Super Rapid Setup. Good Signal High quality. Attractive Industrial Design and style. Functions fantastic in Access Point mode. Supports WPS Push Button Setup. Supports ethernet switching in AP mode.My network gear is all D-Hyperlink and they all operate well with each other and have been rock solid (no reboots or power downs). Can't beat the cost and super quickly Newegg shipping. Can't run 2Ghz and 5Ghz simultaneously. The blinking blue access point light is a small annoying as other people have stated. Wish it supported energy more than ethernet rather of requiring a power brick. My primary use for this is to stream HD video wirelessly to my media center extender (D-Link DSM-750). My existing router (D-Hyperlink DIR 655) supports wireless N but the signal top quality was too low for media streaming 黏 router is on second floor, extender on 1st floor). I had an ethernet connection to the very first floor family area for my PS3 and connected the 1522 employing that connection. Capable to connect to the extender through wireless with complete signal strength with the 1522 inside the family members area media cabinet and the extender located in the next area about 15 feet away. The lan ports also operate as an ethernet switch so I'm capable to connect all the devices in my media cabinet (namely a PS3) to the ethernet connection as properly. The 5Ghz band functions wonderful for streaming media and is immune to microwave interference. The 2Ghz band was very susceptible to microwave interference (as all 2GHz wireless connections are).

Selectable bridge mode or access point mode, GigE ports, 2.four and 5Ghz band. Exactly what I required to connect the Xbox, PS3 and Sammy Tv in the living room (bridge mode) on a devoted network. Capable to stream native M2TS files from server without having stuttering. Material bandwidth improvement over previous shared "G" setup. Acquiring 𞳸MB throughput by means of walls and ceiling. In bridge mode, channel can't be changed, fixed in mixed mode operation (a/b/g/n, two.four + 5Ghz). Set up wasn't hard if connected to Pc first to configure, then move to final place. Tried WPS but wasn't creating a connection so just configured manually and it worked like a charm. No problem connecting to dual band router from different manufacturer.

four Gigabit ports, I've noticed worse web interfaces. I truly, seriously dislike the confusion of the "dual" moniker in the wireless market. Right after buying and installing this, I have now discovered that this is *not* simultaneous dual band. It will run either in 2.4GHz or 5GHz, but not each at the similar time. They ought to contact it "selectable band" instead of dual band. Now I need to either return this issue or get rid of it. Why doesn't someone make a customer-grade AP with simultaneous dual bands? Am I genuinely the only particular person in the whole globe who wants one?

This issue actually functions, Set up was so simple even I could do it. Following set up I moved it subsequent door to my Daughters property (approx 200' away) connected it to her desktop and it instantly reconized my wireless router. With the extra Eithernet ports I was in a position to network a printer which makes it possible for her to print from the desktop and her laptop. As usual Newegg's shipping was fast . None However I found it eaiser to configure working with the manual choice. Setting the WEP encryption (something you ought to do) was uncomplicated also.

It seriously performs None I have a D-Link DIR-655 router which has been very very good for a couple of years. I recently upgraded to FIOS which needed me to move my router. This resulted in new dead spots in my wireless coverage. Saw this WAP on a good deal and set up it. It operates great. Significantly enhanced my coverage. Very advise!Don't inform my wife I had to drill a hole in the carpet to run a cat-five to the location I installed this WAP.

Fantastic solution, it functions actually very good. Keeps a fantastic connection going, I havce my personal computer and a vonage phone moden connected to it. Have not haveany connection problems at all. Great support, I called for some aid installing and extremely useful tech solved my difficulty. Documentation on setup is sort of vague, not clear as to which components are being discussed. But the tech help was so good no need to have to doc a egg on a solution that performs so nicely. If your like me and use vonage and use a wireless connection you may possibly want to look at this item.

Effortless to set up, little box, low power consumption, N wireless networking, four Ethernet connectionsThis AP/Bridge is straightforward to set up. In my case, employing it as a bridge only, connect to the Computer CAT cable first, adjust IP of computer system temporarily, run the setup, update the firmware, and off you go. Positioning and surrounding objects/environments tremendously impact the signal and thruput. Blinking orange light when connected - LEDs not adjustable for brightness. Seriously fantastic unit, low cost remedy to extend a routers range inside a home.

Operates properly as a bridge. I am utilizing it to connect my (wired) Blu-Ray player to my wireless D-Link router (DIR-655). The push-button WPS did not operate. I had to set it up manually by connecting it by wire to a computer. Appears a little flimsy but it isn't going to be knocked about at all so I feel it really should be fine.

