NONE Terribly tough to set up, nearly ruined my motherboard, even with one of my good friends helping me. i have under no circumstances had such a hard time installing something into a laptop in my life. tempes are barely two degrees cooler than my stock cooler for my 17-950 stupid cooler Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer - We apologize for any inconvenience. Please make contact with us for technical support if you demand help in installing the cooler in query. I have attached a hyperlink to our video displaying how to set up this cooler as properly. You can contact via Reside Chat or by way of Phone at 1-888-624-5099 ext . 603 for technical help. In regards to the cooling, idle temperature is not the goal of after industry cooling. Load temperature is where aftermarket coolers such as the V8 shines. You will notice a dramatic lower of temperature when it comes to one hundred% load. i7 920 C0 Stepping, Overclocked to 4.0GHz, runs stable and clean @ 80-85C beneath complete load for hours upon hours upon hours...does specifically what it's supposed to do, keeps the CPU cold as ice! None. None.

Cools great and quiet! Massive! Instructions leave a lot to be preferred! I feel I oriented mine incorrectly covering up 1 slot of ram. Not a big deal unless I want to max out my ram! May well be overkill given that I doubt that I will ever overclock. But it was in my combo package so yippee!

Good Air Cooling if you use a really incredibly thin coating of Arctic Silver 5. Make certain to put on the heatsync and apply pressure but don't screw it down yet. Then take it off to make sure if your thin coating coated the complete CPU. Add some much more Arctic Silver 5 as required where needed in modest amounts until the whole CPU is coated and will make make contact with with this V8 beast. No copper, Heat pipes don't touch the CPU. This issue just barely fit inside my Roswel full mesh midtower case. Had to maintain pulling it back off to make certain the h/s grease was in a extremely thin layer but still making full get in touch with with no missed spots. My i7 950 would reach temps of 86 and 87 degrees celsius with the stock cooler while running folding@home SMP version. Immediately after installing this my Folding@home CPU SMP core temps dropped to about 55 degrees celsius.I was capable to over clock my i7 950 to a stable three.eight GHZ with Hyperthreading on. With IntelBurnTest I reached actual core temps of 83 max whilst more than clocked. I don't believe my CPU is very flat so I believe that is why my actual core temps have been so higher with the Intel stock Heatsync/fax .

Every thing install was a bit of discomfort but this is my initial cooler so i didnt know what to expect. i didnt understand i was gonna have to take out my complete mobo to hook this issue up. Ive only been making use of this for three days but so far ive been quite impressed. I have an athlon II X2 regor 240 Oc'd to 3.4ghz. With the stock heatsink and fan idle was 20c. immediately after an hour of prime95 my temp was 46c. Slap this beast of a cooler (and yes its big) and my idle temp is 14c and soon after an hour of prime95 i saw a higher of 26c! This cooler blew my thoughts! i honestly didnt believe i was gonna see that major of a difference. I have a complete size case and its a good point becasue i have about half of an inch amongst the side of my case and the best of the V8. I recomend this to every person with a case large enough to fit it. I did have to take a fan off that i had more than my ram but oh effectively.

I bought this because all the evaluations saying it was a decent cooler. Decent is very good adequate for me, and the looks is what determined my final buy. I program on carrying out some conservative overclocking, and this will be much more than sufficient. Running a I7 940 @ stock, I get 38 idle and about 50-55 under load with Intel burn test. on par with the greatest air coolers on the market place. I wanted to test Cooler Masters thermal compound, so I employed that prior to applying my arctic silver5, and temps were higher by 7-10 degrees. Horrible thermal paste, I don't suggest working with it. Stunning cooler, if you have to have a good hunting interior case, you can't go wrong with this cooler. Just maintain in thoughts that the there are subtle red LED's on this cooler if you need to match a particular color scheme.

I'm satisfied with the performance. Dropped my temps for an i7-950 about 8 degrees from stock cooler. Looks wonderful, if that's significant to you. Awfully massive. You can make your way via installation, but you'll be guessing at each and every step due to the fact the documentation and images are so poor. I looked a lots of set up videos on YouTube which only assisted a tiny simply because the brackets and backplate have modified over time. Would it seriously be that challenging, CoolerMaster, to at least show the path of air flow? Somewhere? Anywhere? Diagram in the set up instructions has the unit upside down as other individuals have noted.

Looks wonderful. COOLS COOLS COOLS. I've just installed my I5 2400k onto a Sabertooth mobo. After using the turbo mode and receiving in the four.2Ghz range, I in no way saw my temps go any greater than 62c. I took 1 egg away simply because I didnt like how the pins locked in on the best side brackets. It was a bit rough to tell if they were in the right position (center for me). Then when I was installing the back plate it was a bit tricky to be positive I was keeping the cooler flat on the processor. Its not terribly tough to install, but the directions were kind of weak. I did rather a bit of research and was just about to go to a Corsair H50 but am nonetheless not confident about a water device in my electronic case. Maybe some day. But for 60 bucks, it looks great in the case (Cooler master HAF X) and does the job extremely incredibly nicely.

