Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X2048-6400C4 2GB 2X1GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL 4-4-4-12 240PIN Dual Channel Memory
Cons:It doesn't cook me breakfast
Pros:It works with a Striker Extreme |

Still good 2nd time around
Cons: none
Pros: This memory still works smooth as butter Comment:
I bought this memory in 2007 for my rig I was building with a crosshair mobo and worked flawlessly. I just ordered a second set to move up to 4 gig on a windows 7 64-bit platform and all is well as usual. |

Great memory
Cons: None...it's good stable RAM.
Pros: This RAM has been rocking steady in my rig since I built it in the summer of 2007. It runs stable at 4-4-4-12 2.1V with my Core 2 Duo E6600 overclocked to 2.9Ghz. I have decided to buy another kit to double my memory with my newly purchased Winows 7 64bit and I'm looking forward for the additional stability when I'm running a lot of memory intensive applications. Comment:
As I understand it, this new RAM may not play nice with my old ram even though they are supposedly an identical spec. If this were the case, I would likely return them and eat the restocking fee so that I can get a fresh 2x2 = 4GB kit of something else. This is not a pro or a con, it's just the way it goes sometimes and I'm thankful to Newegg for their eggcellent return policies that allow system builders such freedom. |

Awesome
Cons: Nothing.
Pros: I have had this memory since I got my machine. It is VERY reliable and fast. No errors, no failures, speedy, on and on I could go. I have had my machine for 3 years now, and they are still going strong. Comment:
If you are making a budget machine, get this ram. If you are making a high end machine... I still recommend this stuff. |

Good Product
Cons: none
Pros: I've been using these since September of 2008 and they are great. re-buying them to upgrade to 4 gigs since it's a cheaper solution than buying a better video card. Comment:

does not overclock as advertised
Cons: I decided I needed more ram and got another pair, but after adding them to my computer with the exact same BIOS configuration, it wouldn't post. I had to change the BIOS settings to default for it to post. I tried a bunch of different voltages and timings to no avail. I have a MSI P965 motherboard.
Pros: I got a pair of these when I first built my computer (3 years ago) and setting them to 4-4-4-12 @2.1V worked just fine. Comment:

Never a problem from this brand
Cons: Sometimes need to manually set rams parmeters in the bios to realize the rams full potential. That said, I've never had a problem getting a system to run this ram at it full spec.
Pros: Never had a compatibility problem from this ram and any of the many motherboards it has been in and out of. Comment:
The voltage required to obtain the 800Mhz C4 varies from board to board, usally between 1.85~2.1V as reported by the bios. (which, is known to often be inaccurate) |

Good memory
Cons: None
Pros: This set was bought to team with another set of the same brand. (2Gbs to 4Gbs). The upgrade went without a problem and the memory works perfectly! Comment:
I only use 2 brands of memory. One of them is Corsair. |

memory errors
Cons: failed to do what memory should do - read back what was written to it
Pros: attractive packaging Comment:
When you get application crashes you blame software bugs. When you download a file that is corrupt you blame the network. Unfortunately, these things can be caused my memory errors. After a couple of recent incidents I decided to run Memtest86+ and sure enough it detected memory errors. When I contacted Corsair I asked if I could get ECC memory instead of a direct replacement (I would pay any price difference). The gentleman on the phone told me that a motherboard will only work with ECC or non-ECC (not both) so therefore my motherboard does not work with ECC memory. I informed him that he was incorrect (and pointed out that Kingston sold ECC and non-ECC RAM for my motherboard). After a short pause he said that, yes, my motherboard works with ECC but Corsair does not make ECC RAM for my motherboard. When I asked to speak to someone more knowledgable (or his supervisor) he hung up on me. I will replace these sticks with Kingston RAM and I won't be dealing with Corsair again. |

Superb
Cons: My rig could only support 2 more sticks. Man what i wouldnt give to be able to run 12 gigz
Pros: Luv it. Luv it Luv it Luv it. This stuff works great. This is the 2nd set of corsair sticks iv bought in the last year and i have yet to be dissappointed by this brand. Comment:
I'v tried other brands before and found their performance to be somewhat less than expected. Corsair lives up to its rep for providing high quality ram. |

