Cons: Not modular ( but would not expect for the price)

Pros: CheapGood build quality for the price 120 mm fan
Comment:
I bought this to buld a cheap web surfer for a co-worker. I was pleasantly surprised at the build quality, as I was expecting something really cheap for the price. Has all the basics you need for a decent basic build. Would not reccommend for anything more than a basic/office PC

Cons: None.

Pros: Good Price.Noiseless.120mm fan.
Comment:
I bought this for my HTPC with i3 processor. This give me enough power and because I don't use all the power it can provide, it stay cool. The fan is noiseless and 120mm from the side. It get the air inside your computer and throw it outside. Good PSU!

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: - Not modular- MIR

Pros: - Cheap- Quality brand
Comment:
This power supply is perfect for low end computers that do not require a lot of power. The fan is relatively silent and everything has been stable so far. I like modular power supplies but this feature cannot be expected at this price. As usual, the MIR is a pain.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: - Cheaply built

Pros: + Good for testing or cheap builds
Comment:
I got this power supply just for testing purposes, i.e. to test a system whether it has a dead PSU. I own a power supply tester too but that has proven that it's not always reliable, so a new PSU would do the job. I suppose it would be good for cheap builds too.. but there's better out there. This one is pretty cheaply built. Ok for the money. Get it on sale.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: 430W, not modular cable system.

Pros: Inexpensive, quiet, does its job
Comment:
Picked it up for $17 after rebate to replace main power supply while it was being rma. So it is great as a backup. I needed to use a dual-molex to pci-e for a second power connection to the graphics card. That was fine, but always double check that the psu will have the connections you need!

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: not a huge power supply, can't attach a bunch of extra power hungry stuff to system

Pros: Cheap, reasonably quiet, has the required connectors
Comment:
A decent basic power supply for the price. Reasonably quiet. Has the basic connectors. Doesn't have a bunch of extra connectors, or a large output. Don't expect to power an SLI/Crossfire system with this.I have it powering my MAME cabinet computer and it works great. Corsair has rebates all the time, and they do come if you follow the instructions.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: None...for a budget system this should be sufficient and better than the alternatives.

Pros: Purchased for only $4.99Corsair brand 2 year warranty -short but better than nothing-
Comment:
I've purchased two of these PSU while it was on sale. For roughly $5-10 depending on the sale, I wouldn't think twice considering its Corsair. Corsair RMA and customer service is by far the best I've ever dealt with. Never had any problems with MIR, although it might take awhile I always receive my rebates within 2-3 months. I wish I had purchased more while it was on sale for -$2 after rebate for free!.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: Power Surge MasterUnreliable power?

Pros: PriceName BrandSleeved cables
Comment:
I bought this to use on a low power system, great price on sale, under a twenty with MIR(you get what you pay?). Unfortunately, it has some serious power surge issues, not very stable and trips my Motherboards Power Surge Protection. So in conclusion, I cant use it (cant even get board to post, it will post with a old dell 300w PSU). Back to NCIX it goes. Here i come guys. *Disclaimer, the results i have are not necessarily the ones you will get, in every bunch there's always a lemon. Mine is / was a lemon. I have always had a great experience with Corsair, and hope to continue to. but this PSU i will not buy again.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: I heard the fan is not the greatest (the bearings or whatever in it)

Pros: Strong manufacturer, 2 year warranty, only cost $1-2 after tax
Comment:
Like I said, it's cheap after MIR for a nice backup PSU if I ever need one. Too bad it doesn't have a longer warranty like my TX750 though.Would buy again, especially at the price I paid.

Cons: Sleeving not so greatly finishedcx400 provided more amperage on the 12V rail.

Pros: SO cheap. like 2$ after MIR and taxes
Comment:
I wish i had tested the power supply, however, i have no use for it at the moment. Comes with zip ties, and a case badge. Overall exterior on the powersupply is quite nice, except on the sleeving of the cables.

