I run an AMD Phenom X2 555 with all the cores unlocked. With the stock heatsink I was receiving idle temps about 47c-48c, and load temps that I don't even want to believe about. With this cooler, combined with Arctic Silver five, I have stock temps of 34c-35c and load temps of 48c. Not poor. I'm not positive if this is a problem, but even at an idle of 35c the fan moves about 2100 rpm. It appears a small bit high, it's not that loud, but it seems to me that it ought to be lower. Will definitely fit any mid sized tower.
