I got my Intel Core I7 950 to four.00ghz with no a hitch!Temps topped out at 69c whilst operating OCCT (hyperthreading disabled)Its quiet Required another set of hands in the course of installation Following reading some other critiques, I'm now not certain which direction the fan is blowing! I would assume that appropriate side up would have the fan blowing towards my exhaust fan? Now I will have to open my situation and double examine!

I have my cpu overclocked at 4.0GhZ with this, It keeps it operating at idle at around 35 C. At max it goes up to 54 C, and that is with 4 hours of anxiety testing. It also is really quiet, I have mine turned to the lowest setting since the fan doesn't actually do anything, it's truly the 8 heatpipes that do the work. The red leds could be a bit brighter but they still appear really cool. The heatsink is huge and it looks like an engine, a small too major for my tiny midtower case, had to take my side panel fan out but it's nevertheless good. Not entirely a con:This is so large, and very difficult to mount, my case also doesn't have a cpu cutout. When I was installing this I broke my CPU (AMD Athlon 640) Be quite careful when installing this. Even so, due to the fact I broke my cpu I was "Forced" To upgrade. I upgraded to a Phenom X4 955 BE, I have it at 4 GHz I program to upgrade my situation to a coolermaster hafx or an antec 1200 need to look sick in either.

Looks like you're installing an automotive portion into your rig, so fairly wonderful looking when it's all assembled. Fairly low cost for the amount of cooling surface. Adjustable manually via devoted knob. Not as well noisy. Clears DIMM slots really nicely so RAM with big heatsinks will perform; with one particular caveat**.**See Other Thoughts Only one middle fan, although not sure two would make any distinction. Not sure if it's the heatsink cooling so efficiently or what, but even at complete load it in no way gets warm to the touch even touching the heatpipes subsequent to the cold plate. Can be a bit tricky to mount, but steady hands, appropriate pin placement, and patience go a lengthy way (I mounted two by myself with no complications). Red LEDs were not as bright as I had hoped. Can be pretty loud at max, but what overall performance HSF isn't. This heatsink is incredibly tall so make certain you have at least 6.6 inches amongst socket on motherboard and side panel cover, side panel fan, ect. I only had about 9mm to operate with in a Cooler Master 690II Advanced situation so can only use one side panel fan. Decent noise to efficiency ratio; have to crank it up to be noticeable over situation fans. Have a 2600k at 4.8 GHz and beneath 100% load it generally by no means gets over 75c; at idle it keeps it 15-24c. **RAM clearance is excellent for most modules, but if you have taller ones like the Corsair Vengence removing them from slot A1 with may call for heatsink removal; other slots are fine. I'd give it a 9 out of ten.

Very cool (pun intended)It dropped my CPU temps at each idle, and below complete load by about 10F (Sorry, I don't do my temps in Celsius).Installed on an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Can't believe of any truly.. Was missing a screw that attaches the Intel/AMD brace to mount to the motherboard. Desires 4 screws, I only had three. I left a screw out on the bottom-most side in the hopes that the sheer weight of the cooler would help compensate. Regardless of how substantially cooler my CPU would be with it, it is cooler than stock regardless, and is undoubtedly considerably quieter. You have to eliminate the motherboard, and since I run a RAID0 on precise SATA ports, it was a bit of a hassle to recall which SATA cable went to which port Not a problem with the cooler itself :PI would rate this 5 eggs, but merely since of a missing component, it has to lose an egg. Other than that, I advocate this cooler!

Pros:unbelievably powerful, no cpu is too much for this thing, well built, good looking, fantastic performance

this is 100% compatible with 2011 socket, it is a fantastic cooler, will keep even the most overclocked beasts under control, i had it on the q6600 overclocked 1ghz and now i have it on the i7 3820 2011 socket. Work fantastic keeps my overclocked 3820 at 4.9ghz in the mid 30s and under full load at 59c. Crazy, i love it, great job coolermaster.

Cools my Core i7 950 incredibly properly, even when overclocked. Also is very quiet - I was surprised when I turned it on at first. It has a speed controller and even at the high speed I had to put my hand in front of it to make confident it was operating! Very Substantial! Double-examine the dimensions of your case ahead of you get this major boy. I have the Cooler Master HAF 922 Mid-Tower and it fits without having a difficulty. Smaller instances beware. A colleague of mine purchased a similar developed item, although he couldn't bear in mind the brand or model - it has two fans and he mentioned it is really loud. Stick with the V8, it is great!

Temps went from 41C to 25C idle. Load went from 65C to 41C.Fan adjust is kinda cool Identified it a pain to install. The Socket they supplied to secure the nuts for the mounting bracket was to modest for a single of the nuts which once more was a pain.Attaching the fan adjust knob to the mounting bracket was a headache. I required a different nut (which wasn't supplied) to make it operate. Aside form the installation the cooler is performing its job. Time to OC my 2600K

I was genuinely on the fence on if I really should go Water cooled or obtain the V8. The V8 dropped my CPU temp to about 25c idle and about 35-45ish on a full load. needless to say I'm rather impressed. As far as overclocking goes, this factor is a champ. You can get some fairly sick speeds from this cooler. none at the moment. Just like every person else says, verify if you have the area for this in your case. It's Enormous! I rock the Cooler Master CM690 II advanced and had no troubles with room. I didn't use the Thermal paste that came with the V8. As an alternative I utilised COOLER MASTER HTK-002-U1 Thermal Compound. Largely due to the fact it came with templates for you to use to get an even spread of compound with no mess.

