Looks nice, affordable When running a game (Team Fortress two) with this memory the system would crash. I'm guessing that either it's bad memory or it was a dilemma running it with other faster sticks Ɣ-4-4-12 Corsair). There are a lot of factors why I have never ever deviated from G.Ability for system memory. For observations upon applying the memory module, I recognized a considerable improvement in bootime, application startup time, gameplay, as properly as a lot of issues. The packaging arrived somewhat broken and the chip was extremely hot- nonetheless the product was fine after letting it cool off and installing it. some specs:Windows 7 Ult 64-bitIntel Core two Duo E8400 Wolfdale five.0GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz ƕ-five-five-15)ATI Radeon HD 4600 SeriesGigabyte EP45-UD3L |

It operates. In my opinion G-Ability is decent all around RAM that need to be great for most casual users DDR2 is old and the costs are high. This is quite considerably all I buy for my older boards. G-Skill operates just about every time for me. I've got this brand in just about every machine I personal, plus many that I built for friends. Works well in my ASUS M4A77D board. I've got a mix of two and 1 gig sticks for 6 gigs total and it runs very smooth with Win7 x64 and an AMDX2-555BE. |

I bought two of these because they match the specs of previous 1 Gig Gskill memory sticks I purchased, F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ from Newegg over a year ago. I upgraded to Win 7 64 House Premium and now I have 2 of those older 1 gig Gskills and 2 of the newer Gskills 2 Gig sticks for a total of 6 gigabytes which the OS now sees. I placed the 2 gig sticks in memory slots 1 and 2 and left the 2, 1 gig sticks in slots three and 4.I'm going to take those 2 excess 1 gig sticks and construct a HTPC box for my HDTV. None. Popped them in and was excellent to go. There is cheaper memory out there to be certain but memory is some thing I don't gamble on. It has to be dependable. MB they are in is a Gigabyte MA770-UD3 running with an AMD two.6 ghz quad cpu. Everybody's happy. |

Marked improvement in RAM performance (vista x64, motherboard ASUS M2N78-LA). Superficially the RAM looks excellent - suitable for display situations. Low-cost. Ordered 3x 2GB sticks Ƒ 2x2GB and 1 1x2GB). Began getting BSODs at random occasions (within ten minutes) of starting Pc. Noted BIOS reconfigured to Computer-5300 (supposed to be Computer-6400). Did typical 1 stick at a time testing. Narrowed it down to the 1x2GB stick, which is apparently poor.Caused such instability in the program that Windows lost my User Profile information - generally trashed my user account, so I had to make another account and start more than. Almost certainly my own fault for not setting a restore point ahead of upgrade - but nevertheless annoying. Memory was really hot following only a couple of minutes of operation. I have faith - I've ordered a replacement rather than a refund - so we'll see how it goes with the new stick. If the new one is negative, I'll be returning all 3 sticks for a refund and switching to a new manufacturer.RMA by means of newegg was simple (as everybody knows). Don't let this stop you from acquiring GSKILL - stated before I am content with the working sticks. It looks like they have a two-3% fault rate (based on evaluations), which is probably not poor considering how inexpensive it is. Bought four of these poor boys for my P5N-E SLI and Vista x64 is now a happy camper. I use it for lots of stuff, gamming, sotfware development, VMware (running three instances of Server 2008 with 2GB every...) none I've lately been receiving random BSODs throughout use and during boot-up. Messages are, for the most part, random in nature creating trouble shooting challenging. I tested each and every stick individually with memtest86 and located 1 stick failing every single test (it also BSOD my vista, by itself, on every boot-up) RMAing...
