Really quiet until it hits max speed, and even then it's not that loud.Very effective.4 wire PWM fan - most newer BIOS's will allow you to manage speed based on temps.Excellent value.Works with just about any socket at the moment on the industry. Size. This sucker is big. My cpu employed to idle around 50-55C and would hit 70-75C beneath complete load. Toasty! At present, I've been streaming video for more than an hour and it's been sitting about 50% load the entire time - and it has however to break 42C.My old heatsink, which came with the CPU, sounded like a vacuum. Now all I can hear is the video card fan...

Wonderful worth, not as stupefyingly ginormous as some other huge HSF units out there. - The included thermal paste isn't worth the plastic tube it comes in.- The heat pipes are flush with the mounting surface so as to make direct contact with the CPU. This demands careful application of thermal paste as the grooves amongst the pipes and the mounting surface *must* be filled.- It was a actual hassle to set up onto my LGA1156 board due to the fact of those cursed plastic push pins. It took me 20 minutes to get it secured mainly because the bloody items kept bending and threatening to break off fully. They are the absolute bane of my existence as a Computer enthusiast. Intel Core i5 750 Lynnfield 2.67GHz CPU OC @ 3.33GHz- SpeedStep disabled 鲤% continual overclock)- Max Idle Temp: 38C- Max Load Temp: 70CNot negative. I'd rather the idle temp be lower, so I may well add an additional fan to the cooler sometime.

I bought this cooler mainly because it was a single of the only ones that would fit in my case and nevertheless allow me to close it. It cools amazingly for ฤ. Will obtain for all my builds from now on. Totally absolutely nothing I installed this in a Thermaltake VI1000 case with 120mm fans front intake and rear exhaust. Using the stock Intel cooler on my Core2Quad Q8300, it would idle at about 90F and got up to 175F soon after only three mins of Prime95's torture test. Not acceptable. Following putting on the TX3, I booted up and ran Prime95 for 30 mins and only hit 130F, thats significantly much better. It now idles at a cool 78F and barely moves beneath regular use. I'm sure temps will lower further once the thermal paste fully cures. This cooler rocks for a fairly small, low-cost cooler.System:Intel DG45IID MoboIntel Core2Quad Q8300 two.five Ghzsix GB Kingston Hyper-X DDR2-6400 Ram500 GB Caviar Black HDDLG Sata DVD Burner64-bit Win-7 UltimateCoolmax 500w Modular PS

Value and capacity to be utilized in far more then 1 platform. At initially it did not make a lot of a deference from the stock heat sink and fan, even although it is larger and has a far better fan. Looking closer I noted the tubes that are exposed at the foot-plat was not precisely even. Some fine sand paper did the trick. As well bad that Cooler Master could not locate the time to get this little annoyance corrected ahead of it lift the assembly line. Undesirable QC on their portion. Did not deduct an egg as the unit functions perfectly soon after correcting the problem but I would advise obtaining one thing else if you do not really feel you have the time or practical experience to sand the heat plate down.

Price; cost me only 22$ so to me its worth it.Push-pin installation; which means I don't have to eliminate my motherboard that I installed six months ago just to upgrade my CPU cooling unit.Cool; I was in a position to overclock my i5-750 to three.36GHz with a Prime95 load temperature of 66C and idle temp of 42C (which isn't good but I am only actually concerned with load temp). Also, please note that I did not clean off the old thermal paste on the cpu as instructed and only utilised a 1ǘcm of the thermal paste supplied by Cooler Master (most individuals suggest/use Artic Silver five). Installation; in the sense the push-pins by the fan are going to be a challenge for those with large hands/fingers but luckily for me I have tiny hands/fingers.3000RPM; it tends to make noise, not jet-engine noise like the Ultra Kaze case fan but its not silent. Pros:Light enough to clip on without having to access back of motherboard, pretty quiet variable-speed fan, comprehensive mounting equipment
Comment:
This is a fairly lightweight heatsink/fan combo that is a small but noticeable upgrade over a stock CPU cooler. It's not as effective as larger/more expensive coolers, but it should be quite quiet.I've read though can't confirm that the heat pipes are not perfectly flush with the plate, so I used more thermal compound than I would have otherwise. The package comes with plenty.I'd recommend this cooler to anyone with a lower-end CPU who wants to reduce their system's noise, but not to an overclocker necessarily.

The price tag at ฮ is amazing for the cooler. It runs quietly, has a good airflow, and is significantly superior than stock. With the stock cooler of my AMD Phenom II X6, I was obtaining mid 60's. With this heat sink, temp dropped down to high 30's.It also provides the choice for a second fan, which ought to be a straight forward installation. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103070Several people have complained about fan installation or problems with installing, but these folks must have a screw loose themselves. Guidelines are very clear, and installation requires no far more than three minutes. If this is also complicated, maybe sticking with stock is essential.Good multiplatform heatsink. Cons:Slightly on the large size, you need to measure it if it would fit properly in your caseSlight difficult to understand installation instructions, If this isnt your first time using a aftermarket hsf then its no problem.

