The system I put it in would only see it as 512 meg even believed there was a matching stick identical speed. After searching on the stick there have been some numbers that were distinct. the motherboard I was adding memory to was a P4 board and it is three years old and so is the memory. I put it in my Athlon X2 500+ and it worked fine. the P4 board is a jetway board so that could be why. The board only supports 533mhz but the memory in it is 800mhz and runs at 533. these sticks may possibly not like operating at that speed. can't give it a con since it worked on my other system just fine. And if it did not perform I was going to add it to my program anyway. If this is an older motherboard it may well not work. will perform on newer board just fine.
