second "pull" fan which I'm making use of, outstanding cooling properties, Quite reasonably priced Can finish up getting a bit tall, and fairly wide once you add a second fan, y-splitter not included for second fan but not anticipated to be included either I've swapped heatsinks about 3 or 4 times mainly because of a dusty area where this computer sits, but this one has been operating good regardless. I have considering that changed all 4 fans in the Pc ƒ on the heatsink, two on the back panel) to the R4-S8R-20AK-GP and I'm incredibly happy with the setup. I'm now ordering the extra exact same setup for yet another Computer.
