The other reviewer saying these worked in his Dell is sadly mistaken. Going to have to spend to have these shipped back and take a hit on the restocking charge too...incredibly unhappy with Neweggs compatibility rankings....said it would function but turned out it doesn't. Going to go Dell and order what they propose since I can't trust newegg to sell me the appropriate part. Economical, fantastic get. Absolutely nothing I have an older HP DV8000t. The specs say max 2g ram. I known as HP and all they could say was that was what the specs say. I took a possibility with 4 gigs, but all four gigs are recognized.

I installed this memory in to my Dell Inspiron 1420. It was a snap to put in and booted up immediately.The memory was shipped to me quick (thanks New Egg) and runs as promised. It was also a wonderful price! Dell wanted a ridiculous amount for improved memory. For some explanation my window's vista recognizes 4gb but only utilizes 3.5gb. Not the memory's fault... although.

This memory is fantastic, the price tag was low but the overall performance is remarkable. The timings created the deal even sweeter. At first I had a handful of troubles with freezing and sleep mode (yes I know I shouldn't use it) but I quickly realized it was Vista and was able to right the situation. Since the buy I have moved to Vista 64 to be able to use all 4 GB of memory. I am really happy with the overall performance improve, it is far beyond what I even expected from upgrading 2GB to 4GB

was more affordable then apple ddr2 my core2 duo 06 or 07 macbookpro 15" would not boot up or post with this inserted. tried switching no dice. might be the CL is too low for my model mac. RMA'd and ordering the CL5 version which is two or three$ cheaper for irony. crossing fingers** I do have some desktop G.ability 2gb sticks in with no difficulties previous yr and longer, so I nonetheless have faith in them, possibly the latency problem due to the fact its an older Fapbook, not the uni-body newer form.
