Nicely created, higher excellent NOISY! This issue moves a ton of air correct on top rated of your memory but at the price of getting the loudest item in your system. The mounting is sufficient but leaves a small to be preferred. It attaches to the clip/ejector mechinism on the memory slots. If you move your pc or take it for a car ride, it may come loose.

Performs and its a affordable cooling selection. Doesn't seems to secure when you stick them on the ram. It definitely won't fall off but I wish it was a tighter fit for peace of mind. Even though that alone is undoubtedly not a purpose to keep away from this product.

Fans do a great job of keeping my DIMMS cool. extremely quiet. Properly that is... soon after Windows boots. For the duration of the boot method, fans tend to be loud, They ultimately stop but the noise they make is cringe worthy. Even altering fan speeds in the BIOS tends to make no difference. I have two sets of fans that came with my Dominator sets. I just decided to use the ones that make the least noise for the duration of boot up.

Easy to install. Looks sweet if you care about that. Cools ram. A little bit of an awkward mount. It holds in place but seems fairly flimsy. I'm running Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600 ram tri channel 6 gig. I have overclocked the ram to more than 1900 so I bought this but it most likely wasn't vital. Then once again it can't hurt.

IF you have fan controller or a motherboard that supports fan manage function from BIOS it is a Good piece of technologies to cool down overheating memory specifically when OCing it. If you plan on working with this device with out fan controller it will be Also loud--at three,750 rpm that my CMXAF2 exhibited (obviously the stated marketing and advertising speed of 3,500 rpm comes with a +/- tolerance) it is extremely audible more than the rest of pc fan noise even in Cosmos 1000 sound insulated situation. Employing ASRock 890FX Deluxe3 mother board I was capable to cut down the speed to two,300 rpm and consequently the noise dropped beneath annoying level--below the sound of other fans in the case. Even with such a accomplishment it came with a cost--I was capable to get to that speed employing the very lowest setting for fans using the BIOS settings of 1 (where ten is the highest all-natural 'full' speed of fans.) This fan set is unbearably too loud for a quiet room like bedroom at the factory settings and it is ONLY with a fan controller that it becomes the greatest that it was meant to be--great build excellent, exceptional fan quality, superb warranty, superb looks, and.. low noise.

Cools extremely hot FB-DIMMs actually properly.Pc was crashing after I water cooled the two 120W+ CPUs in my workstation, leaving the FB-DIMMs with almost no cooling.Decreased high load temps from 92C to 50C. This unit is the only fan in the spot of the RAM.92C is the max FB-DIMMs can sustain, which is why the personal computer crashed. None Some say this thing "slides".A) It is created to, exactly where the sides meet the fans the screws have channels so you can move the unit about. B) The unit as a entire can slide as it mounts to the hold-down tabs at the edges of the memory slot.To fix these "issues" A) Tighten the screws B) If you drop your pc everyday (I tested with an old motherboard, it takes ᡪ+ G's to knock this point loose. Dropping your personal computer on concrete will do it.) this issue "slipping" off the memory slots isn't a terrible concern. If you are afraid it will come off wrap a decent sized Cable Tie around it and your memory. (Squeeze the clips don't attempt going over the top of the factor)I wrapped mine with a cable tie as the workstation does move, as "Workstation" laptops don't currently include dual quad core processors and I need to have to be mobile sometimes.

Extremely solid style as far as stability on the board and the stiffness to the RAM clips. Moves a lot of air and created a enormous difference in memory temps. Easy to assemble. I had purchased the CORSAIR CMXAF1, basically Corsair's first addition of this RAM cooler. Similar factor happened to me, 1 fan, either the bearing or a thing produced the device to make a significant amount of noise, being the most noticable noise coming from my pc. Now the exact same thing has occurred to this memory cooler, but this time it occurred the very same day that it arrived in the mail, as opposed to the CMXAF1 that took about 45 days before lots of noise occured. Now I recognize I could uncomplicated make contact with the producer and get a replacement, or heck even ask for a refund from where i bought the cooler. But the fact of the matter is I took a possibility with Corsair's newer product yet again, and I was unhappy. I assume other's really should know, my problems with Corsair. I am at this point contemplating going to the OCZ Ram Cooler, while I am nervous about the critiques written about thier cooler as well. Manufacturer Response:Please let us replace the fan for you. The newer model should not be generating this noise.External Link(s): Corsair RMA Link|

These fans do a wonderful job of cooling my overclocked Corsair ram. The top quality of the retaining clips is a large improvement more than the older design and style. The fans could quickly grow to be as well audible for some enthusiasts and are incredibly prone to building a single of the worst grinding sounds I've ever heard. I would recommend this cooler for any person who is overclocking their ram, on the other hand, don't be surprised if you have to return the item due to fan noise.

This is the ONLY cooler that performs. It is quite effectively created and is adjustable. It gets the air ideal down to the roots of the ram.Fits nicely over four sticks of ram and is a great tight fit. Could be a tiny less costly but seems a lot right after you waste money on the junk coolers and then have to break down to acquire this one. For the fantastic folks who believe the fans are noisy, they are clear not running substantial video cards. If you don't game or video render you possibly don't will need them anyway.

Looks excellent, cools properly, low adequate cost. A single of the fans makes a incredibly loud sound. This noise generally begins during a cold boot. After hitting my case a handful of times the fan will quiet down, but not totally. Seems to get worse as weeks go by. also verified it's not hitting anything to result in the noise. Big fan of Corsair goods, but this has now been two fans that have failed on me 鲸mm H-50 fan following one particular week and this cooler after 45 days).Still a fan of Corsair although.

