Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Gamer 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 PCI Retail Box Bilingual
Cons:none

Pros:Sound quality is amazing. 5.1 actually works in games.
Comment:
Wow i havent owned a SB since Audigy 2... My old Audigy 2 wasnt any better than decent onboard sound. But I really wanted EAX 5.0. Games such as L4D, FEAR 2 are just awesome. Words can't describe  how awesome this performs in surround. Comes with a good old intel HD audio connector, most decent cases have them. Anyones whos into headhphones with a mic for online play can't afford not to have this sound card. Drivers and applications work flawlessly with Windows 7 64bit.

Card working great with IL2 and XP, mic work very good with the game going in TS, loud crisp and clear. Effects are amaizing and sound quality gives the boost to SA.Also I'm impressed with the service of NCIX - communication is there and the card came next day as promised, even it was shipped across Canada. Packed very well.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Gamer 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 PCI Retail Box Bilingual
Cons:drivers !

Pros:Sound good !easy to use and install
Comment:
Nice card for the price but when you need a x64 driver that working correctly, you may have to look for another brand since the Creative driver are very weak for the x64 version of windows. Yes, they have one... but No, they not working correctly. Some people have made some home made driver that actually work better than the Creative One.. i still love it but hassle to get it work perfectly.

Cons:Not as many features as some

Pros:Great SoundCompatibility
Comment:
Got this little thing for $90 during a sale on NCIX. I personally really like this card, i haven't had any problem with it, even under Vista 64-bit. Or Windows 7 Ultimate for that matter. But there is better out there according to professional reviews.

Cons:finicky, and vista 64bit has no drivers

Pros:good sound quality
Comment:
Good sound quality, but it can be a pain to setup to work. The software it comes with is kinda useless. When I installed 64bit Vista Ultimate, creative said they did not support 64bit vista, and had no plans too. Not sure if they are still at that standpoint.this is not the easiest sound card to get working

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Gamer 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 PCI Retail Box Bilingual
Cons:Work in progress linux driver support (only 2.1 support currently)Utility occasionally forgets speaker/sound configuration

Pros:Game supportSpecific audio modes for gaming, entertainmentX-FI Crystalizer does have slight quality increase
Comment:
After previosuly owining a Xfi Xtrememusic & Fatality Edition cards, I must say this card combines the excellent features of both cards at a little bit better price. After trying the Asus Xonar and Auzentech cards, I much prefer creative's sound cards. They can't really be matched for EAX/Game support and their great sound quality. The only thing the X-Fi line really needs is polished linux driver support for those who like to dabble in running multiple operating systems

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Gamer 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 PCI Retail Box Bilingual
Cons:The only thing I would say I didn't like is when I tried using optical out.It only supports 2.1 when using the audio jacks it does 7.1. it was a little hard to find the 3mm flex jack when looking for an optical cable.manage to find one at a dollar store so I ended up taking the over priced optical cable to best B and kept the one at the dollar store anytime I wish to use these for a PS3 or a HD TV

Pros:Wow! before I thought buying sound card was something poeple did to spend money, but oh was I wrong! This with my 5.1 500w speakers bring all my music and games to life! The price was good at the time I bought it for NCIX. $65 I see right now that its backup to 117 dollars but I usually see this on the sales page almost every week or at least twice a month. The Control menus are very easy to use and the add software is fun to play with.
Comment:
I would say if your looking for a cheap good sound card. Or if its your first sound card and your not looking to use the optical out if you going to use it on speakers that are less than 2.1 go for this. It will make a great first time sound card.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Gamer 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 PCI Retail Box Bilingual
Cons:none

Pros:Awesome Sound output, CMSS3D
Comment:
This is the card to get if you are a gamer. I use it with Sennheiser HD555's and I play CoD4. It is absolutely incredible. I can hear footsteps from a mile away with the CMSS 3D feature enabled on the card. It creates virtual 5.1 surround sound channels on a stereo headset. Definitely the card to get if you are a gamer.

Cons:Have to fight with Vista if you want to get the most out of it

Pros:Sounds great!
Comment:
This was a HUGE improvement over the onboard sound I had, I couldn't believe how much better it was. However in Vista I had to use a program called ALchemy to enable EAX in most games. I'd definitely recommend getting updated drivers when you install it.

Cons:Special cable needed for optical out.

Pros:Good Sound. Well Priced. Supports all the latest x-fi features.
Comment:
Overall this is a great sound card. purchased on sale so the price was good. sound reproduction is great. far superior to on-board sound. really brings games to life on a good stereo or headset. drivers that come with it are a bit dated, and updating is a bit troublesome, but overall great card for the price.

Pros:EAX HD 5.0, great for 5.1 systems, cheap
Comment:
I own the x-fi xtreme music which is essentially the same with an added digital out. I use the card mostly for gaming and the EAX support is great. I tried using a supreme fxII onboard that came with my asus x48 rampage mobo, and went back to this immediately, as there is a significant different in audio fidelity, even with an inexpensive set of logitech z-5500s.

Cons:Can I really tell the difference..?

Pros:QualityPrice
Comment:
I bought this card with a pair of Tritton 5.1's. I must admit, the quality is great, the 5.1 is amazing, and I'm very happy over all. But, without putting this side by side to my older audigy card, I'm not sure I could tell the difference! I'm not an huge audio buff though, so it could be just me. Over all though, I'm happy. I've had no real issuse and am very happy with the 5.1 and the sound quality I'm getting, whether it's thanks to this card or not.

Cons:- Driver of windows Vista

Pros:- 24 bit- PCI (as PCI-E X1 are often too close of PCIE16)- Superb with windows XP
Comment:
This sound card is awesome for windows XP. but a lot of problem will occur if you move into Vista, all the goodies that make this card better, won't be supported in Vista, unfortunately.I still recommend it, way way better then a on board card(I bought one when it was released 2 years ago, then I still buy them for gaming rig when I build them)

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Xtreme Gamer 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 PCI Retail Box Bilingual
Cons:With the new drivers, your settings mysteriously reset and getting the mic to work again was a huge hassle. There is however a workaround over c Creative's forums

Pros:- Good SoundCard- Very nice improvement if you have On-Board audio- Not too pricey
Comment:
I purchased this from a different store for a cheaper price (not gonna say which store) and overall, I'm happy with this card. Playing video games and listening to music are easily noticeable with a good pair of headphones. Recommend this card if you don't mind dealing with the issues I mentioned on the Weaknesses part.
