Great card! Plays all music formats crystal clear. This card is quite loud compared to on-board sound... I would propose this to everyone that needs a fundamental and fantastic card. Even though this card does lack some Operating method based characteristics such as "what you hear" or "stereo mix" either way, it has neither of them attributes. I still very advocate this card to everyone. This sound card has no "stereo mix" or "what you hear" so if your somebody that desires to stream your music on the web this card is (NOT FOR YOU)!I literally have to switch over to my motherboard sound every single time I want to broadcast and also, that disabled me from enjoying the music and only tends to make it so others can hear it.

Very simple to set up on Win 7 64bit, just before set up it remove the drivers from your old card and any control program asociated with it. Turn off your computer, set up the new card, turn on and go to windows updates, check updates and you will get the newest drivers for this card. Card came with no box, and newegg gave me a rebate kind to get บ rebate, but without having UPC bar code you can't sent the rebate???? :(

Somehow worked for a week before the software began consuming my OS. I've considering that rolled back but at a single point it had added eight input devices to my Sound Selections. I at present have a max of like 2 or 3. Identical for output devices. I feel like I'm beating a dead Win7 drivers horse. Study other comments. This card is at present back in the box it came in.

Offloading sound processing from cpu?Greater frames I guess. Sound nevertheless sounds the similar, although. Vista doesn't assistance hardware accelerated sound. I'm sure on xp this card would sing. Assassin's creed kept crackling with onboard. Installed this card, and viola! Crystal-clear sound!

Worked with Windows 7 ultimately. Almost everything sounds fantastic. It's affordable. Not truly positive that there is much of an improvement over the on board audio from my motherboard. Also, the integrated driver was out of date. Luckily I read the testimonials right here prior to I tried to use it. I imagine that I hear a slight improvement in the audio from some of my games (slightly clearer dialog, etc.) but the distinction isn't so stark that I'm sure I Essentially hear it.

Works much better then the, now dead, on board sound card. Software program and driver disk functions completely. The list for what to install when you use the application is a bit confusing. EAX operates half the time in games, but I actually didn't buy the card for EAX. I Contact of Duty 2, when in bunkers or caves, activating EAX tends to make it sound like your in a tin can. Excellent card, far better then the on board sound card and truly makes the laptop run a tiny more rapidly.

When plugged into your laptop, it will function to the equivalent level of an 8 dollar knockoff chinese soundcard. NO FRONT PANEL AUDIO. When once more, Creative abuses their mini monopoly to generate absolute garbage. Not only is this card just a rebadged Reside 24bit, its not possible to hook up front panel audio. The sound excellent barely edges out my onboard sound, except for the truth that I can plug the front panel audio in. I even tried getting an adapter cable, and the front panel audio nonetheless doesn't function. I've tried each and every driver revision and nevertheless no luck. Even hacked X-Fi drivers.

Operates wonderfully till you notice one thing (see under) All of these are acquired by googling audiodg.exe out of managehttp://www.vistax64.com/sound-audio-inventive-x-fi-elite-pro-audiodg-exe.htmlhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7music/thread/d2202857-0a63-4aa4-a278-2e97e6377beehttp://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t This has been an challenge for more than two years, but Inventive refuses to do anything about it. Inventive cards compromise you're complete Pc, and you have to shut off the boosts that they give to not have it take more than your RAM. Conclusion: I wouldn't take it for cost-free, and I'll never acquire from inventive ever once again.

Good card for older computer systems. Resource hog with the incorporated software. Can\'t use headphones with front inputs on most computer system cases without having a unique ten pin connector. X-Fi far better for newer computers. Applied it on an older HP pc when on-board audio quit working. Not too long ago upgraded to Soundblaster X-Fi w/USB interface.

Plug it in, load the drivers and it works. Very good price tag. NEWEGG! None but. Worked for two weeks trying to get sound to (re)work with Windows 7, ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 mobo, RealTek drivers (and Windows audio drivers) - by no means succeeded. Audio worked when I very first installed Windows and then unexpectedly quit. Soon after 2 weeks of frustration, ordered this card from NewEgg, plugged it in and inside ten minutes I had sound once again. BTW, there are no posts on the internet that solves the challenge I have.

Uncomplicated sound card. It's fine The service was attrocious. I named their tech assistance - and the guy argued with me for 15 minutes. What was the argument about? He told me to hang up and contact him back when I was accomplished installing/rebooting my personal computer with the software program. The set up/reboot requires significantly less then five minutes. I explained to him I was on phone help hold for 45 minutes, and to wait another 45 minutes for an set up that would take much less then five minutes is insane. He then place me on indefinite hold. I won't ever get, or advise to get a Inventive solution just since of that concern alone. There are just as excellent (and better) goods out there with way greater service.

Sounded better than on-board audio for the three days I was able to use it. Only sounded greater than on-board audio for 3 days... The card crackles and pops in 2 various PCI slots on my mobo. I was running this on an MSI K9A Platinum.I will be RMA'ing. Be wary of "special bargains" on this card. For some explanation, it was marked ŭ off when i purchased it. Sure adequate, the extremely next day, it was ำ once again. I knew I was getting OEM, but there's a certain expectation of reliability from OEM...and it's not limited to 3 days.

This card is just amazing. The HD excellent of my motherboard drivers for the audio ports currently constructed in, coupled with the 24 bit Audigy make it excellent.I am running a PK5 wifi Asus motherboard, and the compliant drivers for both the sound card, and the on board sound devices (and the two ports in the front for a mic/headset) do not cause any interruption or interfere with one another. The sound driver for my motherboard identifies that you plugged speakers in to your Audigy card, and identifies that you plugged items into your front audio ports (for me I have a Raidmax Smilodon set up) and even the on board. I have a sound wizard that allows me to set whatever I plug in appropriately and it adjusts the sound for it without losing any good quality or even a beat! The software program is fantastic, the updates add more of a bang to your hearing no matter if you have two speakers, two and a subwoofer/center, or five.1+ sound program. I certainly want to find some speakers to use this! If they ever make some thing much better than this, I will be amazed. I can not even think of a 'better, more trustworthy card' than one particular from a corporation that has been about longer than almost any other. Obviously some day it will be enhanced, or even a new one in the future may well leave this one particular in the dust; but I will be boggled of how considerably 'more' or 'better' the top quality could get, unless you had bands or a person personally singing into your speakers for you.

Low Price As the title suggests, I'm receiving a lot of distortion coming out of the card. Utilised the most recent win7 64-bit driver from MS update, even attempted downgrading to the latest 2009 driver on creative's help web-site, now the properties don't open AND it pops, clicks and stutters in Media player.
