After hours or reading forums, reviews and getting advice from others who have had the same issues, I've determined that it's an issue with the memory.I can't get the speeds to run at advertised speeds.Random restarts because of the incompatibility issueOverall not all that greatMost disappointing RAM I've owned by Corsair. Pros: Good price, good advertised speeds, low voltage, ddr3, corsair and it's newegg shipping. Comment: I'm up scaling to the Corsair Dominator DDR3 modules. Make sure to check if you have room for something so tall. Pros: Perform just fine. Comment: I would advise not ordering these to build a new system until you have the case, hard drives, and other components assembled and know that you have the room for these. They're not returnable, and you will be stuck with them if they don't fit. Newegg should probably warn customers about the unusual height of these..

Pros: This replaced 2x 1024 sticks of value select ( VS will not run together with more than 2 sticks) even though this was part of a fix for BSOD due to failing PSU ( also replaced with Corsair 100HSX) and a clean install to be done after I put everything together, the system saw all 4 sticks right from the start and it ran so good I did a strat bios OC of 10% after setting the timing..it runs everything I have tossed at it including the Quakelive beta which has been a system buster. Installed clean system with 10%OC and new PSU and has been running the best Vista ever has for me!!! maybe Vista need more memory and power to run smooth.. Comment: rebate was unclear if I could get the 10.00 for each set I bought..will find out soon enough!

I've already RMA'd it once and apparently was given another dud. Problems aren't frequent, but problems are problems. Pros: It's great when working. Comment: Corsair is still top 3 to me when it comes to efficient power supplies.. but when it comes to RAM, Corsair has disappointed me. They even made me pay for shipping their dud product. I've been using 4gb of Gskill ram and will not be going back to using Corsair ram ever again.

Pros: This memory works great, I have overclocked them to1 ghz, and they don't even get 1 degree hotter( had a temp probe pinned betreen the heatsink plates, can't get better than that!) only thing is I could'nt tell any performance increase so I turned them back to stock speed. I have Dominator mem too, and I think these are same, I cant tell the difference! Comment: For the people that say they need to pull out two of the four sticks to get thier pc to boot, it's not the memorys fault in any way, your Bios doesnt and or MB isnt rated for that memory, it has nothing to do with the ram but everything to do with your MB&Bios, some boards prefer running single dual channel(not Dual Dual channel, all four slots) so if your MB is like that just run two sticks and will run perfect!

I would have loved to been able to get one of Corsair's other 2 x 2GB matched pair DIMMs, but in the interests of not screwing my build up I went with these. They work great, but it's definitely not nearly as cost-efficient as 2 x 2GB, even when considering the rebate.
