Comment:
Applied to cool a Phenom II X2 555 unlocked to quad. Idle temps around 35C. Judging by adding a couple of degrees to the System Facts For Windows TMP readings. As is already recognized the chip sensors are disabled when cores are unlocked.Cooling fins are cool to the touch. Was virtually going to obtain the Hyper 212 PLus but the cost was ผ.00 far more than expected at check out. The CoolerMaster page had it listed as ห.00 with Ū.99 shipping but ื.99 with the very same shipping at check out.Not a major overclocker so this is a lot more than adequate even with the unlocked cores. None at all. Quite simple to install and quiet. Employed the included thermal compound. Sufficient left more than for a couple of additional installs. No sense in buying arctic silver 5. We're only talking a couple of degrees difference with well beneath secure temps.

Comment:
Well, its very good for the cost. Cools well. Nicely packaged. Fits a wide variety of socket kinds. A bit on the flimsy side, doesn't hold to the board all that well. Fan is loud. This is a great acquire in that it really does the cooling if mounted adequately. The mounting surface is flat, however there are several surface troughs that want to be filled in. Take your pick if you want to lap it, or tint it. I went with Arctic 5 and tinted (rubbing in a bit of paste to fill the troughs leaving a "haze" of material only) it and did the normal 1mm wide strip on my I5-760. However, it actually is keeping issues cool. Idle temps at 31-35C, Below load its 51-55C at stock settings. Must be a fantastic amount of headroom to OC right after I break every little thing in.

Comment:
Installed this with my Athlon II X2 240. With the stock heatsink, I was getting idle temps around 35 degrees celsius idle and about 51 degrees on load. With this, my idle temps are around 26 idle and 36 load. With that kind of drop, I seriously have no area to complain. It's quiet, also. Picked it up elsewhere for ฤ. Worth each penny. It's fairly big. With a fan installed on the side of my case, the top rated of the heatsink is much less than an inch away from that. It was also a bit tough to install, even though it was more figuring out the best way to go about performing it.

Comment:
Low-cost and fits all modern day sockets. New and enhanced fan mounting. Dropped my CPU temps 15C from stock cooling on an AMD 735. Great included thermal paste. Speak to surface could be greater. Don't waste your income on fancier thermal paste, the stuff included is just fine. The most up-to-date revision has very great fan mounting brackets instead of those wierd wire points.A excellent worth in the low finish.

huge, looks like it will work good loose fit, can very easily be slid and moved around when "secured" fell of quickly when I was installing video cards. Lousy clip process for AMD boards... Rapid and effortless installment on my New Asus P5Q Mobo.. the directions are a little weird at very first... Seriously spend attention if your installing it on a AMD chipset board... theres allot additional to installing the Thermal on that chipset board.. as for Intel boards its a breeze. The Plastic plugs that go into the motherboard could be a small a lot more of a sturdier plastic but can't seriously complain to significantly for a exceptional thermal from a outstanding firm like Cooler Master. I'm Incredibly thankful it came with thermal paste :D I completely forgot to get some... I'm possibly going to switch it out to atic silver five although when I go to clean the CPU again in about 6 months.. appears like a genuinely sloppy paste but it'll due till then.

It functions, quite quiet but 1st. the botom is not a smooth flat, you'll have to develop this surface your self. (the heat pipes are exposed an creates a gap among the alluminum and copper. 2nd.I have a HTPC and the case was about 1ǚ of an inch too brief, so I employed in an additional Computer.3rd. it doesn't appear to move a fair amount of air even at complete speed and I suppose thats why it is so quiet based on which CPU you use this on will reall rely on your temps, example: I very first utilized this on a E3200 Celeron temps @ idle were about 31 cel. I then swopped out with a E6600 Core 2 Duo temps read 40 cel @idle

Cons:Noisy and big

Pros:Does its job for the price
Comment:
This is a good alternative to the stock cooling fan. Does its job for the price and even allows a decent overclocking value. The only problem I have is that it is kind of very noisy. There's an option to add an extra 92mm fan which I did and it's even more noisy and bigger but allows for better cooling. I'm running the same overclocking values with a good 10-12 degrees minus than the stock cooling fan. So for the price, it's good.

Comment:
Feels solid. looks excellent. Comes with everything you want to add a second fan. Dropped idle temp by about 12 degrees celsius more than my stock i5 heatsink. (also employing arctic silver 5). I in fact had to glance at the directions =O For you intel men and women, be sure you press every pin in adequately... those men and women complaining that this thing doesn't work most likely did it incorrect.Fan is 92mm. Unless you jerry rig it, a normal 80mm fan won't work as the second fan. You'll require to get a 92.Spread the thermal paste your self. Don't just put a bit in the middle and put the heatsink on.