It operates...what far more can I say? four LAN ports, five Ghz, and 802.11n. No external antennae. LED activity lights are vibrant and can\'t be turned off. I suggest covering them with a piece of electrical tape and hiding the unit from view. I attached mine to the back of the Television.

The bridge function works exactly as advertised! I now have both my dish network DVR and space for my Blue ray player when it arrives. The initial setup would not work as described in the documentation. Both the speedy install guide and the owners manual were of no aid. I had to get in touch with the 800 support quantity. They knew precisely what to do. I had to go into the network connection properties and double click on TCP/IP selecting to set the IP address to 192.168..54 and Subnet mask to 255.255.255. and default gateway to 192.168..54. That allowed me to configure the switch to speak to my linksys router. It would have been good if the procedure described to access the setup was documented in the manuals. I did find it on the DLINK site after talking to support.

The D-Link DAP-1522 is a a single of a sort. I searched high and low for a Wireless Bridge that had multi-port capability and this is it and at an exceptional cost point. We have a 2 Story household and wiring the home is expense prohibative, but we needed to have online connections for Two Dish Network Satallite Receivers, two Xbox360's, a Roku Netflix Player, and a Blueray DVD Player. I bought three of the D-Link DAP-1522's to connect all of the devices and have 2 online capable devices connected to each. I have a Linksys WRT310 wireless N router with the protected world wide web setup. The only setting i necessary to do was modify the IP address on my Linksys to be compatible with the D-Link which meant it necessary to be set the http://xxx-xxx..1 since the default ip address on the D-Link is http:/롘.168..50. After that just click the straightforward button on the D-Link and the Linksys and performed. Couldn't be easier, no sure why there are so many posts about how hard it is to setup? None Really other than the bright lights on the front, but some black electrical tape fixes that speedily. I can access my Dish Network Receivers now from any web connection and set my DVR timers, can also set them remotely by way of my I-Telephone Dish Network App :) We have been capable to stream HD Films to 2 Tv's at the same time with no lag all even though surfing the internet and playing an Xbox360 Live game (all wireless). Like I stated we have a 2 story house and all three devices are about as far away from the Linksys Wireless router as they can get and all are pulling a minimal of 75 - 80% signal strength in Wireless N Band.

When it's connected, it functions. Purchased this to replace a D-Link wireless-G bridge for my XBox 360. Configured the device but observed that some settings were missing. I use Firefox and later discovered out that the wireless settings config only shows up in IE. Ahead of I knew that, I had to use the wireless wizard to configure something. Soon after setup, it worked. Then the subsequent morning I turned on Xbox, no connection to Reside. Reset the device, Reside connected. Following a handful of hours of my XBox becoming off, couldn't connect to Live. Attempted repeatedly till it lastly connected. Apparently the wireless instances out if there are no devices powered on. Takes a tiny while to reconnect but killed my Live auto-connect. Verified this in the D-Link forums. That's just terrible style. I had this connected to a Netgear WNR2000. I was expecting some high speeds at 300mbps. All I could get true-time was about 50-60mbps. Read on some sites that this speed was about common. Was expecting much more from Wireless-N, even even though I know wireless has a lot of packet overhead and retransmissions.

Really great. Got this bridge to so that I could get my TiVO, XBOX 360 and PS3 all connected with 802.11n. ๚.99 is way better than acquiring a new N adapter for all of them. Bye bye G. Improved my transfer speed amongst the TiVO and my desktop running the TiVO server drastically. Netflix streams like a charm. No lag gaming. And now that the whole network is running at 5GHz, there's no interruption when someone runs the microwave. NONE. Absolutely nothing incorrect with it at all. It's perfect for the cost and I would have paid a lot more. Gonna get a 2nd one particular for the basement. Okay, for starters, to those who assume setup is also difficult. Go to D-Links web page. They have all the documentation you need to have, and you can even practice with emulators. SECOND- I'm running Firefox 3.6.eight, and it functions. There's no flashing red light - it's orange. Um, it's D-Link, not Linksys. Signal strength is wonderful in a household atmosphere, which what it's designed for.

Using this in the Bridge mode. Set up was effortless, plugged the device, set it to Bridge mode, connected the computer to configure the bridge mode and was all set. I paired it with my D-Link DIR-628 and instantly saw improvement in my download speed for my networked devices connected to DAP-1522. I replaced the PowerLine AV network kit which never ever gave me the speed to view recorded Television between my networked DVR devices, the applications would frequently pause which was annoying. Now with DAP-1522 streaming wirelessly I do not see any pauses which is great. The ping speed for a 65k packet has dropped from about 70ms (With PowerLine AV) to 30ms (with DAP-1522).I updated the firmware with the latest firmware and the update went flawlessly. None Overall I have had very great encounter with D-Link devices.