This cooler is huge, make no error, installing it was horrible(i'm coming to the "pros" element), I had to dismantle my entire technique to do it - but I did it. I did not use the thermal paste that came with it, I utilised some diamond paste as an alternative and...I've never ever utilized a heatsink as remarkable as this 1(there's the "pro"). I'm able to run my 6-core AMD T-1055 at four.5GHz, totally stable. It's quiet...it operates truly well, no performance complaints to speak of. As far as I can tell, HTPC-Quiet actually, and that's with the side of the case taken off.(How's that for a "pro"?) This stupid factor is gigantic. Nothing at all could have prepared me for the sheer size of it; I can't place the side of my situation on any longer. However - Completely WORTH IT(for me). 6 cores....4.5GHz ...I've even hit four.7, it just blue screened right after a bit. The set up instructions didn't make a lot of sense as far as I recall, I ended up just figuring it out, so I don't really feel as well bad for the folks that couldn't do it without maiming their motherboards - it's a heatsink, not rocket science. I'd suggest this product to any person willing to deal with the truth it's huge beyond cause. Use in conjunction with diamond paste, it's effectively worth the additional bucks. I got my T1055 up to 4.5GHz under complete load at about 32'C. Maintain in mind, I applied diamond paste and it was winter. That getting mentioned, I'm nevertheless really impressed with this item's efficiency. I'd completely get from Cooler Master once again.

Maintain my 2500K running at 30C idle and under no circumstances breaks 40C at load. Fits fine in my CM Scout Mid Tower (however the top rated 120mm side fan will not fit with this cooler, just the bottom) None. Installation on my P67LE (socket 1155) was a breeze, I strongly suggest this cooler!

Where do I commence? This mammoth dropped my idle temp by ten degrees, and my load temp by close to 20! (i5 750, OC @ 4.0GHz).Construct quality is fantastic. Appears nice and sturdy, mounting is solid straightforward.LOOKS WICKED!!! All it requirements is an accesory belt operating on the top! Even though installation is straightforward, it is rather awkward. I did it myself, but possessing assist would have been best. Does require some force to hold the springs down to get nuts on.My CPU keeps complaining about getting cold... From what I've researched (this is my first aftermarket cooler), you can't do significantly far better without going liquid cooled. Based on knowledge so far, I'd tend to agree.Thinking about replacing the included adjustment knob with a gas pedal!

Challenging, and built sturdy. Had this case for about 5 months now and nothing has gone incorrect or broken. The quantity of fans that comes with the case, assists out a lot especially if you are operating a gaming machine. The blue LED fan on the front is a plus, but not a necessity. Seriously uncomplicated to disassemble for the most part and can be easily cleaned. At times it didn't appear like there wasn't enough space (It may well have just been a bad selection on my element, based on the amount of hardware I had.) The only other conflict I could believe of is the front panel can be a bit hard to take off. At least for mine it was.

Cool appear.Quiet.Cools well.Even though I know it isn't the finest after industry CPU fan on the industry, it is with out a doubt one particular of the much better searching ones. Personally I really like looking more than at my HAF X case and seeing this massive negative engine searching cooler sticking out.But not only does it appear excellent, it does it's job effectively, as nicely as do it while being quiet. When I initial got my Computer going I in fact believed it was broken simply because of how quiet it was (plus the fan manage nob wasn't carrying out something for me, but more on that in the cons). The size can make it tricky to install. Can't eliminate the control nob with out modifying it.When I went to attach this to my LGA 1155 socket mobo, I couldn't add it by way of the back door of my case, this isn't entirely the fault of the manufacturer even though, as the mobo I have (P8P67 PRO) is offset and the left screw holes are hidden behind the case wall. But if the bracket wasn't AMD on the flip side, I would have been fine as it wouldn't have been beveled as considerably. So as soon as I took my mobo back out of the case, I had to set the fan into the screw holes, and then flip it more than and set it on the fan in order to attach the mounting bracket. And as I stated in the pro's it does have a fan control nob. I figured it would enable me to manually adjust it to override the mobo's car fan speed controller, but sadly it can\'t, thus the nob is just mounted in my case mainly because I didn't want it to just dangle out the back where all my power cords are.... :(

Nice cooler. Keeps my CPU around 30 degrees when idling. Almost certainly no more than 45 degrees when beneath load. Purchased my V8 back in September. Fan bearings started to go out after about two and a half months. Loud clacking/rattling noise at particular fan RPMs. Had to turn up the RPMs to stop it from happening. Now it occurs at all RPMs. Incredibly annoying. Called CoolerMaster final week. They're sending me a replacement fan. Hopefully this one will last longer. This cooler is big. Make sure to check the dimensions.

As with all others looks cool, does effectively and so on. Combined with my tower I've pushed the limit of my quad core and it's sustained a cool 29ቺ C the entire time, I've but to see it go over even through gaming. It IS rather huge, so for the love of newegg make sure you measure individuals (HAF X Complete Sized tower I didn't have to worry) Also as with another review I saw, the thermal paste is a small on the little side, be certain to order something else as a just in case if you've never ever applied paste before; That is unless you believe you can get off without wasting even a small dribble. If there is a V8 cooler... is there by chance a V10 cooler?

As far as pros, I have nothing to say, that you can't figure out by seeking at it. It's incredible, keeping my Phenom II x6 1090t at about 19 degrees Celsius. It's whisper quiet, which is what a lot of people are seeking for these days. N/A This Heat sink is Huge. Be extremely cautious about picking this heat sink unless you are Completely sure that you have room to spare. I use the Cooler Master HAF 922, and amongst the heat sink and the 200mm fan, i had about 4mm of clearance.