Comment:
I purchased it for ฤ with shipping, that's quite inexpensive for a 3 heatpipe heatsink. The develop quality and cooling performance is pretty great for a low end cooler. Super quiet when you're undertaking basic function such as watching videos, word processing or browsing net. (remember to set the PWM function in BIOS so that the mobo slows the fan down in the course of idle).Installation for AM2 AM3 is super effortless; guarantee it takes less than five minutes if you have modest hands. Particularly loud when my Phenom II 940 is more than 60% load. The fan tends to make a resonating humming sound at around 1800-2200 rpm. Any speed more than 1600rpm is audible.Cooling efficiency is slightly greater than stock, about 5C cooler idle and 10C below full load. I noticed that the base of the heatsink doesn't fully cover a AMD CPU's heat spreader. I purchased this mainly because I didn't want to devote time and effort installing a heavy 12cm heatsink. I don't overvolt my CPU, so I believed this thing may possibly function better than a stock AMD heatsink (which it did, but I'm not impressed). I would recommend sticking to stock heatsink if you want to save cash. Get a 12cm heatsink if you want a quiet pc. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,We apologize for any inconvenience. I bought this mainly because it isn't too big and it was easy to install on an AM3 Gigabyte GT-770T motherboard (no removal of the motherboard is crucial). The unit snaps onto the existing AM3 MB bracket with ease and comes close to the memory, but allows just enough clearance. The fan is also quiet. With the this cooler and MX-three I have approximately five-10 degrees cooler temps at idle and ten+ degrees under load over the stock heat sink. The price is also a plus. None. It performed as I expected or far better. For the dollars this cooler has been excellent so far. It cools sufficient to permit moderate overclocking on my Phenom II 560 with two unlocked cores. The size and straightforward installation is also just right for most moderate builds.

its low cost, and it works wonders compared to stock HSF that came with my phenom II x4 955 BE, that stock 1 was so loud and my cpu would hit 58c under load in COD and GTA fourwith this HSF it by no means goes above 46c under load and at idle the lowest i see is about 31c and i also utilized antec silver pasteOH AND U CAN EXPAND TO A SECOND FAN!! none acquire it

keeps my amd 940 quad at about 30-32C and 45-50C under full load. stock cooler was into the 40's at idle so about a 10 drop in temp at least. for the cost you can't beat it. I added the second coolmaster 92 mm fan for about บ. fans are quiet. I noticed the bottom looked like it was ground on some sort of belt sander and becoming a machinist knew that it most likely was not flat. took it to function and lapped it on a surface plate. superior to go now.

I bought this cooler off of a internet site that is named right after a tropical rain forest (can't put competitors' names here) considering that it is only ฤ.00 there. Installation of the brackets was effortless, and when I got them in, I took the fan off (mine had the uncomplicated-clip style, not the metal clips in the CM video). Installation of the heatsink and fan itself was rather challenging, but I'll get into that in the Cons. After installation, I booted up my computer system, which has an AMD Athlon ii x3 @ 2.9ghz (Rana), and I instantly noticed the distinction. The fan is super quiet, and if you use speedfan, the fan speed can be manually adjusted. My cpu employed to reach temps of around ㅖC when idle, and when playing somewhat demanding games (RTW), generating cd's, and even watching Netflix, it would reach up to 95C. This heatsink/fan combo would bring my temps down to 17C idle and 30C on 100% load (running prime95 for a very good hour or so)! Overall, I am Really pleased with this product The installation of the heatsink was a discomfort for me, but I believe that it had one thing to do with me owning a mini ATX case. This cooler fits inside of a mini ATX case (mine is some old HP Compaq one). Comes with thermal paste, which I tried. It is essentially decent contemplating that most pastes that come with cpu coolers are atrocious. Comes with screws to fasten yet another fan onto the heatsink.I installed yet another 92mm on the heatsink, and the push/pull configuration is genuinely fantastic; my temps are a lot much better now! (Running 17 idle and 25@ 100% load).Actually great item!

Direct heat pipe contact. Great air flow appropriate into the exhausting case fan of a Micro ATX case! Keeps an O/Ced three.2Ghz (from 2.8) Phenom II X3 at 37.7C on all cores (and 46C CPU total) under full load pressure test. I love this factor. This is the 2nd 1 I have installed. The thermal compound in the package is terrible. But if you're buying an aftermarket cooler, you're possibly plannign on working with a far better right after market place thrmal compound. Applied with Arctic Cooling MX-2.

Superb cooling resolution. When paired with some year-old Tuniq TX2, it keeps my core i7 860 OC'd to three.6GHz at 29-30c idle and in no way past 65c load ࿙c max during the night). I am particularly impressed. Not a fan of push pins. Had to re-seat the cooler following I climbed to 90c load on the very first create-up. Push pins are a pain.

Works great for moderate overclocking. If you plan on making use of 1.5v than it wont be sufficient or atleast it wasnt for me. My Athlon II X4 640 hits 55*c when making use of a CPU tension test. The instructions tell you nothing about installing this thing. It was kinda lame how it took me 20 mins to figure this thing out lol. As soon as you do although it isnt all that bad. I have a little case so that made it a small harder. Cant be beat for the cost. I would get a Hyper 212 cooler if I had room.

Just the appropriate size. Adequate cooling capacity for much less than extreme gaming but moderate over-clocking. Light enough it doesn't call for reinforcement installation to the back side of the MOBO. Directs air in identical direction as rear case fan. Incredibly uncomplicated to install. Quiet fan blade design. Comes with fan pre-installed with secure plastic clips and not the mount technique shown in the video. The heatsink compound is comparable to Arctic Silver. The AM3 mount method is secure and easy to use. Nothing wrong with the style for mounting on my ASUS M4A87TD EVO board in a mid-tower case. There is room for the DDR3 memory cooling spikes which are incredibly close on this board. I looked at them all and discovered this cooler. If you will need a cooling enhance, this 1 works wonderful for the AMD user.

Simple installation Worthless given that stock performs just as 'well' running my i5-750 at 40c idle 74c load (hint: so does stock)I tried reseating about 7 or 8 times, and never ever has it approached the temperatures i read about on the net. I've also tried 3 or four unique TIM application strategies, 39c idle is the greatest i've ever gotten from this cooler.Case is antec 300 and the airflow really should be typical to great.I regret purchasing this.
