This set is awesome. It scored a 7.5 on Win 7's efficiency rater. The construction is superb the heat sinks are solid and really high top quality really feel to them. The fan is a must and runs quite quietly. Not Significantly. Works with my set up:Asus Crosshair III formulaPhenom II X4 965ATI 4670 x2 on crossfire

This is really high efficiency Ram, and it's a good thing it comes with heat spreaders and a cooler. It's best for my AMD Thuban 1090 and 3x4870x2 number crunching rig. The fan keeps the Ram good and cool and it blows through BOINC calculations like you can't envision. Plus, you get a cooler fan thrown in! NONE! Gaming or quantity crunching, don't skimp, obtain it. I recommend Corsair or Cruicial, but Corsair is much better.

Memory is really recognized by motherboard! Gigabyte 790gx-ud3h. Ram recognized as 9-9-9-27 667 mhz and have not messed with black profiles but. Fan is a discomfort in the bumm to install, you will have to move wires, all that sort of stuff, and for a full atx case w/ atx motherboard, It barely fits between cpu hs/f and 24 pin power connector.

Blazing quick and rock solid stable. Exactly what i expect from a giant like Corsair. come with some sort of documentation on how to set this RAM up. It took me 3 hours to figure out i required to set my DIMM voltage to 1.7 and the speed to 1333. Auto voltage and speed configuration brought on it not to even post. So thank you Corsair for that smaller oversight. I have a couple of much more grey hairs now. I docked an egg mainly because it was genuinely frustrating. Thank goodness for the net or i would have RMA's it and seriously been mad. Like i mentioned when you get it going it's awesome. The fan wouldn't fit but thats since my HDD was in the way absolutely nothing Corsair was responsible for. It would have saved me two hours if Corsair included a note that mentioned "Some motherboards will need their voltage set to 1.7 manually for this to function effectively"

--The sticks look really very good in my case with and without the included fan assembly but regrettably the green color doesn't go entirely appropriate with my color setup (blue), but it's not quite noticeable with appropriate lighting.--Can't truly give any pros to performance enhance contemplating I upgraded from just four gigs of one more brand to 8 gigs of this, there was a noticeable boost with stuff beginning up compared to the previous.--MOBO picked up the sticks in the BIOS automatically, less function to do. I primarily wrote this assessment due to the fact of the included fan assembly. The only two cons I could feel of were:--Noise, the fans are noticeably LOUD and increases overall noise by 10-15 dB. It's too loud for me so I don't have the fans connected appropriate now.--The fan assembly is difficult to attach to the memory out of the box, the metal hooks come out of the box as a tight fit so I had to physically bend back the hooks to make it less difficult to attach, no biggie. Just touching the memory's heatsinks I don't actually notice any distinction in temperature with or without having the fans. That reality was just a different reason to not have the fans connected. I have superior ventilation in my case so it's still superior.My CPU cooler is tiny sufficient to not be anyplace near the memory, but I can see it causing problems with people who have massive and robust CPU coolers. Installed effortlessly, and was recognised by my mobo. With just software OC-ing at about 3% with MSI's Crontrol Center took my AMD Phenom two X 955 B.E. from its 3.two Ghz to 3.424 with the ram at 9-9-9-24 1-T. And, the ram is cool to the touch following Silent Hunter three running at the max. My new GTX 470 Fermi may well have helped on the graphics finish. I've constantly had great luck with Corsair; which is why they figured promminately in my newest develop. My mobo, an MSI 890FXA-GD70, only has memory retention clips on the top finish of the ram slots; so there was no place to attach the fan unit! It's presently being used as a paper weight, simply because it's nice to appear at. Awesum, Happy - You can't go wrong with Corsair. I have their 950 watt PSU, Dominator Ram with Airflow cooling method and next acquire will be water cooling with the brand new T70 Following specifically 6 mos 1 of the two modest fans on the Rams cooling system failed. good product for the price if you want something 100% compatible with your amd cpu.my mobo have set the correct voltage with out me doing any change.with the fan you can overclock those very high before they come to hot.i was lucky because my cpu heat sink do not take much space on the ram side but if you have a big heat sink who take to much space you may not be able to put the fan on your ram.

It's unfortunate that NCIX doesn't have a photo included, however the heatsinks are black and green in true AMD fashion.I am looking forward to installing them on the upcoming Crosshair IV.I was also fortunate to pm them just prior to NCIX announcing that they will no longer pm Memory.For pictures just google the part number.Cheers