Memtest Errors
Cons: Running at 4-4-4-12 and 2.1v by Corsair specs, I would get random failures. So I ran memtest86 and it found errors in pass 8. I removed the 2 new sticks and my old memory ran without error with the same test.
Pros: Purchased 2x1GB sticks of memory identical to original 2x1GB sticks which have been running fine for almost 2 years in Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L motherboard. Figured that everything would be fine if all memory sticks were the same. Comment:
I got an RMA and returned the memory at my expense and requested a replacement. Newegg gave me a refund instead. |

Good memory
Cons: None, really?
Pros: Added another pair to existing pair to up mem to 4gb for Win7 Ult 64-bit. Works just like most Corsair memory does? Comment:
On 680i board, runs CAS-5 at lower settings, rather than CAS-4, but I knew that... Just wanted the memory, and it was worth it. Original pair about 3 yrs old now. Good quality with a good reputation. I've built custom computers for over 30 years now, and never had a problem with Corsair memory? |

Bad
Cons: Never did hold the timing that it's rated at. I kept getting "Unhandled Exception" errors at the end of Cod W@W, and had to use task manager to shut down, every time. I erased my game, after having every perk and rank, painful decision. And it didn't help! It would freezr off and on and give me errors, that had no explanation. Finally it froze and corrupted my system. I finally did what my friends said to do a year ago, changed my RAM. That fixed it! Almost 2 years of problems, and it was this ram the whole time. Partly my fault for not running memtest. But didn't think I should have to. Corsair was good with thier customer service, no complaints there. And they did send me an RMA. But, it should've ran at what it was rated at and should've been able to handle gaming. It would only crash on CoD W@W, mp, so I thought maybe it was just the game, till it froze and corruputed everything on a different game. I tried another 2 sticks of this ram, and got the same errors.
Pros: It worked fine on everything except gaming mp. Comment:
Maybe it just doesn't like ASUS MB's? |

2 Years Solid.
Cons: Does not run at the advertised Time of 4-4-4-12, I'd have to bump the voltage up, however, I'm ok leaving it running where it is at 5-5-5-15.
Pros: Since I purchased this ram to build my computer I haven't had any problems with it... Runs great. Good deal. Comment:
Corsair is sold.Another good product. |

Awesome
Cons: zero.
Pros: This ram is great, I have used it for a while now and it has ran flawlessly. I was running 2gb for a year and just doubled it to 4gb total now.I will only use Corsair ram in my system builds, and I recommend the same to my friends and customers. Comment:
Problems will happen, as is natural in any hardware company. The difference is Corsair cares about its customers and, in my opinion, has the industries highest customer service of any company. |

Rock Solid (purchased a long time ago)
Cons: It's a shame that Corsair has now switched to using lower-quality parts but is still branding this memory the same as the original high-quality RAM chips.
Pros: I ordered the original version a couple of years ago and it's been a good workhorse ever since. Good, stable, fast RAM. I've been buying Corsair for years and most recently purchased (from Corsair) one of their 750 watt power supplies which has been awesome also. Corsair so far has made good on their rebates. Comment:
I don't like it when companies sacrifice quality to save a buck or two. It tells me something about the company in that they like to cut corners and don't care (or care to a lesser extent) that the customer gets a lower quality product. Because of this, I will not be buying Corsair products in the near future, and in fact, have now switched over to everything OCZ including flash drives, SSDs, power supplies, and RAM and haven't looked back since. |

Great when it works
Cons: Not good for the actual purpose it was designed for.
Pros: Great for arts and crafts. Comment:
I've used these before and they work fine when they work. Unfortunately they're broken 50% of the time. |

simple ram
Cons: For today, it's a bit slow. So not worth the price in my opinion.
Pros: I actually have two of these, so 4GB. Just some fast, quality ram. At least at the time i bought them. Comment:
If i were building a gaming rig today, i would probably opt for DDR3 1066 ram instead of this. But this ram has done just fine with my dated rig. |

Ram is ram... but Corsair is worth saying something about. I had a set of these die on me after two years and while waiting for the RMA I purchased another set from NCIX and will now have 4GB. Corsair's RMA process is awesome. No hassles, quick and easy I got approved by RAM guy on the forums and got a RMA # quickly. They were out of stock so I had to wait two weeks for them to make some more but thats ok. Oh and I have had lots of problems with ram and striker extreme's... this RAM works flawlessly with this board.
