Wonderful cooler, looks wonderful. I truly really like the V8 on it mainly cause my car is V8 also lol Larger than I thought, but I wasn't shocked. Had a tiny difficulty putting in the RAM sticks considering that it's very close to the RAM slots. But got them in with no trouble. FA-Fa-fa-fa-flippin' massive!!! You much better get the Cooler Master HAF case, due to the fact this is like the hammer of Thor. AMD X6 idles around 26C and haven't observed it more than 40C under a load. Finest heatsink I've ever owned, have mercy. Depending on your case, the size is the most apparent. Possibly loud when set to full tilt.None of these are Cons in my circumstance, however. Apparently Al Gore hasn't heard of these...

Does exactly what it's suppose to, keeps the CPU cool. Not going to get it any cooler unless you go with water cooling. Runs quiet, looks cool but not too a lot of lights but does have some so you know it's on. As other individuals mentioned installation was difficult. Getting built several computers more than the years each for private use and professionally, this is the initially time I wish I had yet another set of hands. It's not that installing it is complex, rather it's just awkward to do by your self. I ended up putting it upside down, then lowered the mother board on top rated of it. This was immediately after several "dry" runs to assure it would function.

Good cooler. Does its job. This thing desires to be far more dust resistant. Now to take it off I require to disassemble almost everything. Newer again. If you want a fancy design, you will almost certainly want to look at this 1. But if you want reliability, remain away from it. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer - We apologize for any inconvenience. When I opened the box for the very first time and took a look at the wonder that is this CPU cooler, I knew that there was not going to be a hot processor anyplace in my home. This issue makes air conditioners look like handheld fans. Even the style of it tends to make one particular consider that there is a V8 engine cooling the processor. Mounting it was simple to do in the Cooler Master case that came with the NewEgg bundle. Just a couple of screws and it was on in a jif. It was simpler to install than any Intel CPU fan that I have ever installed. The fan manage is also brilliant. Just set it to max cooling and you know that there is a large engine inside creating it cold! When installing this fan, it is critical to connect any fan power or motherboard power near this thing initial due to the fact right after it is installed, there is no way to connect something near it since it is so darn massive! Rifle CPU Cooler? Much more like SHOTGUN CPU COOLER!

Keeps your CPU temp incredibly low.Very good for gaming. This heat sink is huge! Despite the fact that it functions particularly well, I would not suggest it for very first time builders. It will make wiring your machine a nightmare, and to be truthful you don't genuinely want it. The heat sink that Intel or AMD offers you will operate fine whilst saving you room in your laptop as properly as time installing. Instruction manual sucks also, but this product still functions really well!

Wonderful Cooling. Quiet operation. Keeps my AMD 1090t running beneath 30c at and idle and mid 30's in game. Huge! Be certain your case is deep adequate for it. Installation perhaps challenging for a initially DIY but not impossible. I've employed this cooler in 4 builds and adore it. I constantly maintain the rheostat turned up to max and the fan noise isn't noticeable.

Pros:Cools wellGreat for overclocking

Barely fits into my CM storm scout, but matches the illumination the case has.I just wish the LED had a switch, i may try to add one so i can turn it off with the case.

Very really, wish the GPU was this really. If you had been like me the only cause you would contemplate even getting a cooling unit is mainly because Intel stock fan is awful, and nicely this cooler looks Awesome! None, other than the need for a 3rd arm to put it in....so call your buddy :D

This factor keeps my OC'd 2600K cool beyond belief! Also has an adjustable fan control that mounts in 1 of the PCI brackets, very beneficial. Fits fine in my Antec Twelve Hundred V3 with some extra room to spare. Took two people to install this beast! Also, one of the pins was turned a bit and I had to rotate it back into place ahead of mounting. Make sure to check that your case will fit this cooler, I honestly didn't realize how huge this thing was till almost everything came in the mail.

Not much more to say other than its a beast and its operating so far. I have a Thuban 1055T chip overclocked to 3.2GHZ and it stays about 33C at rest and about 43C when running multiple programs and playing Starcraft 2 at max Vid. settings. Also very quiet. It's Huge lol. Only a issue with certain hardware and cases. I had to mount my side fan outside the case ( AZZA Solano 1000R) as it wouldn't shut all the way. Not a major deal and it looks cool. Also causes some difficulties fitting tall RAM on the ASUS Crosshair iv Formula motherboard. Also not too large of a deal since im running 2 sticks in the two and 4 slots. the 1 slot is tricky though. Overall a wonderful acquire. Didnt dock it any eggs simply because the cons had work-arounds and had been hardware particular.

