Located out there is no such factor as overkill when it comes to the lifesblood of your program. No such thing at all.Only genuine con is it's not an AXG Okay now to the meat and potatoes. I got my system back in June. And it was running great. Play Call of Pripyat at full power on DX11 settings. No major deal, I'm sure lots of you guys run far more demanding Games than this. But you by no means know what you had til it's down. I've been down for almost four months and all due to the fact I decided to sleeve my method. Still not entirely finished but it's a superior thing that Corsair includes sufficient cables to spare......Becoming a sleeving n00b, I dove appropriate in willy nilly and didn't look back. Large mistake. If you do this make positive to have extra pins on hand and the tool to crimp them. ฬ+ shipping. Nicely getting light in the wallet I tried to use my 500 PSU(fairly new) and couldn't get my method to the OS. Turns out my MoBo/CPU/GPU/RAM and RAID setup + LED Fans and Cooler was just too a great deal and the furthest it would go was to BIOS. It was so poor my CPU hit 60c within five minutes flat. You never know til you're down. Just got it back up and working this week! |

Comment:
Modular--850-- much more than enough for me and my partsperfect color Fantastic Newegg shipping! This Corsair 850w power supply is generating a electrical sound that is driving me crazy, it's the loudest thing coming from my tower. I thought it may well have been me not connecting points wright but i checked around and found no challenge that could trigger this sound. So before things turn out to be worse i want to get rid of this one and attempt a different, hopefully the subsequent one will function.. And if not then I'm moving on to one thing else other than Corsair. This Con isn't some thing I'll take an egg from, factors happen i just hope the subsequent 1 is much better. This energy supply is replacing my last 1200w power supply b/c that died in four months, so I'm attempting to go w/ one thing that is recognized to last. |

CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX) 850W Power Supply
Cons:The modular cables
Pros:Modular80+ SilverGreat ConstructionGood power for the price Comment:
This PSU is everything I think I will ever need, I just needed something to replace my OCZ 700W when I dropped in a second 5870. The PSU is build solid, the cables are just the right length for my 650D, the fan is silent, and I can tell this unit is gonna last a long time.My major complaint is the modular cables. They are not sleeved, but rather a ribbon type arrangement. This is problematic in two ways: The 24pin, 8pin, and 2x6+2pin cords perminately attached to the PSU are sleeved and look nothing like these cables. Next, The modular PCI-e cables are horrible. The eight wires are run in two sets of 4, so they come apart in the middle, and they have this stupid cylindrical object near the card-side of the cable. But my complaints are all cosmetic, and I would still strongly recommend this unit, as it is just all around well-built. |

CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX) 850W Power Supply
Cons:
none
Pros: Corsair brand, modular, quite, very stable Comment:
Perhaps the most over looked piece of hardware in your pc is the psu. Don't cheap out on this item it will bite you on the behind, guaranteed. Corsair makes some of the best psu out there and this one is no exception. An absolute piece of art. The modular cables are a must for cable management and helps with air circulation as well. 850 watts of pure power. and must for any serious gamer. |

Pros: quietreliableefficient Comment:
Very quiet psu with tonnes of power. I'm running an i7 920 at 4ghz, gigs of ram, gtx 470 sli asus xonar dx on an asus rampage II extreme. Also have 6 hhds hooked up with varios other peripherals. This psu runs all that dead silent. I'm not a fan of the flat cables though as they take a little managing to look nice and clean. Case is an antec skeleton. I would highly recommend this psu! |

CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX) 850W Power Supply
Cons:
A bit pricey
Pros: Best PSU I have used. Comment:
This is the best PSU I have ever used. Not 'one of'.I came from the Antec Q850W, which is in the similar price range, and died on me twice in a month. This Corsair is better. Quiet, and powerful. Go to any of those review links and you get the details. One thing you should be aware is that although the modular cable from the Antec could be plugged into this PSU, the pin are different. I noticed this right after I power on my PC. And this PSU shut down itself to protect my hardware. Fortunately, nothing was damaged. |

CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX) 850W Power Supply
Cons:
Pricey...really pricey
Pros: Best PSU in it's class and in the product line Comment:
If you're looking to save money, the XFX 850W is also a good power supply, but $50 cheaper. If you want the best, and don't mind paying a premium on it, than this is your PSU. While waiting for my order, I browse around the Markham warehouse, and saw the shelves of PSUs. This one was definitely the largest box on the shelf, even larger than the HX1000. |

CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX) 850W Power Supply
Cons:
Price tagNot fully modular; Other manufacturers provide fully modular, gold rating PSUs for cheaper (seasonic).
Pros: Over and under volt protectionQuietStable power output Comment:
This is not a bad PSU; although I do regret purchasing it. For the same price, I would have been able to purchase a Seasonic fully modular gold-plus rating PSU; which produces far less noise and heat.Either way, this PSU will deliver, and the 7 year warranty isn't bad. |

CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX) 850W Power Supply
Cons:
Semi-modular
Pros: 80+ silver rating, 7 year warranty, quality, stable power Comment:
$180 well spent. For the price you would expect a fully modular power supply. I had a bunch of cables nested in a bundle inside the bottom of my 800D. Note, the modular plugs are different than the 550TX cables so I had to recable everything; not an issue though. Nonetheless, minimal complaints on this product. Solid. |

Cons:
Cost could drop another 15-20$
Pros: Great WarrantyExcellent Quality constructionModularPerformance Comment:
The Corsair 850 Modular is fantastic. More than ample enough power for i7 set ups with DX11 GPUs. Can even support a lot of Cards in Xfire or SLI (though the GTX 4xx series might need a bigger PSU for SLI). It's great for keeping cables tidy, runs reasonably cool and quiet for such a big PSU |

CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX) 850W Power Supply
Cons:
8 pin EPS cable on the short sideSATA power cable arrangement
Pros: Great priceTons of powerModular, with tons of extra cables Comment:
Corsair's HX850 is definately one of the best power supplies out there. The semi modular cables make cable management a breeze since you don't have to find somewhere to hide all the unused cables. It even comes with two floppy adapters, for anyone still using those things. However, the 8 pin power cable is a little on the short side and I would have preferred if they I could daisy chain one of the SATA power cables going up instead of going down, but in the end, that's not a big deal. The HX850W is a solid power supply that has enough juice for all but the most extreme power-hungry builds. |

CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX) 850W Power Supply
Cons:
Didn't want to work at first
Pros: ModularEfficientLots of connectorsLong enough cables Comment:
Although it's only semi-modular, the cables that are attached will all be used so it's okay.Oddly the power supply won't turn on for me at first. I tried shorting the two pins to turn the psu on to see if it was a psu problem or mobo problem. PSU won't turn on but 5 seconds later it magically turned on. Plugged it back into the mobo and everything works |

Pros: modularefficientcomes with a bag that smells good Comment:
The bag has a smell that reminds me of paint thinner, i love it. The psu is modular, comes with plenty of cables and it is efficient. |
Great energy supply. Program was shutting down with old supply, that has ended with this supply. First one produced a loud buzzing sound and RMA'd it back to Newegg. Second ones energy cord connector is loose and cord can be jostled loose simply which shuts down personal computer.