Pros:Compatible with almost all sockets, I have 2 installed - One in a FM1 AMD socket and a LGA 775 Socket (Ive had one already for several months prior to my second purchaseComes with fan mounting brackets, screws, thermal paste, everything you need to hook it up

It works great at cooling down both computers with the giant heatsink it has and continues to keep it cool even at full load! I would definetely buy it again (and will infact do for a future build soon)

Finest bang for the buck. Outstanding heat transfer. Compatibility to numerous socket forms. Comes with extra fan mount (although I have never used it). Directs heat straight to exhausting situation fan in most tower circumstances. Quiet. Cord length is wonderful. Thermal paste - the stuff that comes with it, I utilised it 1 time but ended up cleaning it off and used Arctic Silver. I just didn't like the thickness of the stuff that came with it. Some tips:Clean surface of chip and heat plate / pipes with high purity alcohol initially. Wear latex gloves to stop physique oil make contact with. Finalize cleaning with a lint cost-free cloth (similar to a lens cloth for your glasses or LCD / Plasma Television). Apply the bracket HW according to your chip / socket kind. AMD - you're fairly substantially very good to go and there's not significantly operate involved. With Intel you will need to screw the arms on to the underside of the base. The screw holes are slightly different in there spacing to accommodate the socket variety, so make certain prior to you put all of that operate into screwing the arms down you examine to make confident you are aligning the appropriate holes. I, personally, use a drop of red (permanent) thread lock on the tiny screws. I am weary of thermal expansion and contraction more than time loosening the tightness of the screws. Draw the thermal paste into the pipe grooves on the heat plate and then smear the plate "clean" with a CC, four drops of paste on the proc and mount!

I run an AMD Phenom X2 555 with all the cores unlocked. With the stock heatsink I was receiving idle temps about 47c-48c, and load temps that I don't even want to believe about. With this cooler, combined with Arctic Silver five, I have stock temps of 34c-35c and load temps of 48c. Not poor. I'm not positive if this is a problem, but even at an idle of 35c the fan moves about 2100 rpm. It appears a small bit high, it's not that loud, but it seems to me that it ought to be lower. Will definitely fit any mid sized tower. If you are not receiving the temps you are looking for out of this cooler but don't want to return it, it may well be worth receiving a second fan for a push pull configuration.

On an old core two duo (e4300), overclocked to 3.two ghz, with new ceramique thermal paste, I was getting core temps. of 155-160 deg. (F).Immediately after installing the cooler master Hyper TX3, same setup, i have but to go over 105 deg., even when operating many, demanding apps. Fan is reasonably quiet. Works for Intel 775, 1156, and AMD. I've now purchased three additional. Secured to MB by the very same, lame sort twisting-plastic push-pin technologies that comes on the intel stock coolers -- no underside bolt-on plate or anything to hold it tight (took off 1 egg for that). Be Positive you have sufficient room in your case, this issue is tall. Check the measurements, carefully.

Easy to Set up (with two exceptions, see other thoughts)Delivered in two days. Yay UPS (and this time they really left it inside my residence and not in the rain -.- ) Noisy. It ought to be running at full speed constantly. I can't discover a way to adjust the speed but.Directions kinda blow, but the issue is pretty darn effortless to set up so not a massive conOnly slightly a lot more successful than the stock fan that came with my i7 860Idle temps are about the very same, or 1C higherEven so it keeps my cpu about 3-4C cooler following gaming. Installation was relatively simple, even so I have two complaints.1) A single of the holes was threaded incorrectly. Every single screw (I tried them all) would want to go in at an angle no matter what I did. It made it a royal pain to get any screw in all the way. I'm certain this is just one particular of those flukes, but nevertheless...2) Most likely due to my inexperience with fans, but I didn't know which side to location the fan on the heatsink haha. The directions in no way seriously told you (directions are primarily photos btw. Words are on the other side, but extremely Extremely brief)I place it on backwards 1st. Strangely adequate, I saw no difference in CPU temp. I did notice no air was coming out the back although lol.Reversing the fan gave me about 10C greater temps at starup (????) but immediately after 5-10mins it cooled down to my common stock temps.I'm gonna give it a couple of far more days. It's incredibly hot currently, so maybe that's the cause I'm not seeing a distinction.I'm in all probability gonna RMA and go back to my stock fan

Every process I've built I've utilised the stock fan and overclocked it just a bit. This time I decided to attempt this cooler with the goal of superior overclocking w/o breaking the bank. The cooler was quite effortless to install. It installs the similar way the stock cooler does. It's installed on a Core i5-760. I have not overclocked it yet ... generating sure every little thing is stable. Employing Core Temp: All four cores hover at 28-32C making use of Win 7. Right after playing Mass Impact 2 and Just Result in 2 the cores sit at 47-50C. Quite Very great. Quite pleased. Can't wait to overclock. Prime 95 also tops out at about 47-50C. Finally, the highest quantity I've noticed on a core is 54C and that was suitable prior to the fan sped up dropped the temp to the upper 40s. None. The attached fan blows air through/across the fins. Make certain you orient the cooler correctly so you're not fighting the airflow.BTW: This process is built inside of an old Antec Sonata case ... I'm finding these numbers with the side panel on ... once again, incredibly happy with the efficiency.