The taller design keeps it out of the way of my memory slots, so those who have taller RAM or slots a little closer to the CPU really should have a decent fit.I was a small worried about my application of the thermal compound, but I need to have carried out okay. My CPU temp has not climbed above 39C even with some fairly intense pressure testing. It possibly assists that it sits in a HAF X which gives all the air circulation one particular could want. Not seriously a con, but it's too negative the LEDs aren't a small a lot more prevalent. They give a decent accent, I just wish they would show a bit more. As far as the fan controller itself, I leave it set to the highest setting and the mobo controls the fan speed. Noise has also been a non-problem. I can barely hear it even with my case open. My V8 blows from suitable to left (toward my rear exhaust) when installed as you can read the badge. Possibly some people have received units with the fan installed backwards(?).As this was my 1st develop and I don't have a lot to draw on for comparison, I locate this to be a very good-searching and effectively-performing cooler.

Fantastic CPU fan but... Does not fit in the Thermaltake V9 Blacx case. 1 of the very first parts to my new build but now I am stuck with it since it took me more than a year to order all my parts. Possibly Newegg will let me trade it in for a fan that fits the case.

Massive does not even start to describe the size of this beast. Make positive you have the space in your case to fit this mamma jamma! Has two small red LEDs. Idle temps around 29-33 deg C. Full load around 50-55 - keepin' it chill! I was way too excited to install this factor I somehow missed that it has a fan controller to put into a PCI slot. The thing is nonetheless wrapped about the heatsink and I'm unable to fish it out of there - going to have to take out my GPU to get to the thing. Snug fit in my Rosewill Armor case. Brackets had been an uncomplicated install on my 1155 ASUS Sabertooth P67 mobo.

Was decent for a though... Fan died after a year, and right after dealing with the horrible discomfort of mounting the factor on my mobo, I decided to just order a different heatsink. First and last time I get a Cooler Master item. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Consumer - We apologize for any inconvenience. Please make certain to keep the cooler clean of dust. This cooler is by far the very best option I produced. It keeps my i7 2600k @ four.3Ghz temps around 28-32 Idle and 65-68 Full load which is a substantial difference from 40-42 idle and 80 full load. I've had this for a small under a week which other could think about short time to give it very good rating. But this factor outperforms some of the liquid coolers or does just as great as them. The noise genuinely depends on how high you want the fan. If the CPU doesn't have considerably load on it you could just turn the RPM down with a manual manage it comes with. The cooler might be a small pricey but I ended up finding this as a combo with the 2600k, which was 1 of the finest selections I've made. i7 2600k @ 4.three GhzCM V8 Cpu CoolerAsus P8P67 DeluxeG. Awesome styling, fastasticly quiet, and keeps my cpu very cool.Only drawback was that after I put it on my board, the side of my case wouldn't fit back on beace the top of the cooler sticks out about a quarter of an inch past the side of the case where the side panel attaches.I'll get a new case or do a little modding so the cooler sticks out through the panel.

Keeps factors Cool and Very. Simple to assemble out of the box. Fit inside the case well (worked from a NewEgg DIY desktop). Seems built to last, extremely sturdy; I was intially concerned about leaving the rig verticle because of this massive contraption, but it bolts down solid.Making use of a COOLER MASTER Storm Scout tower and it fit beautifully. Wouldn't reall call these "Cons" but "Challenges":> It assists to have a different set of hands to mount this thing. It sits on springloaded screws so you need to have to apply some force to get the screws deep enough down to attach the nuts from the back. Physics here is operating against you if you're mouting this in a verticle tower. So I stedied the case with 1 hand and put pressure on the Cooling unit with the other although my wife attached the nuts. We did one "dress rehersal" then applied thermal paste and locked it down with no issue. > Also The speed manage knob demands to separated in order to mount to its plate. Mine was Incredibly tight, and I required to use pilars to get a grip on the knob to finally pull appart. Ended up scratching it (but its on the back of the rig so What ever). If I cared about the astectics I would have used a cloth or a thing betwee the pilars and the knob. I opted to connect the energy cables to the MB soon after mounting this monster... which might have been a mistake. It took some clever use of needlenose to get every thing connected (as this cooler was much less than an inch form the top wall of the tower). But at the very same time, its not super effortless to get locked down, and cables operating across the board would surely have made tha additional hard. So do a small planning just before putting it all together.

-Wonderful aesthetic excellent when I really appear into the case.-Good temperature manage, have hardly ever noticed the CPU get above 110 on a Intel quad core q9550.-Analog control of fans. I commonly prefer physical controls of my fans.-Relatively quiet, at least compared to the rest of my case (Antec 902) and GPU (MSI N470GTX). -Quite close to not fitting in the case.
