Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:Middle-of-the-pack sound quality.

Pros:Excellent build quality and materials, 2 sets of ear covers, microphone is very responsive, cord is very durable and volume/mic control is well placed.
Comment:
I was impressed with everything but the sound quality. It's unfortunate that better drivers were not included, but for the sale price, I cannot complain. I loved that Corsair included 2 sets of ear covers (pleather and microfiber). The headset is very comfortable while wearing and both sides are height adjustable.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:Very heavy

Pros:Great soundComfortableHandy mute / sound adjustment button
Comment:
I love those headphones. For the price they do just great. I'm using them with my asus p8p67 onboard audio and the sound is still good for gaming. I'm not a big music fan so for my purpose they do just fine although they are pretty heavy Would have rated them 5* if they were not that heavy

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Comment:
They appear good and they are comfortable to wear. The memory foam ear cups is excellent. The sound was muffled, extremely small bass, very small of everything. I was actually hoping this would be the last headset I'd acquire for a though but regrettably I sent them back like two days immediately after I got them. They may well do much better with an amplifier but on my X-Fi Titanium they sounded bland and had no definition. With the sound up as high as it would go they had been nonetheless far too quiet. I have a Sennheiser headset, forget which one but it has on the ear cups. It sounds 100X much better, way more bass, way more every little thing. If I could get them with the very same ear cups of the HS1A you'd have a near excellent set of can's. Manufacturer Response:Based on user feedback and reviews, it sounds as if you might simply have gotten a faulty headset. Your experience is not typical. We're very sorry you had this issue.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons:-a little soft (soundwise)

Pros:-comfortable-great sound-good mic-solid-good price
Comment:
This is a really great headset. It is extremely comfortable, and provided you have a decent sound card (at least get a cheap xonar dg), it has great sound. The bass is not as boomy as other headsets, so it may not be as good as it could be for some more bassy music, but its extremely clear and is truly exelent for gaming. The mic is solid, and works well. Having a good sound card, I personally prefer having the analog inputs, so in my opinion that is a benefit, but, if you are stuck on integrated audio, you would be better off either getting a dedicated sound card or going with the regular HS1

Pros: ComfortableCheapGood sound qualityGreat cord length/construction
Comment:
Got these on sale and I couldn't be happier. Coming from the the world where I was normally just buying cheap headsets this was an awesome step up. They are extremely comfortable, from the ear padding to the top head pad. The cord is quite long and the covering for it is way better material then most headsets. Delivers good sound quality as well as mic quality. Very happy with this purchase.

Cons: Not USB

Pros: ComfortableSound quality goodCord length good lengthLooks good
Comment:
The cord length is perfect.. can be far away from the computer or easily wrap it up.. the Headset is comfortable no headaches after hours of gaming (lol)... the sound quality is better then speakers, and my friends say "You sound like you do in real life through the mic" instead of "who is this?"

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons: Not free, and very sound card dependent.

Pros: Good SoundGood MicComfyAdjustableSuper long cords!
Comment:
It is a great headset in all aspects but do not buy this if you are using onboard sound. These sound great with a $50 plus sound card but sound like any other headset on onboard sound.Very comfy with super long cords. Would recommend on sale. But would suggest the USB version for people without a good sound card.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons: sucks if you don't have a soundcardlacking at the bass department

Pros: ComfyGreat Sounddj headset like swivelsVERY COMFY
Comment:
Been playing for 1 week non stop with it, and it's really comfortable even on long periods of gaming session/music. The bass is ok, it doesn't have as much ummphh as the other gaming headsets but i think the bass on the other ones are too much anyway. For this one you need a decent soundcard to be able to use it's full capabilities. Did I say this headset is very comfortable? Compared to my old Razer Carcharias, this one is much better build quality and the sound is so much better I think. I'm not really an audiophile but this one should be one of the best gaming/music headsets.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons: - Sound quality (still 5 starts though)

Pros: - Build quality- Comfort- Look even better in person then advertised- Corsair QA- Sale price at the time of purchase
Comment:
These headphones were bought for a specific use and a specific individual, and that person is very happy with this product, so that makes me happy. The headphones were not bought for an audiophile but someone that listens to internet video, not HD audio, and uses Skype, so for the intended use the sound and voice quality coming through is excellent.

I just got these and I am very very impressed. Very comfortable, HUGE earcups, choice of high quality foam or leatherette ear cups. Did I mention they are comfortable? They also look cool, they are very flexible and they bend every which way and very portable. I am very impressed by these headphones, highly recommended for everyday computer use. I have not tried the mic yet so cannot comment.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons: Have to wait for weekly special to purchase.

Pros: Very cheap for how good these headphones are.Seems sturdyVery comfortable.
Comment:
Very, very good headphones for the price. Definitely too good for onboard sound, although not good enough to completely utilize high end sound card. I definitely recommend them. I also bought the USB version which naturally has its own sound card. If you have an OK sound card, these headphones are very good.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons: Low Quality MicLow Quality Earphones

Pros: Comfortable
Comment:
Corsair focused on the comfort of the headset but the truth of the matter is the sound quality and microphone quality is that of a $20 no-name branded headset unfortunately. As stated in previous review, holding your push to talk and not talking should result in a clear pitch, but instead has a buzz going, which is the result of a bad microphone.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons: No surround sound drivers like the USB version

Pros: Two sets of earpadsVery ComfortableThe 3.5mm audio output makes it extremely versatile
Comment:
Im extremely happy with this purchase. First of all, let me say that despite what reviews say about this headset being heavy, i found it to be rather light and barely felt it on my head. Also, i had no problems whatsoever watching movies for three hours last night. Also, the 3.5mm audio cable make it very versatile. I personally don't really spend a lot of time gaming online, so i can easily use a 1/4inch adapter and plug this headset into my home theater amp and play xbox, ps3, watch dvd's. Also, the sound quality when using the amp is MUCH better than using the motherboard sound card on my PC.As a result, I am contemplating on changing my card or purchasing a turtle beach dss to test that out. Overall, I found this was a great product. Paired with corsair's 2 year warranty and renowned service, i am not worries about this headset.

Corsair HS1A Circumaural Headset
Cons: Lack of low endMic has slight distortion

Pros: Build quality
Comment:
I just purchases these on sale and for the price they are a decent headset, however they're not worth much more. The build quality is excellent, and they're surprisingly light for such a large headset. There is almost no low end on these however, which makes them sound on the cheap side. They are harsh to listen to without some sort of equalization. They definitely aren't the best sounding headset I've used. The mic also comes with what is becoming a standard for some reason, distortion. Holding down your push to talk key and saying nothing results in a slight buzz which isn't something I'd expect from a company like Corsair. I upgraded from a Teknmotion Yapster, and would say overall it's on par with it, however that headset can be had for less than half the price.I wouldn't recommend anyone buy this headset at full price.

All in all, this is perhaps one of the best purchases for the price point. The sound in-game is terrific, but there is a noticeable drop-off for music (my collection, your mileage may vary).