Loads of surface area on this factor. It fits very nicely in my CM Cosmos, even with my custom window and 120mm.I'm amazed at how cool this is maintaining my P2 965 (lapped) @ 4.. With C&Q on, I'm idling at 26c, load won't touch 45c. CoolerMaster impressing me once again. Doesn't spend the rent. Wonder what it'd do if I stuffed a Delta 120 in there.Specs: MSI 790FX-GD708GBs Corsair (Dominator) DDR3-1600ABS 850 PSU2x eVGA GTX470 w/ Gelid aftermarket coolers(SLI enabled on CrossFire mobo through kernel patch: anatolymik sli)

Accompadates most any CPU over the final five years or so to the present, fairly quiet unless you have super sensitive hearing or if you have it total RPM, moves plenty of air for my AMD Phenom II X6 1090T B.E. CPU, fan RPM handle knob for the rear... does it's job relatively properly for the income and looks nice inside the case... not also typical searching and not also sci-fi searching. A touch far more effort is necessary to install compared to most others but not impossible if you know what you're truely carrying out. Yes the red LED's could be a bit a lot more noticable if you are wanting your case to glow like a club dance floor. At full RPM... the CPU fan noise level is noticable (but not overwhelming) if your room/office is quiet with absolutely nothing else producing noises (tv, radio, speaking, and so on...) Correct... this factor won't fit some situations "properly" but the NZXT M59 is Great for this monster and you can nonetheless maintain the side panel fan installed. For these who complain about low RPMs on the fan... if you have temp fan controls in your BIOS enabled (CPU Q-fan Manage)... that is most most likely why. The manage knob won't do a lot excellent when the BIOS is regulating the RPM speed more than the CPU temp.

Installed this and More than Clocked my Intel Core i7 975 Extreme to four.20 GHz on this and it was 100% rock solid stable even beneath one hundred% load on all 4 cores with eight threads employing Prime 95 x64.I recently installed a CoolIt Vantage ALC hoping to at least acquire the similar final results. However I had to back down to four.00 GHz to stay stable. Extremely recommend this to any person looking for a High End Cooler that can handle 4.00 GHz + on a higher finish CPU. Genuinely.... None, ok a single. The size. But for what it is capable of I can live with its size. Be confident you have a Large Case as it is necessary for this cooler.

This factor keeps a CPU ice cold! i have y Phenom II x4 955 BE overclocked to 4.2Ghz and this idles at 46C and maxes out about 72C. My stock cooler idled at 52C with a STOCK clock setting and maxed around 82C which is a key improvement. -Discomfort to install (requires two individuals if you want to be risk-free)-Thermal paste isn't te finest so just make confident to order some of our personal. I employed Arctic Silver on mine and it operates good.Just a minor detail truly. when ths beast is on it will cool like no other air cooler I've ever noticed -unseated my CPU twice because you seriously have to crack the nuts on the back, but was easily fixable-Seriously massive but still fits with a small room in my NZXT tempest-Make certain your standoffs are all adequately munted because not only is this heavy, but i may possibly also unseat your CPU if uneven in the slightest.

Great looking and excellent for aerobics. Fan seized up. CPU hit 80 Celsius. Technique appears a tiny choppy now. Probably damaged the CPU. Manual speed manage developed for rear mount is stupid simply because I have to crawl below the desk to adjust it. Auto-fan control on motherboard won't function due to the fact the stupid knob on the back of my system controls the speed. I leave my system on 24ǝ so I can access it remotely; also undesirable I can't crawl below my desk from 20 miles away to improve the speed when it heats up in the afternoon. The only safe solution is to leave it on highest (loudest) speed. What this means is that every single day when I get residence I feed the animals and do my daily aerobics finding below the desk to turn it down. Note to self...bear in mind to crawl under the desk to turn up fan each morning. I consider I can cancel my health club membership now. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer - We apologize for any inconvenience. Control speed of the fan depends on the motherboard. If the motherboard accepts pwm, it will automatically manage the speed of the fan unless disabled. If the fan is poor on the unit, we can get it replaced below warranty by way of the Element Request link below. Quite a few copper heatpipes pulling heat away from the cpu Fan is starting to die following 2 years of use, luckily its not also tough to replace it.The wires that go to the controller fall off, in particular if you are regularly replacing parts in your computer system. Great cooler, if they threw in a tiny greater fan and did a tiny greater job on the wires it would be best, but if I had to go back and choose a different heatsink again I would still possibly pick this one particular.

Runs my P820 under load at the identical temp I was idling at with my stock cpu cooler. Old cooler: idle 46'c, under load 55-60'c. V8: idle 39'c , under load 46-47'c. I would kinda like the fan speed manage knob to be up front in a five.25 inch drive bay rather of the pci slot on back. Tall cooler, I had to move a 120mm fan that is on the side on my situation to the outside on my case fo the v8 to fit.
