Place all three sticks of ram in every little thing worked. The ram was underclocking itself, so I set it back up to 1600, worked with no difficulties for a handful of days then it would start only registering four gigs of ram, ran memtest three times no errors. I would restart the machine and six gigs of ram would come back. Then applications started crashing(World of Warcraft kept crashing citing memory difficulties as the result in) Sent this back for refund, picked up new stuff at a neighborhood store. (New stuff hasn't bring about a single crash) If you want to use this with ASUS P6X58D Premium motherboard, discover one thing else, you will only have problems with this ram.

Small heat sink. Tested best under MEMTEST86+ after using proper bios settings. Calls for Bios changes to match rated voltage... not for the faint hearted. At initial only two sticks had been working, and Windows was erroring alot. I raised the DRAM voltage from 1.five to 1.64V and manually set the latency to spec 9-9-9-24. Also raised DRAM speed from default 1066 to 1333. Following this, I've had no difficulty. I could attempt 1600, because that is the spec.

All 3 sticks checked out fine using memtest I went with this DDR3 1600 RAM due to the fact of the x58 core i7 description but it did not operate with my evga x58 3-way sli board and core i7 920. When operating at my BIOS default settings at 1066, I would get random BSOD in Vista 64-bit. With XMP enabled and at 1600, I would get the BSOD on Windows startup.Corsair wasn't specifically overly beneficial when I opened a assistance request.
