Gets a bit warm
Comment:
Works great, installed easily on an XP machine. After using for a short time the device gets warm and I am not sure if it is something to be concerned about.

Not a bad device in a pinch
Comment:
The unit worked fine and installed in Win 7 without drama. Good signal across the house and downstairs. A little odd looking and difficult to place around the office and I replaced it with a power line system but will keep it around for those times when something just won't work or for my other computer.

Good product bizarre utility
Comment:
The product worked as advertised, however the utility conflicted with just about everything. Download only the driver and allow MS to run the antenna and you get very good results.

Good product
Comment:
Works as advertised, I now get a signal from the provider. I have the software installed but it's not working as it's suppose to according to the instructions. They mention a couple of cool functions that I can't get to work.

Works like a charm
Comment:
This was the easiest thing to use. It brought in signals from all over the place and coupled with my wireless software I could locate many wireless gateways in my surrounding neighborhood. I may opt for getting a stronger or outdoor antenna for it though later on. I do not own their wireless modem, so that may also be a later choice.

significant Improvement
Comment:
I bought this item to extend my coverage to my workshop located about 300ft from our home router and it did work well enough to connect but had to add my Garden cantina before getting a full 2 bars and good speed. Product does not work as well as expected but is well worth the priced paid.

Very nice
Comment:
Bought this for 16-yr old son and he easily installed it, got it working, and reported it is very nice. He has had no problems with it and commented that he is glad to have it as it has made his internet connection better and more convenience....his computer is located in a family room in the house basement and he is enjoying this.

Not straightforward
Comment:
I did not find installation of this product straightforward. The initial install locked up. From there could not get the product working successfully. Not seeing any advantage to it, I removed it. May try it again later when I have time. I was looking for plug-and-play, and it wasn't. First impression was disappointing.

Highly Recommended
Comment:
This product has significantly increased the range of our wifi connectivity. We are on a boat for the next year (doing the "Great Loop") It is comparable to a system owned by a friend that cost him over $1500. Pretty good deal in my opinion. Also very easy to set up and doesn't need all the wires and connections the the $1500 unit needs.

Works as advertised but software issue
Comment:
I bought the Engenius unit and replaced the original aerial with an Ultra Omni High Gain one to link to my house wifi from a barn office using a laptop with Vista. It performs more successfully that my previous set up. BUT one thing! The Engenius software supplied did not work with Vista. I was directed to the Driver Detective web site. Maybe they are linked businesses as this was a very ingenius way of extracting another $29.95 subscription! As I was (site) etc and the combination has performed to my satisfaction in a number of localities. Lesson learned - read the reviews! see JanD - 2 January 2009!

Good wireless adapter, bad usb cable
Comment:
The wireless adapter works very well. I liked the ability to use a better antenna. Only problem is that the supplied USB cable wouldn't plug in to the adapter. But I used a different cable I had lying around and it worked fine.

Good product
Comment:
It works well, especially if you purchase a high gain antenna like I did to upgrade it. The device his much smaller then it looking on this page, it's about the same size as a computer mouse. I'd recommend this for longer range wifi needs.

Great price..Great value
Comment:
Item delivered great performance. I had trouble receiving a WI-FI signal at our campsite. I installed this device and went from one bar to 5 bars in signal strength. Couldn't ask for more. Great to have with you while travelling also. It really pulls the signal in.

Excellent product for long distance Marine use
Comment:
We have been using our Engenius 362 since 2006 on our boat in the Caribbean. We use a HyperLink Technologies Antenna instead of the small antenna supplied. The unit has performed excellent, bringing in stations in different harbors over long distances. I am buying this unit for our second computer. We get good access when many other boats can hardly connect to the WiFi signal.

As always great service from here. The USB wifi card works OK but it does get very warm and I'm concerned it might be to much current draw from my Acer 1 netbook.

Comment:
I bought this antenna to get a signal in the campground, which scatters through the trees and over vehicles. We used to have to hold the laptop above the table to get a signal, but with this remote antenna, we no longer have to. The down side is that the signal strength isn't any better than what it was with the internal laptop antenna, it's just that we don't have to hold it in the air. If I had an amplifier or larger antenna whip, the signal would easily be better, but right now we're bouncing between 1-2 bars out of 5. The only other pet peeve is that the small end of the USB cable didn't plug into the antenna unit without significant manipulation. I've never encountered issues with USB cables before, and I was about to give up. There's enough metal on metal friction to almost guarantee it won't come loose. Overall, I rated it average for fit/finish and performance based on a slightly high price for what it is.

Engenius / EUB-362 EXT / 108Mbps / 802.11g / 200mW / USB 2.0 / Wireless Network Adapter
Comment:
Everything I expected. Before my internal wireless card on my laptop could not detect any networks in range of my apartment. Bought this, installed it, set the antenna in the window and now I detect 7-8 networks at any given time. The only problem is that people are a lot smarter than they used to be, so most of the networks are security protected! Still, I'm on the internet and submitting this review using a connection that I could never have gotten without this product. Good enough for me!
