Unit arrived total in two days. Feels heavy duty, good extended braided cable with plenty of connects for my HTPC, w/ ties & screws included.Powered up, very quiet, no weird noises. Technique is running smooth. What a deal with the ฤ rebate! can't consider of a single one particular - unless it croaks but I consider not~(I guess the 8ǚ pin connect could have been a small far more slick - not actually an region for confusion... would purchase once more - Technique: Antec case, Asus G41 mATX mobo w/E8400, Vista,& 4GB's Pc6400 Kingston, Giga 4350 video card HDMI out streaming into a 40" Samsung LCD - use rig for streaming & light gaming - all I require

Aesthetically pleasing. Wires are all braided for good finished look. Ships in a protective sleeve inside the box. None so far. Could use 1 more set of SATA power connectors. Utilizing this at present in my unRAID server.

The power supply works. Perhaps it will die sooner than later, who knows It makes an annoying audible humming sound. For ฟ on Black Friday I figured it was worth the threat.The noise comes and goes like a sine wave and its comparable to the buzz you would hear from speakers obtaining feedback. Its not loud sufficient that you can't ignore it, but it’s not quite enough to forget about it either. General it’s just a major nuisance and I have to shut off the laptop or computer at night when my ears are additional tuned into any noises. I am not a quite noise conscious person when it comes to computer noise. This is beyond what a regular person would anticipate for noise. It gets Really irritating when there is no music playing or some thing to keep your attention distracted. It was low-cost. I got it for 15 bucks immediately after the MIR. We'll see if that ever comes in. This PS is good and quiet as properly. My older generic PS sounded like a Jet was receiving prepared to take off. And finally, I like the new PS smell! Somebody earlier had commented about the weird buzz that comes from this PS. It is correct but it need to wear off more than time. The initial night this was installed I had to actually leave the room and let it buzz on it's personal. It's nearly a quite high pitched faint sound that you can hear. It's definatly enough to be annoying. It it wasn't for that annoying noise I would have givin this PS 5 stars. It works terrific and it looks fantastic and beside that weird noise (that is additional annoying than loud) it's truly fairly very.

Make good quality is great. The cables are nicely covered in wired mesh. The 8 pin CPU power pin splits in half if your mother has four pin input. I was going to order an 8pin to 4pin adapter till I figured it out by accident. Its been more than two months and the business nonetheless hasn't sent me the rebate check, even even though I submitted everything perfectly. Obtaining a second a single for another laptop. Local Besttbuy only has 650W Corsair but I don't want the extra heat generated by it so ordering this one to replace the OEM 350W.

I have a wholesome supply of Corsair RAM so I believed I would give their P/S a attempt. The initial was the older 400W model. That one was sweet. Does this replacement live up to the identical common?Close, but not rather. Single rail juice is helpful with thirsty video cards. Fan is big, slow and thus quiet. Not 1 hiccup - always clean power. All cables are wrapped in mesh for a clean appearance. Only 4 SATA connectors compared to the 6 on the older 400W model. 2 each on 2 tails for this P/S.Mfr lists as greater than 80% efficient, so exactly where is the Bronze certification? Is this an oversight, or this is a drop in excellent? I'm not positive, but it's surprising coming from Corsair.

A lot of connectors, the one that came with my laptop had to have an adapter to go to my tough-drive. It is fairly quiet. Corsair has the very best technical support I have ever worked with. Only three of the screws line up with the holes in my case, likely human error in installing. So fundamentally none. It has been a lengthy time given that I installed a PSU, I have had a laptop for the last 6 years. I ran into an issue with not being able to uncover the four-pin connector, I would by no means have believed to break the 8-pin. I also bought RAM from Corsair and in each circumstances they gave me no runaround. It is clear that they actually know about the goods. The 8 pin ATX plug splits into two 4 pin ATX plugs with a simple pull. I say this mainly because an individual left a evaluation saying they had to return it simply because it had no 4 pin ATX LOL! If looks could kill, this PSU would slay you. Beautifully developed and carries the Corsair name. Out of the box, this PSU looks like a excellent unit. The power cables are long and lanky and sheathed in a sexy black netting fabric. Bold, even if not too powerful. Some surprises I like, but not what I didn't come across with the CX430. There was no 4-pin or split 8-pin CPU power connector, at least not with my unit. I bought this as a replacement PSU, and unfortunately, I had to ship this beauty back. It was hard to let her go, but I had no selection at the finish of the day but to RMA. Even though this Corsair unit didn't function out for me, I have not given up on the Corsair brand. They make a fantastic line of high-quality PSUs that are properly worth the funds. In truth, I just completed a construct working with the stylish Corsair 650TX. It's quiet, attractive, and nicely-built, just like a fantastic PSU must be.

I bought it for a year but only used it for two and half months. The 4 pin connector burned and nearly killed my motherboard. I just received CX430 V2 as a replacement. I am not sure about the difference of CX430 and CX430 V2. However, it might be a good idea to purchase CX430 V2 instead of CX430 since CX430 V2 include 3 years warranty instead of 2 years. If the product is not on special, I will avoid purchasing this product and get a better one since the shipping cost to send it back was nearly $23 dollars. I would give it as a two and a half stars

Arrived intact, working and by stated delivery date. So far, no difficulties and none anticipated. Energy Supply had very good overall critiques (Newegg) and met my wants for my existing develop. Superior cost comparatively, in my opinion for a 430 Watt quality Energy Supply. It's also really quiet and appears to have adequate cooling/ventilation. No noticed performance problems to date! None so far. Corsair has been the initial vendor that I in fact received the rebate from. I have purchased a lot of hardware items over the last 13 years from numerous unique vendors and they all seem to have a way of denying your rebate request, based on this or that... perhaps I just got this 1 appropriate and not the others. Not!! Anyway, Corsair has my vote for this Power Supply and associated Rebate for it.

Great budget PSU ($30 on sale). Fairly quiet, even when powering a HD 6870. I do wish it had a second 6-pin PCI-E power connector though. I don't like having to use adapters. +12V & +5V rails are almost spot on at ~250W load according to my multimeter.

Newegg's return policy. Got the CX430 on a quite very good rebate, ended up paying next to nothing for it. It wasn't worth it. When I received the unit, I installed it. Turned on the machine for a minute or two whilst listening to the fan clicking/ticking. The power supply seemed to be struggling to maintain up with my 76w idle tiny form factor pc. When I moved the mouse about, I could hear an electronic resonance matching the movement of my mouse getting transmitted from the unit. Quickly uninstalled it and sent in for a refund. I believe in buying a very good good quality energy supply as the foundation of a excellent pc. This isn't it. It's not the CX400, not even close. The sleeving is also very loose around the cables, but the PSU housing is truly much better than the CX 400. The paint quality is wonderful too. Just don't understand why Corsair would low cost out this poor on the internals. This is a bread and butter energy supply for them. If you will need a lower wattage power supply, I'd advise a Seasonic 380w. Manufacturer Response:It sounds as if you simply got a defective unit.