Cons: only 430 w, MIR

Pros: good price and quality
Comment:
pick up by 17.95 after MIR 3 weeks ago, good price and nice quality, strong cable and there is PCI-E connector.just it comes with MIR, so I paid 40+ dollars, and waiting for 20 dollars mail in rebate, not sure how long will be, and 430 w is limited, but for the price, I am really satisified so far.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: A bit loud

Pros: Could more components than you think
Comment:
The PSU seems quite solid, i got it for my HTPC build and it seems to work nicely. I even tested it on my gaming rig with a gts250 overclocked with a bunch of HDs and other components and it actually handled it with no problem. The price is ok, the avg $50 range for a 450-550W PSU. Im not sure if mine was somewhat defective or not, because the fan was pretty loud, im not sure how others are though.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: - Not modular but can't ask this for such a low price.- The biggest cons is that it makes a squeeling (high pitched noise) when the switch is at ON and that you have the 24pin motherboard cable plugged even though the computer is at off. That's almost freaky and kind of strange but everything seems to work perfectly so far...

Pros: - Sleeved cable at this price, I never seen that not even the Seasonic 80PLUS of 60$ have this.- 430W is more than enough for any value computer even midrange gamer.- Very silent with the 120mm fan.- Looks good inside a case though we don't care about that.- Dirt cheap for a 80PLUS power supply, 40$ - 20$ mail rebate wow.
Comment:
I bought this because my sister was using a no name PSU over 6 years old and when it died few days ago it killed her motherboard and hard drive at the same time. It did a lot of smoke and could have been dangerous if the house would had catch on fire. It was also very loud so as I said to her, too bad for you for using a pos power supply. So everything about this PSU is awesome and it's by far the best you can get at 50$ and less but the high pitched noise is a little weird.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: Modular would be nice but impossible for this price range. Not for SLI or CF or power hungry systems.

Pros: A steal for $20 after rebates. Build quality is top notch and runs quiet. Seems to be very stable under load.
Comment:
Installation was a breeze for a non-modular power supply. Covered the extra cabling with a plastic bag and a half dozen zip ties to keep the build neat. I recommend this for HTPC, internet surfing boxes, or light gaming. Beats all Antec budget power supplies any day of the week!

I bought this power supply for my HTPC and so far its doing the job. Wouldnt buy this for a gaming computer as it's only a 430w PSU. It has 2 year warranty which is pretty cool.

picked this up for $20 with the $20 MIR, like the other poster, i sure hope it comes. but still for $19, it looks pretty good. had to mangle my dell case to get this to fit in, but that's the fault of the dell case. my desktop runs smoothless now, had some hiccups from bootup process with my old PSU. can't complain for the price

Cons: None

Pros: Good build quality
Comment:
Excellent for the price. The 430CX is built by CWT and is virtually identical to the OCZ StealthXStream 400W (see http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/794). However, I would have much preferred the 400CX that this unit replaced, which is a Seasonic-made unit. Yet, I've had zero problems with the SXS 400W units, and I'm hoping that the 430CX will be just as trouble-free.

Picked this up for 18.99 in the sale, and then a $20 mail in rebate after that. For that price you can't beat this. The PSU fan could be bigger though, even though it might have added to the price. This is a good solid basic PSU, for no frills builds.

CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 CMPSU-430CX 430W Power Supply
Cons: -Warranty-Problems unrelated to hardware

Pros: -Good brand-Quiet
Comment:
Corsair PSU's are know to be reliable so it's fine but I am suspicious of the 2 year warranty compared to the 3 year warranty of the predecessor.Unrelated to the hardware:-I was told that my parts were ready to be picked up by NCIX but when I went to the store, they were out of stock so I had to wait for the item to restock before I could work on my build. -The week after I bought this they had a $20 rebate which makes me sad since I basically got this PSU during the rebate period since it was backlogged. :/