Really and keeps the memory cool. The way it attaches to the memory finish clips can be a small odd. It also will allow it to slide a tiny. Also if your memory is stacked four DIMMs side by side this component will function properly if they are paired two and 2 it won't support the other 2 DIMM's. Highly advocate this element for water cooled users. My airflow was poor around memory modules since of the water cooler on my CPU. I assume the lack of a fan on my processor changed the airflow in my case drastically and as a outcome my memory was overheating. Random crashes etc. Now with this fan add on, no crashes.

1. It appears to do what it's supposed to, moving air more than a full six DDR3 modules.2. The mechanical style and construction is quite great, except for the lack of rubber insulation on the clips. The frame is extruded aluminum and does have a high high quality really feel.three. It doesn't demand any modifications to your method, nor does it require that you glue something on to your RAM modules. 1. The fans are noisy. Mine don't sound so bad as to make me believe they're defective, but they are noisy, considerably noisier than all the fans in my machine place together.two. The metal clips that attach the whole thing to your RAM sockets are a bit lame. They're metal with no any rubber covering and, as a outcome, they seriously don't grab the sockets quite tightly. Also, I was a small uncomfortable with the complete concept of metal clips that close to my board; if they slipped, was some thing going to get shorted out?I decided to repair each the loose fit and lack of insulation with some stretchy, self-fusing "Rescue Tape" (do a seach on Google) and that seemed to perform quite nicely. Still, I believe it ought to have come this way from the factory. I haven't completed anything but about the noise. I installed this when I went from 3 strips Ɩ GB) to six strips ྫྷ GB) simply because I was concerned with the warning in the manual that came with my ASUS P6T motherboard: "For method stability, use a a lot more effective memory cooling method to help a complete memory load Ɩ DIMMs) or overclocking condition." But the memory I'm employing (Corsair XMS3) already has heatsinks on each and every strip, so I really have no notion if I essentially necessary to do this.

Though I have only been running the fan for a handful of hours now, I have no complaints. The fans are very, move plenty of air. I havn't turned the rpms down at all and can't hear it inside my watercooled machine. Full metal case is solid. Straightforward to install. Looks great. None so far. don't have the complaints of noise or moving about like other people have said. Cools my 12gb of DDR3 Corsair XMS3 wonderfully. Had troubles due to the fact of the water cooled system didn't push any air towards the memory. Now I get to play with overclocking wihtout worrying about heat issues.

All metal - great spring impact extended pig tale for fan connector plus sheathing of the wires. My config is a Intel D5400XS mother board in a Cosmos case - w 4x 8 gig rams dimms w metal heat shields - w/o this unit memory is really hot could not touch the heatshield : Now that this unit is becoming employed - I can spot my finger on the heatshield and leave it there. The G.SKILL unit is similar and this one does a much better job a cooling ram temps but this as its problems as nicely. Fans are a bit noisy - unit can slide down the sides of your RAM Dimm sockets shutting down airflow - can be a challenge w vertical mount as the weight of this unit (all metal) can lead to it to tilt - and touch metal on backside of the video card - don\'t forget this unit is all metal - metal conducts electrical energyNote this Intel MB could work greater w a 40mm fan unit not this 60 mm unit. So check your MB area out get hold of a metric ruler and do some measuring. Used item on a Intel D5400XS mother board that necessary me to the turn about of the Xigmatec 120mm rifle coolers due to fans hitting the side of the Corsair housing and pushing it into the video card - trace side of the video card Tight fit w this item in this application - I utilised Rubber pads to insulate the side that faced the trace side of my video card - in the event the make get in touch with. I also utilized self adhesive rubber pads (trimmed to fit) to location on the spring metal clamps that are used to hold the assembly on the ram release levers. Performing this assisted me in my application to hold the unit in position so it could cool and make it far more secure when the MB is mounted in the vertical this was what I utilised 333369-001**HP**XW4400 OVAL RUBBER FEETPerforming this step improved the items functionality any my piece of thoughts for My situation.

Cools ram powerful, not loud. None so far, will see how lengthy it last from other evaluations, but running at lower speed so it should final longer. If you complain about it becoming loud you really should go to bios and turn it to a lower setting to around 1600 rpm at 40% speed. Nonetheless pushes adequate air and you won't hear it over the rest of the fans in case. This can be easily completed and thinking a fan at full speed is going to be silent for how small the fans are ludicris.

Great designdoes what its supposed toeasy installfunctions just as very good as the older version one particular of the fans is giving me problems right here and there I only gave the it 3 eggs given that 1 of the fans has started to make a lot of noise not too long ago. It occurs irrtaically, so instances it tends to make a racket and some times it is fairly as can be. It appears to be just a poor fan. but hey fans do go negative.

Looks nice. It does what it is intended to do, which is keeping your high speed memory modules a bit cooler. If you aren't overclocking your memory then this is a bit pointless. Proper case airflow and excellent ramsinks will maintain your DIMMs sufficiently cool. I have the GT version of this that came with my 2k kit (same fan, various stickers). It flaked out on me inside a couple months, with one of the fans generating a extremely loud and high pitched whining sound whenever it was running. Tried to set up an RMA and got no assistance from Corsair at all, which is odd because they are generally fairly superior about product support. I run my memory with no the fan now and it overclocks just the identical, temp probes show nominal temperatures comparable to what they had been with the fan running.
