Affordable price tag and was plug-and-play. Yet another good item from Critical. None in my thoughts. When once again Newegg has managed to remove additional income from my pocket and they continue to wow me with excellent merchandise with rapid shipping!

Functions properly for the cost. One of the sticks was negative. Quite substantially no point in RMAing it considering that it will cost about the exact same to ship it as it would to obtain a new 1gb stick and will leave me without a Computer for a week.

I received half height ram. Normally half-height isn't as nice as complete height ram; nevertheless, these particular rams from Crucial are Great (no matter their size). Half height ram helps by avoiding hot air trapped in-among your memory chips. Basic. They're short, so they don't block ventilation. Conversely, they have significantly less location for heatsinking themselves; so, theoretically, you do require to make confident your personal computer has successful ventilation, or at least Don't blow CPU cooler temperature air onto the ram chips. These are compatible with the speedy small DC5100, a common and commonplace professional grade personal computer that has now just come off government lease in droves. These are also beneficial to the Conroe based Celron's (Intel Core Solo) that's common for hobbyists to mode with bsel, due to the fact any CPU with a restricted cache (no matter its clock speed) will benefit from dual channel memory, like these.Get this ram. Half-height ram could be broken IF you try to set up it backwards. Don't install backwards. Half height ram isn't as sturdy and you don't want to degrade it by bending it more than the bump that's in the bottom of the ram socket. DO watch for right orientation for the duration of install. Attempt a flashlight or 1 of those nifty headband variety flashlights.

Fits parents' Computer, worked (neither DIMM was DOA), Good sufficient warranty to know that it won't fail due to the fact of mfg defect, Still running like the day it was purchased nearing 18 months following purchased. My parents don't need to have something but standard RAM that will final. Generally if RAM lasts 6 months, it will final years (might fail soon after six-ten years but you ought to possibly replace the program then). Some RAM with these specs come at 'half height' I like those models but they have been more spendy. These full height DIMMS can get into the way of a good heatsink if you put them in a gaming case. I guess if you really want remarkable ram to more than clock, this isn't it. If you want to OC RAM you really should make positive there is a heat spreader on the chips. I knew this model didn't have it, and it will nonetheless function fine for years. This RAM is regarded as legacy already! I purchased for less than 22, and now its up to 50. Provide is getting decreased since new DDR3 RAM is the regular for new PCs. I would consider you could locate some for the original cost of 25 if you appear for a when. Recall you can't get far more than 4 gigs in XP (unless you go 64 bit, and your motherboard suports it).

Simple set up, computer booted up and recognized extra RAM instantly - I ought to've purchased the PC2 5300 RAM simply because I'm not using this for gaming/overclocking, but it operates fine for a basic upgrade from 2 x 512MB to two x 1GB

This Critical RAM runs excellent, and there's not a hitch with it. It's not as quickly as the newer core i5 dual channel ddr3, at 1333mhz typically, and once in awhile you can notice that. This RAM is great, and i'm glad i bought it. Newegg sells very good stuff. Suggested.

Each sticks function, CPUZ sees them as ddr2 800. Excellent shipping by the EGG. my Dell mobo bios sees them as 667, which I currently own and was trying to upgrade from. I guess I could purchase another set of these to repair the issue, BUT I have a new computer construct about to start off so I will maintain these sticks, and maybe will buy one more set a single day. I have a different set of ddr2 800 that I took out of a dell xps, which has more quickly cas timings which could have confused the bios, and the bios is locked so I cant alter the memory speed. I am creating a new rig in the close to future so this rig is performed.Dell Inspiron 530 CaseAntec Earthwatts 650Foxconn G33M02 Mobo (dell version)Intel Core two Duo E8500 (stockƞGB DDR2 800 (Dell junk Bios sees 4GB 667)HIS 5770 (FOC)Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme GamerDVD/RW

Employed in a clientele house/office build. Operates as expected. Runs on 1.8V. No frills memory that does what it should... works. NONE Rock solid memory. Slower timings, so gamers may want to appear elsewhere. For a house or office application, this memory is perfect. 30+ days running in the consumers machine with no difficulties. Hugely advised.

Does exactly what it says and performs just as it is specified to. Nothing at all seriously, I don't feel RAM ought to expense as a lot as it does in basic. But this is a wonderful deal in comparison to other brands. Wonderful for a small price range Computer, I put it in a personal computer for my parents. (I'm in college, I owe them a issue or two I'd say) that sits behind the couch and does Netflix Immediate Watch to their HDTV. I also threw a 1Tb hdd in there with some films and music on it. This RAM performs perfectly for that application and we haven't had any challenges so far at all. We also utilize Win 7 Homegroup with it a lot. My mom backs up a lot of her files/projects for school (she's a teacher) by sending them to the 1tb By means of Homegroup. Everything operates well and we are very content.

What's good about it? Every little thing that you would expect out of good quality RAM. I hate the packaging. They are challenging to get open but when cutting/tearing I am always afraid of hitting/snapping the chips.
