arrived quickly and in pretty box , realy heavy unit, modular.New egg is the very best ( see other thoughts) I Installed this with TLC , when I was completed hit the power and it started smoking ! Took out a perfectly very good motherboard and filled the space with burned electrical smell.. I was shocked that a corsair item costing this substantially would do that. Thanks goodness for New egg , I named them and they imeditly issued a RMA , waived the restocking and paid for the return shipping even although it was not their fault corsair is at fault here not new egg . I will be ordering something else and it will not be a corsair power provide

Wonderful PSU. Actually nice look, cables are sleeved. Very long cables and SLI Prepared.7 year warranty that you dont need to register.Cables are fairly long for a mid tower, but it helps with cable management. The packaging is a bit ridiculous, but truly a nice gesture from corsair even though that tacks on to the overall value.

Every little thing just works -- good set of cables, all packaged nicely -- a totally drama-free of charge knowledge. I pretty much took an egg for this: the 8-pin ATX power cable is 2 inches too short to make the trip around the back panel of a Corsair 600T case! I had to acquire a 6-inch extender cable to get that performed properly. But, it would be fine in a typical-width ATX case, so I'll be fair about it. I often power up a new PSU with some trepidation, because I when skilled a DOA (not a Corsair). This 1 does not disappoint.

Good and heavy, comes with cable ties(!).I have an MSI-P35 Plat, and the 12v rails are all reporting appropriate around 12.050 volts, if this can be trusted from BIOS. Why the velvet sack? Really? I hope it didn't add considerably to the price of the product, for something you're going to eliminate once, and--at very best, shop your dice in--I feel I would have been pleased with bubble-wrap. Replaced its Corsair HX520 grandpa. Purchased an N470GTX and was seriously debating whether or not or not I should upgrade the PSU, but erred on caution mainly because I do not have the signifies to measure watt usage.

my 1st modular PSU and i have to say, i adore it! Other than that, it's a Corsair PSU so i know there is very small to be concerned about as they make Very good quality PSU's none it's fairly silent too!

Having purchased and used a Corsair HX620 from NCIX.com in the past I had no hesitation in purchasing the HX850. My HX620 has never given me any problems for that last 4 years so I was confident that the HX850 would meet all my needs for the next 4 with its power and stability.

Nothing really I can add that hasn't currently been stated, so I'll just say that I've been using one of these is my key rig for a little more than year and have had no power difficulties. Correct now I've got it powering an ATI 5750, four difficult-drives, and 3 DVD drives - and it's probably overkill for that. Possibly if you added a couple additional high-end graphics cards in a SLI or Crossfire setup, you could require a thing much more, but I doubt it. lots and lots of connections. comes in a velvet bag with a carrying case for all them cables. why are the pci-e power connectors built into the psu? they're not removable, why? this is for a server i don't need pci-e power connectorsalso kindof high-priced we'll see if it's as reliable as it really should be for the expense

Bought four-four-11It's operating: Ahead of I bought this I read as a lot of critiques as I could ie: Johnny Guru's, Hardware Secrets, Anand Tech ect. All of which gave this PSU their highest rewards and some of which proved this could have very easily passed Gold certification and puts out 1000watts of clean energy if required. This CPU has some of the cleanest Ripple/Noise signals of any PSU, only beat by a extremely couple of with superb voltage regulation.It's heavy (Very great sign), good long cables, I actually like the flat cables and sheer quantity of cables included. None My rig isn't capable of pulling 850 watts and it's quite properly ventilated so I cannot get the fan to run at full speed but when stressing the CPU and GPU it's nonetheless dead silent. modular on the periphal plugs,hardwired to the key pci-e plugs and 24 pin and 8 pin energy plugs this is a very good notion as to keep from having any likelihood for a energy loss due to an extra connection,lotsa additional plugs flat wired connectors easy to route the wiring and getting flat assists with airflow really none coulda been more affordable! lol Excellent warranty and as with most all Corsair item they seem to live up to their name and reputation

So Far so Good, Had some issues in the Beginning, but I managed to figure the Complications 1 at a time. This Power Supply is bigger and heavier than your normal average 850 Watt, but taking into consideration the workmanship, it can overlooked considering that this comes with a 7 year Warranty! The Greatest most Expensive PSU I ever bought to date. I'll let you guys know in 7 years weather this PSU is worth it or not! lol!

over a year and still kicking ***. I have moved, replaced, and filled my pc to the brink and never reach the breaking point. It looks wonderful and the modular feature is so worth it. The clutter no cost PC looks awesome and breaths fantastically. Mine takes air from below so this was extremely critical to me (sliverstone rv01). NONE!

I genuinely impressed with this ps. Normally by pc energy and cooling stuff for my high finish program. This time i wanted a modular ps. Runs my setup with out a sweat. Nothing that i have come across however Definitely liked the finish on this baby. Also the bag that u can keep the spare cables in was a good touch

A lot of power for SLI or XFire. Modular style. Even quieter and cooler than my ABS Tagan 700W (Best psu ever) Particularly satisfied. Came with an extra floppy connector that you can connect to a the molex. Good for cable management if you even have a floppy drive... Sata and Molex connector spacings are very close. Had to run an extra sata cord to power my optical drive in a Full atx case. No LED light. Came in a bag (nice but, some instances will scratch psu anyways.)
